Did hard wood looking tile in most of our downstairs. We are very happy. Felipe and Patrick were excellent workers. The busted their butts to finish the project in a week and a half. My only complaint is 50 floor does not paint and some paint came off with removing of the trim. Not a big deal but now I have to find time to touch up with paint. The installers were fantastic. Very courteous and you can't seem any seems anywhere for the carpet they installed. My only concern is they have a ton of business and rightly so for their price and the install date wasn't clear when the salesmen said you will get a call in 7-10 days. We received that call but it told us we wouldn't receive installation for 3 weeks. Not a big problem for most but it was for us because we removed the carpet prior to install. Great company tho, I have been in construction for 15 years and the carpet was installed perfectly. read more

I saw their commercial on TV advertising free installation and special financing. I submitted a request for an appointment and noted the type of tile I wanted. The gentleman that came over was very pleasant, however did not have the tile that I noted on my request. Additionally, I was told that the free installation was not for tile. Our experience with 50 Floor in Raleigh was AMAZING! The crew came in at 8am, got the job finished by 8pm, stayed and did all the detail work COMPLETELY- no shortcuts- and after they cleaned up, took all the old carpeting and laminate away and left, you couldn't even tell they had been there- that's how buttoned-up they were. And our new Red Oak hardwoods are gorgeous- everybody who walks in the house notices and comments how much bigger our downstairs looks now. Not off to a good start. Booked appointment 2 weeks out, was told that whole day needed to be help as they cannot narrow down a window. Installer cancelled 10 minutes before the job was supposed to start. Can't get a hold of anyone who cares or understands. Horriable customer service. Not impressed. It's been (2) years since I had my laminate installed. But the issues didn't just start. First, I was asked to review the service on the day of sale before any work started. Was told I could only get credit for the coupon if I filled out the review first and to base it on my review of the sale but all the questions pertained to the product. A crew was sent over to do the work and only one person in the crew barely spoke English so we could not communicate. While upstairs, the floor was being put in downstairs, I heard a large crash. Thought maybe they dropped something. So after they finished and left, I went downstairs to get on the computer and the key board tray fell as soon as I touched it. They had broken it and just sat it back up there hoping I wouldn't notice I guess. I called and spoke to the receptionist and she sent them back to repair it. When they put in the base boards and corner pieces they did not permanently attach the corner pieces. Not knowing that, I used the vacuum tools to vacuum up the dog hair and have sucked up all of the loose pieces. Some I caught in time and glued down myself. The toilet in the downstairs bathroom wobbles! Not sure what that is all about. When I was choosing the product his demonstration included scratching keys across a sample piece of board similar to what I was getting. Of course nothing detrimental happened so I was pleased as I have a large dog and children who often drop utensils on the floor. Well don't drop anything on the floor! There are scratches and dings in several places in the kitchen. This type floor is not water proof I know, but was told it would take a good amount of water to cause damage. Not the case. Slobbers from my dog have caused damage in places. So far so good on the carpet upstairs but that is hard to mess up and it would be harder to detect. I know several folks who have laminate and have had it much longer and theirs is in much better shape than mine. read more

I had my office carpet removed and put in hardwood floor using 50 floors and didn't have any incident - this was about 2 years ago. Now, about 9 months ago, I used 50 floors again to do hardwoods in my living room. After about 4-5 months I noticed the wood was cupping and gaps started to appear. I waited about another month before deciding to call them to complain. It has been a few months now of terrible followup by them. After the initial call, they set out a supervisor to check, who came out and took some picture. He said he would get back to us in about a week. Two weeks went by, no call, so we called again. They said a call back would be coming within the week - no call. They finally came back after about another 3 more calls and did a humidity test (same supervisor) and said they'd be back to us in about a week. STILL not call back. 17 phone calls by us, still no resolution (they said they'd send out a 3rd party to further evaluate - still no news). My guess is that they didn't do proper climate control storage of the wood prior to the install and it's now buckling. If YOU have ANY problems with this company, plan on being VERY disappointed with their customer service - I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN - AT ANY PRICE!!!!! My issue is still pending. read more

We are renovating my mom's house in the Charlotte area, post surgery, so we started with the floors to make it easier on her body, when getting around. To make the matter more complex, we were doing this remotely from different cities. Our initial install was cancelled due to rain. The installers have to cut the carpet outside then bring it inside to trim it to specs. So the install manager Dan Dempsey personally called and said "we will make this happen and do all we can to get it scheduled when it's convenient for you and your family." He even provided us with his personal cell, in case we needed to reach him, in case there are any hiccups going forward, with our coordination--this was truly first-class. Our installers were Fernando and I can't remember the other guys name, but they were truly professional and did a great job, although we didn't spend a lot of money, in the big scheme, but the company made us feel like we were first-rate celebrities and that meant a lot. We couldn't be more pleased with 50 Floor; its customer service team, management team and installers. Can't wait to use them again on our next project! Oh and the floors looked amazing (smile). read more

