We are really impressed. Great company. Started off our search for new carpet at a few local stores in Pineville. All were closed because it was the day after Thanksgiving. We then stopped at Lowe's and the Home Depot and were told, after a long wait, that the process takes a minimum of 3 weeks. Left frustrated. Got home and called these people. A rep came out to our home the next day (Saturday). We picked out out brand name carpet (Mohawk). It was installed in two weeks. Great carpet, great price and zero hassle. I've used them 2 times before, but this time, it's a complete 180. They've missed deadlines, they raise the price after they've delayed your project so I cannot shop around, the raised prices are outrageous (plywood is $30 and they charge $150), and the only thing they did to help was cover our storage fees because of the delay that we don't even receive because it'll go straight to pay the storage company! My family and newborn baby still cannot move into our new home. I'm highly disappointed. read more

Zero star. Not reliable company. I recently called and asked them for the free estimate. They sent some one over it's take him almost 1:30 to do the estimate and give me the cost of hardwood floors. The total floor that we need to do hardwood was 1150 score feet. He said with sanding cost you almost $27K without sanding cost you almost $20K. That's included %60 discount as well. It's means before %60 discount that will cost thousands of dollars more. It's meant the cost of hardwood plus labor included is about $20 score feet. Remember I said for 1150 score feet their estimate cost for my house hardwood floors was almost $27K with sanding. Without sanding almost $20K. NOT RELIABLE. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND. Beware of this company! They will try to cheat you by not letting you cancel within the cancellation period if there are issues so they can charge you 20%. I spoke with a salesperson on Aug. 25 who said they could complete my bathroom and tile installation in 3 weeks or less. I paid a $1,700 deposit and was told I could cancel within 3 days if there were problems. The next day, someone from 50 floors said the product would arrive on Sept. 16, which meant it would be 3 weeks before the product even arrived. It would not be installed on time. I said I'd have to cancel if it didn't arrive sooner. The woman said she'd call me back. After receiving no call, I called to cancel the next day. Dana, the person who handles cancellations was not in, but I was told to leave a voicemail, and there would be a timestamp on the call so they'd know I cancelled within 3 days. I left a VM and said communication has been horrible, and I'm cancelling my install, but call me if there are issues. Five days later, I get a call from 50 floors saying they're ready to schedule the install. I told them I cancelled. She said there is no note of that, so if I cancel, they'll charge me 20% of the total price. The woman, I believe Danielle, was incredibly rude and said none of this was her problem. I think they've intentionally not returned calls so they could steal hundreds of dollars from me without having to do any work. read more

I heard about 50 floor on tv a while back and I said when we get ready to replace the carpet in our home with wood flooring maybe I'll give 50 floor a call. It was the one of the best calls I ever made. From David the sales representative who came to our home that was great and very knowledgeable of all the products that He showed us. 50 floor was great when it came to communication, they sent text messages and called to set up the best installation time, and also gave a two hour window to arrive and was prompt and on time. When it came to the install it couldn't have been more professional the installers arrived in mask and did a first class job. We love our floors and have received great compliments. Do value of product fine. Sales fine. Install utter nightmare. Going back a bit because we didn't post then and should have learned. Back in 2018 had carpet done in new home we bought. All debris was left on driveway and took two days of calling everybody to get it picked up. Installers said " Sorry no room left on the truck". Fast forward to 6/5/2020. Bought new kitchen flooring and installers were late, team lead literally was either in the bathroom or on his phone in the van 75% of the time. When they moved out our stove a pipe of water burst. Granted we solved that the issue was from a previous contractor but these guys basically stood there and had no clue. Of course Friday at 4:30 it was difficult to get answers. Did get a call from manager he was polite but not very helpful. Basically said call a plumber we will look at it Monday. Well we did and plumber fixed it great. Saturday they come back an hour late. Same process and initiative ( not) as the day before. They left and I jokingly said " hey my washing machine won't leak right". They laughed. Well guess what. The laundry room is flooded. Come on seriously. I fixed that mistake myself only after literally inches of water flooded the floor. Probably leaked under the new floor so that'll be an issue in the future I guess. Lesson. Don't try to get a deal. And at 5,000 I thought I'd get better service. Next time we will hire local. Sure you'll pay more but there's some accountability and pride I think is obviously lacking at 50 floor. read more

