I love that you can order a head on his website to cut down the wait. Everything is prepared fresh so your food may take 20-25 minutes. I got the "Munch Chops" Meal. It comes with 2 sides. The only thing missing was some bread. There are 2 nice size center cut pork chops and they were tender and seasoned to perfection. He just knocked my favorite place out of their spot as the best fried pork chop in Winston. The mac and cheese looks old school but did taste like it may have a hint of sour cream. I personally prefer it without. It was still good but not my preference. The fried okra is seasoned and cooked well and I appreciated them being packaged separately. My OCD was in heaven. I definitely plan to frequent again and try some of the other dishes such as bowls and entrees. Stop by and get you some good soul food.

The Tuscan Chicken is so, so good. The chicken is smoky and grilled to perfection. Sun dried tomatoes, spinach, and mushrooms in a creamy delicious sauce. Our kids had Mac & Cheese, and loved! My husband had the Cajon Chicken and Sausage; "Slappin'" Not pictured was the yummy garlic bread. If you see this truck, you're going to want to try. You won't be able to guess by the name, but they offer a variety of tacos, burgers and quesadillas. My wife and I shared an order of (4) birria tacos. They were average sized, tasted good, though I probably could have eaten a whole order on my own. Overall, the staff was friendly, the food tasted good, they had a decent selection of options, and pricing was fair. I am a big fan of chorizo and well I am also a big fan of queso, but had never had them together. It had a little bit of a kick to it but, nothing too crazy; it really complimented the juicy burger well. The other burger on the menu that caught my eye is the breakfast burger. Their burgers are incredible and the service is fantastic. My favorite burger that I've had from Camel City is a take on Ben's Pimento Burger. You simply go up and say "I'd like the Ben's Pimento Burger 'Ben's Way'." Chances are you will be speaking to Ben himself, so there won't be any issues on him understanding you. Ben's way is the normal Ben's Pimento Burger, but instead of using the regular brioche bun they use a grilled pimento cheese sandwich as the top bun and a grilled pimento cheese sandwich as the bottom bun. Ben's way isn't for those who have heart problems or even who are worried about heart problems, but for the rest of you it is delicious! The pimento cheese is incredible here. It is chipotle pimento and is a great amount of spice. After eating this burger Ben's way, I immediately crashed and took a 3 hour nap. Clear your schedules people. It is totally worth it though. For a day when you can't take a 3 hour nap, their other burgers are delicious as well. The second best option, in my opinion, is the PBB&J Burger. This is a burger with homemade peanut butter, red pepper jelly, and bacon. This may seem like an odd combo of ingredients, but they seriously come together perfectly. I think that I could just sit around all day dipping that bacon in the pepper jelly. I haven't tried many of their sides, but I would recommend the Southern Style Potato Salad. The food here is creative, inspired, and delicious. The service is seriously some of the best that I've experienced from a food truck. They seem to have a system down. I've seen them serve dozens of hungry patrons quickly and with a smile. The owner of the truck, Ben, seems like a genuine guy and seems to sincerely enjoy what he does. Plus, he's a Tar Heel which is reason enough to support him. Do yourself a favor and figure out where Camel City Grill is going to roll up to next and make sure you are there.

As an African American with ZERO cultural ties to my ancestral home, I've been super eager to try West African cuisine. African Avenue is a bright orange food truck that sits next to the McDonald's on the Perimeter of Hanes Mall. There's safe and easy access with plenty of parking. I approached the food truck and was greeted by a friendly lady. They have a small menu, but his is a plus for me as it leaves less room for me to be indecisive! I ordered a few things. A meat pie, Bissop, and the Jollof (red rice) and Goat that's served with a side of fried plantain. The meat pie had a sweet and flaky crust. It was filled with seasoned ground meat (unsure what kind) potatoes, and carrots. It was very flaky and easy to eat. It was delicious. The Bissop is a Hibiscus drink. It wasn't as sweet as Sorrel, but was spiced and ginger forward. It was refreshing. The Jollof rice was spicy and flavorful. EVERY grain of rice had absorbed the tomatobase and seasonings. The GOAT was tender and seasoned well.The plantain was semi sweet. Overall a great dish. It only took about 4 minutes to receive my food. I waited until I got home to eat because there's no seating and I had my toddler in the car. The food was cold by the time I arrived and it was only a 15 minute drive.