I do not recommend 50 floors. It took around 10 months to complete the tile and hardwood floor installation because of all the issues. Everything had to be done multiple times to do it correctly. The most recent issue is that I can not remove my dishwasher because the floors were build around it. The only solution is to remove and replace the countertop. 50 floors said it is not their fault and take no responsibility. read more

Please contact 50 floor if you want to overpay for cheap polyester carpet. They are just like empire, come to your home, offer bad selection of carpet (only 1 nylon choice) and play pricing games. No good. Poor service. Floors are even worse! Use someone else!! I had floors put in in August and they are already all scratched up. The molding was poorly done and it took 3 days to install with workers not showing up till after lunch. After calling about the molding they scheduled an appt to come out to fix and did not show up two different times with no call. They do not value your time and have no idea what customer service means. Problem is still not corrected and I have to call them every time. I'm not even sure they screen there sub contractors before putting them to work. What a let down and a lot of wasted money!! read more

We are in the Tega cay and hired 50 floors to replace all of our carpet. This is the worst company ever!!! They sell you the lowest grade carpet possible, although they tell you it's pet friendly- so you assume it should be pretty durable . NOT TRUE!!!!! The installers came as agreed and it took most of the day. The following day I noticed that one of the installers used our lower level bathroom and flooded it all over the floor. Disgusting- and I had to clean it up!! As for the carpet... It's been about a year now and it looks like we have had it for at least 5 years. My husband and my small little bichon are the only ones living in our home (no kids or other people) - so why is the carpet so bad????? We feel lots of lumps under the carpet which means they left dirt and debris under the carpet and there is no way to get it out. They also carpeted our stairs and you can see gaps next to the wall and stairs. I would definitely NOT reccomend this company. It was the worst investment eve!!! read more

Worst service and sales reps out there. Quality of product is horrible! The sales boards and what they actually come to install are not the same. This company took more than 6 months to finish and fix everything they screwed up in my house, granted they subed it out to people who knew what they were doing (thank goodness) but it took phones calls to regional managers and VPs to get it done. Be warned and stay away from them. Every time I called there were excuses after excuses, they even told me they fired crews because of the poor workmanship and not installing product correctly. I dont find that to be ethical, who tells a customer that you are trying to satisfy about people they have fired or let go? Salesman was a super nice guy and he measured and told us we could use what was already down and we could add to it. Installers came to drop off the wood so it could accumulate. In broken English he told me we could not use what we had. After a few back and forth phones calls 50 floors said they would pay for the mistake and do entire house. We were on a serious time line because we were going on vacation. Long story short we left the county and we had a family overseeing the project. We came back a week later and the floors were beautiful. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The only thing I wasn't happy about was that they didn't do any follow ups to make sure everything was good. read more

We had spent over a month trying to decide what we wanted to do about flooring for our den, stairs, and entry from garage. After spending time going to Lowes, Home Depot, Lumber Liquidators, and talking with Empire we reached out to 50 Floor and met Steve Williams. When Steve arrived he was very courteous and after explaining the pluses of working with 50 Floor, Steve listened intently about our wants and needs. Steve introduced to some great products and solutions for our flooring needs. He helped my wife with color and style samples and she was thrilled with what she chose. The installation went exactly as Steve said it would. The installation went perfect. The installers were knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. They did an unbelievable job taking care of our property and we could not of asked for a better installation and cleanup afterwards. We have already shared our experience with our neighbors and have invited them in to see how great it looks. Hats off to 50 Floors and especially Steve Williams for an exceptional job!!! read more

Do not recommend. Not impressed with sales person or installers from 50 Floors. We were told installation was a two to three day job. Installers finished in one day, ... major red flag! Sales person told us vinyl wood plank flooring would successfully be installed directly over existing flooring in kitchen, bathrooms, bedroom, hallway, entry. Salesman should of made us aware about different options for baseboards for new flooring installation. Instead of pulling up and reinstalling our original baseboards, we were told quarter round is installed up next to baseboards. Quarter rounds were horribly stained and did not come close to matching our existing baseboards. In all installation areas our baseboards had to be replaced and re-stained. Flooring was installed improperly leaving several transitions in places not needed and looked very out of place. Flooring dipped in areas not floated when walked on. After installations doors would not close over bathroom bath mats. We were told 50 Floors did not plane doors. What flooring company doesn't plane doors after installation where doors are too close to new flooring? Took two and one half months for company to make it right. All vinyl plank flooring had to be pulled up, floated & reinstalled correctly. Re-installation was done properly. The nice district manager call in on our job for proper re-installation did not make up for 50 Floors higher prices, packing our household up twice & being displaced in our home for two and a half months. We had hoped paying for the higher cost of 50 Floors flooring would insure high quality of installation. We were wrong. Improper flooring installation, using installation with quarter round and not pulling original baseboards for installation proved to us 50 Floors was more concerned with their profit than quality of installation. Only good thing we can say about 50 floors is they finally make "most" right after two and a half months. The caulking where fireplace was undercut was never done as promised by 50 Floors sub contractor manager. We are also pleased with flooring product itself. No follow up or phone calls after re-installation. Save yourself money and installation headaches. Don't call 50 Floors. read more