Very happy! We waited a long time to have all the flooring done in our home, and it sure was worth the wait! Joe came out on a Monday and by Tuesday (holidays in between) our flooring project was in progress! He was awesome! We did all new carpet upstairs, and engineered hardwood downstairs. LOVE! Both the carpet and would crews were amazing. Each night they cleaned up the areas they were working in and made the unlivable spaces as livable as possible. They took apart all furniture, moved it and put it back together! 50 Floors overall communication was amazing, they call when they say they will and show up when they say they will. Everyone was easy to deal with! Just a great experience all the way around- which is HUGE when you invest that kind of money!! read more

We chose 50 Floor for this installation since they installed the existing hardwood floors in this house about 4 or 5 years ago. 1. The salesperson told us the sample of Oak Saddle was a match. "That's your floor right there" (he sounded like he was convinced). While the color was a very close match, he did not disclose that the finish on the new hardwood was satin finished while our existing floors were glossy finished. You could only tell the difference when they did the install and you see them side by side. I understand wood is a natural product and color will vary, we don't have any issue with the color. They have two different finishes on them, one is satin and one is glossy. That is good information to know before it is installed and now I feel like we were misled. 2. The existing hardwood installed by 50 Floor has very tight seams where the pieces join on the ends and there is no visible space between them. The new floor has visible gaps from piece to piece as if installers with two different skill sets did the floors. I mentioned this to the installers and they shrugged and mentioned the glue. While he could push them together and get the seams to close, they snapped right back due to being set in glue. Sloppy work. 3. Pricing that is intentionally vague. Their marketing claims "free installation" but the the initial cost with "free installation" for this 315 sq ft job was over $5K. I was presented with a price of $4,200 after the discounts then a miraculous "I can give you another $1,000 off since we have a lot of this flooring in stock". So they have so much margin built into the price that the salesperson can offer a 24% magical discount? What if I agreed to the $4,200? Would he have proceeded with that? Again, if they just came out with a fair price to begin with I would not feel like I had just bought a used car and may or may not have paid way too much. read more

Terrible company that will add on extra charges the day of installation. I was told I had cracks in concrete downstairs and needed to add 5 bags of conCrete at $100 a bag. demanded the charge that day and then the installers only used 2 1/2. I was charged $500 and forget trying to contact them for a refund for the unused product. They tell you that they add extra invade of mistakes. customer service is horrible and my calls/ emails are ignored. Very bad company!!! read more

They did finally agree to reinstall the floor. It is nice and seems to be holding up. I did not receive a follow up call or quality control call after the reinstall. However, a year later I was contacted and they apologized and gave me $100 gift card for my problems. Still will not do business again or recommend but overall the reinstalled floor looks nice and has a year of traffic and seems to be holding up well. For that I have upgraded to 3 stars which is generous based on quality of customer service. read more

