How could I not have known?! I am in Tucker all the time and have never had this hidden gem. As a native Texan I love authentic Mexican food! Friendly service and flavorful menu full of authentic tastes. I stopped in for chicken soup but they only had the beef for the day. I didn't mind the substitute at all. It ended up being hot, delicious, flavorful and loaded with beef and veggies. I couldn't not order tamales, I love them and miss the authentic flavor. I had one chicken and one pork. They also came with plenty of toppings and a side of rice. As I walked away from the register, I noticed a nice treat. Had to try it! The lady behind the counter was nice enough to warm it up for me as well. It has some sweetness and corn and stuffed with cheese. Glad I didn't pass it by lol. I can't wait to try more things at this little place.

I had one major issue... what did I want to order?!? Everything sounded delicious, but I can only eat so much. The menu is pretty big, but I settled on a chicken burrito and hubs settled on some chicken tacos. Wow!! So fresh and delicious! The flavors were great too! I need to try more items on the menu like pupusas and the breakfast food.

I have to say that I was very impressed with 502 - Guatemalan area code. I had the pupusas and agua fresca de mora. Service was quick and friendly. She came with a smile and very attentive. My husband had the HUGE Cuban sandwich but it looked more like a Shuco, a Guatemalan specialty with horchata. Price was very low price for the amount of food. I like the ambiance as it reminded me of a little homestyle restaurant. Simple and authentic decorations. Next time, I will try the desayuno/breakfast. Overall, this place is a keeper for me! Thanks to the server from Huehuetenango. She was amazing!

This isn't a date night spot (even though it should be), aesthetically speaking. But if you and your loved one wants a quick and delicious meal at an affordable price point, this is your place. Pay at the counter, get your number, and they'll bring it to you within less than 5 minutes. Except, they'll sometimes simply call your number in Spanish and only Spanish. I've made it clear that I'm not fluent in Spanish and they're trying to incorporate more English since they'll get a diverse crowd from time to time. Or, ya know, go back to just bringing my food to my number! This is bang for your buck! Dare you to compare any fast food dollar for dollar to here and tell me who fills you up more. Service They are crazy efficient in order taking and preparing the food. Ambiance Super casual spot, usually pretty busy but plenty of parking. If you come during a busy time, finding a seat might be difficult but it is well worth the effort.

I have…read morenever in my life eaten COLD GROUND BEEF ON A TACO SALAD. but yet he GASLIGHTS us and says that how ALL meat comes on a salad. It was so COLD you could see the FAT on the meat. The burrito my friend got was COLD to the touch. The cheese dip was COLD. The only thing hot were literally the plates the food came on. How do you cook cold food? I needed my soup remade bc I didn't know it contained cilantro, it took over 12 minutes. I asked about the soup and he SNAPPED at me saying it was still in the MICROWAVE. Why would my soup need to be put in the microwave? The soup was MISSING the rice and it was barely warm. If the soup comes premade with cilantro say we can't fix it without it. Don't act like its a whole problem to take the pico out and then snap at me because I'm allergic to it. *The menu didn't say the soup contains pico.* I was there a week ago and the food and the woman that served us was delightful. This week it was beyond awful. I only came back bc she was so nice and accomodating. This manager was a bad word to us. Snarky, grouchy and not at all understanding our desire for hot food. We were very pleasant and DIDN'T ask for any refund or free food, but he acted like we were the WORST people to ever sit down in his establishment and point out how cold the food was. CAN'T say it was a RACIST thing because it was a mixed group. Maybe it was a SEXIST thing. I dunno. I had on a headwrap, maybe that bothered him. I can make up all the senerios I want about why, bottom line, he was NASTY to us for NO REASON. We didn't deserve that. It was my birthday lunch, so happy birthday to me. YUUUUCK! Never again in life.

On the one hand, they do not have a lot of parking, but on the other hand, most of their customers were there on foot as Weir most of the customers for the other businesses in the strip. We walked in and were able to order within about two minutes. The menus were easy to understand with pictures for everything and the staff made things easy as well. As we ordered and I asked for the Birria Burrito, they asked which one. I let them know that I had seen a video on TikTok about their Birria burrito, but that I hadn't seen it on their menu and that was what I wanted to order. They said it was the Birria Cali and that it was very popular lately. I mean, yeah- the video made it look phenomenal and the audio with it was funny. I had also, previously, seen a video about their Machete and wanted to order that because it looked awesome as well. They had 2! One Birria (beef) and the other was Governado (shrimp). We went for the Birria- of course. Honestly, the Birria Burrito had plenty of flavor and more variety in flavor due to the various fillings- Mexican crema, lettuce, guacamole, potatoes (surprising, but honestly VERY good), plenty of cheese, and the Birria (and the sauce is poured right in- which I think could be avoided). It was delicious, but it shouldn't have been served on the paper as the paper began to rip when I started cutting up the burrito. I had wanted to eat the burrito like a burrito, but the moment that I picked it up, it became nearly impossible. The burrito completely opened up and all the fillings started pouring out onto the paper. I was able to wrap it up again with about half the fillings, but the burrito tortilla was so wet that it was just a huge mess. I ended up eating half of the burrito with a fork. I don't know why they didn't serve it on a plate. The Birria Machete was super flavorful and simple, just Beria meat and cheese with a cup of their dipping Birria soup. It was also nearly 2 feet long! Very cool. I began to wonder if the corn tortillas for the Birria Machete were made in store. I asked- and they said they do make it themselves! The corn tortillas were the most flavorful corn tortillas I've ever had! They had texture and they were clearly NOT the type of corn tortillas that I get at most places, those premade floppy unflavorful corn tortillas like the ones you get in the pack of 150 at the grocery store. When I find out, I will let you know because the texture and flavor of the corn tortilla on the Machete was phenomenal. The place was packed when we got there. It was packed when we left. Clearly, they get plenty of business. Everyone around us seemed happy and content with their food and so were we. I will definitely be back for another Machete to try some other things as well. Give them a shot if you haven't been.

Then the menu prices become inflated without any notice. But for one of the "upgrades" or whatever the reasoning for the extra charge, it was only shredded lettuce along with a small dollop of sour cream and guacamole. It was rather sad. It's something you'd get standard at a chain restaurant like El Sombrero. Oh. If you get the consome, it will be an extra charge of $2.45. And they won't tell you that. But other than that, the food was good! I really liked how they had a separate birrias menu. Make sure you bring wet wipes because your hands will be oily. The birria sliders were delicious. Our strange total came out to be $16.90. Even with the $2.45 consome factored in, the total isn't $15.40. Since they were sliders, it's rather small. They're the size of the square dinner rolls but packed full of cheese, oil, and half chicken and beef. The beef was slightly more tasty compared to the chicken but both was just soaked with their variety of flavors. The birria quesadillas were $17.40. Even with the extra $2.45 with the consome, their math is not equaling $15.95 -- whacky! As for the taste profile, deliciousness. These three quesadillas were pretty massive. And like my sliders, they were equally oily and messy to consume. The horchata was really tasty. For a large, it was $6.75. It tasted different from other places. There was a nice rice flavor to it and less of the cinnamon flavor. Would I visit again? I think not. Good food. Prices were bleh, especially how it seems like we were charged more than their menu prices.