I had an estimate from 50 floor by Tony Harrison. I believe their practices are very fraudulent they start out with the price very high and then they come down to 50% . They give you no bases of what they're providing a price for, just give you a sum total of your bill without a breakdown.. This is not a place to do business.... We put flooring down with 50 floor 3 years ago , normal household . The finish started looking dull and cloudy. I called 50 floor and told them the floors look like they're 15 years old and they need to take a look at them...... They asked me to send them pics as I did and the immediate response was that the company they used will not warrant it, your out of luck. I then asked for them to come out and look at the floors. I received a call from Jim O'Leary representing 50 floor who came out and looked at my flooring . Upon walking into my house he looked at the floor and knowing they should be replaced started telling us how 50 floor will not replace ,fix or do anything.... your problem ! He asked what our expectations were of the floor and we told him that they look ten years old and that our cabinets look in better condition than our floors. His response was, " You don't walk on your cabinets and your little 8 lb. dog made all the scratches. It's in the fine print that a pet produces scratches on these types of floors." So, my answer to that is 50 floor will sell you a floor, but you cannot walk on it and you cannot have a pet because it will look dull, cloudy and have scratches from after 3 years. Then the rudeness begins. He starts telling me how he has been in the flooring business for 20 years and he is here representing 50 floor that there's nothing they will do , the floors look like crap but its all my problem , normal wear and tear ..... 3 years old and embarrassing to have company over..... when they sold me the flooring it was great ....you have a lifetime warranty and anything that goes wrong we're here ... Blah Blah Blah .... Bull ..... on top of it all, as he's in my house and the face of the company 50 floor.... I said ok, I know where to take it from here ... His response blew me away... he says, "If your planning on suing us you will lose" where the heck is this coming from ! At this point my wife is furious and lifts up the rug in our family room and shows him the difference of the floor underneath compared to the walking area. I asked him to leave my house .... Never had to ask anyone to leave my house ..... Charlotte Location. I would give less then 1 star if possible. The installers left dents in my walls, mastic in my carpet, wore wet shoes through my house again and again leaving stains. The cleanup I will have to do will take me days. 2 men and a boy who couldn't have been older then 12 showed up to do my install. On top of it, they showed up to finish the 2nd day and told me they couldn't put the toilet back on in my bathroom, because the tile raised the floor so I would have to call a plumber to come out and extend the pipes. This experience was beyond horrendous. Now I will say the main installer was very nice, and the floor does look good. But that could have been accomplished without the damage to the home. read more

My review is with the Garner office. I was thrilled to make the updates to my older home with tile and hardwood flooring. The rep came out and we chose the flooring. In July the install began. Started out with the tile in the kitchen and then the hardwood flooring throughout the front of the home. The hardwood flooring looks great and I'm pleased with that. However, the tile is not completed. The tile installer had a medical emergency, which I completely understand and sympathetic to the situation. It's now September and I'm still waiting. I've had some additional renovations done to the kitchen and I was going to use the same company to install tile in some areas in the kitchen that were changed; but I'm skeptical about doing that now. When I called the company I was told that they haven't heard from the installer and trying to hire someone and couldn't tell me how much longer it would be. I was also told "we're 5-6 jobs behind schedule so we have customers waiting." Here we are in mid September and I cannot move forward with an unfinished tile job. Make sure your floor is properly prepped!!!! Brad Glover came out to our house to show us the flooring. We choose one and committed that day! We were completely remodeling (walls, etc) so when the shell of the room was ready I called Brad back out just to make sure our measurements and the "dip" in the floor would be ok for installation. Brad said all was good to go. The installers showed up as promised and immediately started pointing out issues with my floor (sloops, etc). We were aware of these, which is why I called Brad back out the 2nd time. We were at a point that we had to move forward (due to cabinets, etc scheduling). We allowed 50 Floors to continue. They used some of my husbands materials. Our end charge for this work that should have been called out in the beginning was an additional $800.00. After speaking with Brad and his manager Mark Perez they took $100.00 off still leaving me with an unexpected balance of $700.00. My floors are BEAUTIFUL and I couldn't be any happier with the outcome of the floors. However I was not prepared and am not happy about spending an additional $700.00. read more

If I could give ZERO stars, that would be more descriptive of my experience with 50 Floor. I had them come out to my home, present samples, and I signed a contract for hardwood floor. They came a couple weeks later to install it. I could see that it was the wrong color before the installer even brought it through the front door. When I called management, I was told that sometimes the salesman's samples have faded over time because they keep the samples in the car. At this point, we hadn't even opened one box. They should have just taken it back as I asked, but they refused to do that without penalizing me (hundreds of dollars). They finally talked me into opening the box so we could lay it out and see it on the floor. That's when it happened--with the box opened, I could now see that the HARDWOOD WAS NOT HARDWOOD AT ALL! It was like pressboard with a thin layer of cheap wood glued to the top. That was the last straw. I have been calling to get my money back. Nobody calls cback. I'm afraid I will have to actually get the police involved. What a nightmare. read more