I was appalled with my experience when receiving a quote from 50 Floor out of Charlotte, NC.  Right out of the gate the estimator asked me if I had read their reviews online, in which I had.  He then proceeded to tell me that he was the salesman the last comment had been referring to, and that the reason he asked her if she was "waiting on a tax refund" was because she was a "black lady."  I'm not quite sure what race has to do with an ability to pay, but I found this highly offensive and inappropriate! As far as my quote went, I had let the salesman know that I wasn't interested in any top-of-line flooring, but something more mid-level because this wasn't my forever home. I also made him aware of a couple issues with my current flooring (a place where the wood had seperated due to a dishwasher leak, and a place that felt soft when stepped on).  He advised me to have new laminate flooring glued right on top of the current engineered wood floors and proceeded to show me a quote on his laptop for over $10,000!  Please note that this quote was for less than 700 square feet and EXCLUDED any installation fees (because of a current promotion installation was "free").  In addition, he informed me that I would need to paint the new base moulding myself while the new floors were being installed, shave down the bottom of my bathroom door, and move my own furniture (except my fridge and stove)... I was beyond shocked when seeing this $10,000 quote as I had received two other quotes from competitors that were going to move furniture and appliances, completely REMOVE the old flooring, and handle painting the moulding and everything else themselves! When he realizes this quote isn't even close to realistic, he then changed the numbers around in his computer and came up with a new quote in the amount of $5,500 for some LVP flooring instead.  I asked him to email me copies of the quotes, however that wasn't possible for some reason and he instead told me to just take a picture of his laptop screen for reference. As a final straw, after I informed him that I would need to discuss the quote with my husband before making any decisions, he asked me what time I would get a chance to speak with him because he would come back by my house after he ate lunch in an hour to see if we had reached a decision! Even if the amount quoted to me had been reasonable and comparable to local competition, I found your salesman to be appaling and I would never do business with your company simply because of that! read more

Well, I will say I will not be using this company again. I was told my carpet was not in stock to install in time before my new furniture arrived (this was a Thursday), so we planned for them to come out on the following Wednesday to install. Took off work to be there on that day. I called around noon to find out a time they would arrive I was told at that time the carpet didn't arrive on the truck and they were not coming. So a wasted day off work and still have to plan around this carpet once again. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! read more

It has been a year now since I had my floor & stairs put in by 50 Floors. Although the sales associate, Liz, was awesome, along with the contractors, Mrs. Lydia & her crew, the flooring is no good at all. There are 2 different types of marks throughout 80% to 85% of the floor. Originally, a manager, I will not name as he was nice, agreed that the "wheel marks," see attached pictures, shouldn't be there, but then I was told by other managers, both sets of marks are "chatter marks" from the manufacturer and are supposed to be there, although they are not on the sample board, and there's nothing they can do. After going back and forth with 3 different managers for a couple of months, they said there was nothing they could do because all of the flooring would have these marks. They didn't challenge the manufacturer at all and I doubt they actually looked at the boards because they would of easily seen, there are consistent, not random, pattern wheel marks, 2 inches apart every 2 feet. $5,000 and a year later, another flooring company-I am having my upstairs done and no way would even think about letting 50 Floors screw it up and me over again-showed me which of the 2 marks are "chatter" and which is manufacture error marks-I call them tire or belt impression marks. I rarely make negative reviews or cause a fuss, evident by me not making this review when this all occurred January 2020 and no longer continuing to contact, Mark, the store manager. But with everything going on, my conscience wouldn't allow me to be at peace knowing others may get swindled by a large company, being treated as an insignificant customer. read more

We had floors installed towards the beginning of February. The salesman was good and all was well until it came time for installation to be finished. We had a busted window, which the crew claimed they don't know how it happened, holes in our walls, trash left everywhere, and the bottom of our cabinets scraped and messed up. They also left all the trash and debris and we had to pay for a dumpster to get it cleaned up! When contacting the crew leader she was very rude and was no help. The crew leader said the manger would contact us. We we're told someone would come out to look at the damage and when the person wouldn't show up they would lie and say they did show up and we 'missed' him. (even though we have cameras all over the property) We never heard anything from him after that after multiple attempts to contact him. After weeks of fighting trying to get in contact with someone we had to find people to fix our house. We told them everything we had to do and sent them the bill. That was a whole other issue!! We never got fully reimbursed and had to contact BBB to finally have them contact us back. Don't get us wrong the floors are beautiful but the customer service is the worst, save yourself the hassle!! It's not worth it. read more

The crews were the most professional and hardest working. Each day they arrived early and stayed late. The carpet installers moved the furniture, removed old carpet, installed the new, and replaced every piece of furniture in its exact spot. The hardwood crew meticulously stained the unfinished wood to insure perfect color throughout the floor. A beautiful job. This company was very disappointing. I write this to warn people considering contracting with them. We contracted to have all the floors in our home replaced in April. What was supposed to be 3-4 days of installation became months of phone calls, letters even a complaint to the better business bureau before they have completed today. They have been unprofessional, installation was not knowledgeable and long term (as told by sales), management is rude and unhelpful and no project manager or quality control (as told by sales). They started the install early May - ran out of product (which we were told was just 200 tsf short but was almost half) and left our house in shambles for almost a month waiting on product. Then sent in a terrible installation team that damaged the house and left us with 30 places where they short cut the flooring leaving gaps, and damaged boards. 30!!!! The Assistant General Manager told us he was too busy to read our letters! Last week they came out and fixed all the issues, they have offered $250 for the damage to my walls and I will pay the same as someone who was treated properly because they have refused to compensate us on the issues we faced. 5 months and at least 5 different visits to our home, nightmare. So you can take your chances with this company but I will warn everyone in my circle to stay as far away from them as possible. Oh I gave them 1 star because the carpet installation went very well. read more

DO NOT USE 50 FLOORS The work and customer service have been subpar. We had some flooring replaced (only 500 sq ft) in mid April. They installed boards that were mis-colored and chipped. They damaged our walls and baseboards which we had to pay to fix. We still have no resolution to our issues 4 1/2 months later. Please get other quotes. read more

This an update to an original review after some problems with 50 Floor. Tomorrow morning they are scheduled to come back and replace/repair all of the issues. Should this happen correctly then I would again be willing to give them another try. The job was well done but then we ran into installation problems and a few issues after the initial installation. It wasn't handled well until after the review was posted so hopefully all will be fixed and it won't take a poor review to do the right thing the next time. There won't be another follow up unless something goes wrong tomorrow. I thank them for getting General Manager Mark Perez out to the house and set things right. read more

50 Floor replaced carpet in two of my bedrooms about 6 months ago. I've waited a long time to post this review. If you have anything go wrong with your installation, they are absolutely horrible to deal with. The management team is not in Charlotte and it's impossible to get anyone out to see issues - they just keep handing you off to someone else who is also out of town and doesn't care. I eventually had to resort to denying their calls and telling them I would see them in court before they rectified the problem. I would not recommend them based on their customer service at all! read more

I contacted 50 Floor to get new laminate in my living room, kitchen, dining room and hallway and the new tile in my hall bath. I have to say, though the flooring looks pretty good, the service was not. In the demolition of the old tile in my dining room, a gouge was put in my wall. No one advised this happened, I discovered it myself after the end of the demolition day. Also, my furniture was moved but not covered and therefore got covered in dust and bits of tile. Which was all over my kitchen and entrances to other rooms as well. There are also gaps between the flooring and my rock fireplace. I have had to bring in a cleaning service and contractor after 50 Floor was done to clean and fix things. I could not recommend 50 Floor after my experience. read more

Saw the 50 Floor commercial on TV so I scheduled an appointment for April. The representative was over an hour late arriving. When he arrived had a couple questions that he couldn't answer and had text someone to find out. They were advertising 60% off materials. The estimate they provided me was OVER INFLATED so they really were giving 60% off. 50 Floors estimate was over $9500.00 and then after the, so called, 60% off it ended up being $5938.00. Afterwards I contacted Stanly Interiors in Albemarle. They arrived promptly, answered all of my questions, and were very informative. Not only did they offer the same brand of carpet, they included in their estimate an upgraded padding for pet accidents. Stanly Interiors estimate, with upgraded padding...$5250.00. The only bad thing was that they did not arrive in masks. My husband and I entertained ourselves outside on the patio until the downstairs was done to maintain social distancing. I ordered carpet prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was originally supposed to be installed in March, but I requested to have it postponed until the end of April. They rescheduled without any issues and even allowed me to finance the 2nd half because of uncertainty with the economy/the job market. read more
