Hidden gem of a place! This may have been the best green chili I've ever had! I'm not a huge fry fan but I ordered the green chili fries and they did not disappoint! Fresh cut fries, phenomenal chili, the salmon was amazing, my mom said the jalapeño blueberry marg was the best marg she's ever had... there were no complaints at the table. Service was fast, they don't take reservations & th place was packed but there was no wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute local interior & good vibes inside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Would be a good place to go watch a sports game[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Wow, what a great little place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We just sort of stumbled on this whole house shopping near Simms and Quincy. Seafood and steak is like a mating call for my wife and I so we opted to stop in. We were immediately seated by a beautiful young woman that was chatty and fun. Our server was a young man named Austin and he was spot on. Fast, efficient, outgoing and friendly. I ordered a club sandwich which was, hands down, the best club sandwich I've had lately. Even the fries were top notch. My wife had our realtor had the steak sandwich and both loved them. Three meals, three drink and a beer came to fifty five dollars. That's extremely reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Don't let the strip mall location fool you, this place a real gem and clearly a favorite among the neighborhood locals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We are going to come back in the future and try the dinner menu.

This is my go to spot in the area for their fish fry! Usually order to go and the order is correct every time. All their food is amazing, especially the fish and burgers. Highly recommend

The fried fish, salads, baked potato were very good. My porterhouse steak was very disappointing. Full of grissle I could hardly cut through. At least a third of the steak was not edible. Steaks I've had in the past were not like that. Service was very good. Served by 3 different servers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is very comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chili Relleno ... get it now!

Totally worth the trip! What a great place... super friendly staff, eager to help You pick the right item. We went in for Sunday breakfast... they only service breakfast on Sundays. It was amazing. Ordered an extra plate for the table so we could try an extra dish! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a Broncos football game happening that day so the place was hoping with excitement with the locals ready to cheer them on![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is definitely a hometown feel with a strong Broncos feel. It was inviting me to sit down and enjoy the meal and take in the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

How did I not notice this gem? I bought my paddleboard with their next-door neighbor! They're 8.5 years old and they make the best steak salad! You can load up on meat and veggies all in one meal. They make them delicious! Im so happy @yelp suggested them for early dinner. They're next door to Home Depot on the other side. Their prices are almostunheard of. I think my Rib Eye with a side of fries and salad were $17. They have a full bar and when we were there service was above average fast. If you're in Morrison drop by and support a local owned small business!

Ask the Community - 5281 Seafood, Steakhouse and Bar

    How is the walleye?

5281 has some of the best fried fish on this side of town!

Do they have good fish and chips?

I liked their Fish and Chips, good batter. I liked the batter over the breading at Yabby Hut. Almost as good at GB Fish and Chips on Broadway. Lots of other great choices on 5281's menu. They are easily accessible to those of us on the West…

Does this restaurant deliver or have take out options?

No delivery but we have ordered take out once, it was a pretty smooth process but be warned sometimes they don't answer the phone. So I would say take out is hit or miss.

The atmosphere is fantastic--sophisticated yet incredibly welcoming--but the food and service are what truly set this place apart. Our server, Shannon, was absolute perfection. She was over the top with her kindness and went out of her way to make sure every accommodation was met. Service like hers is rare and made the night feel truly special. The Food: * The Steaks: We had the Filet Mignon (served over savory mushrooms) and the Bone-In Ribeye. Both were cooked to a flawless sear, incredibly tender, and topped with a rich compound butter that took them to the next level. * The Sides: You have to try the Jalapeño Creamed Corn. It's velvety, sweet, and has the perfect hint of heat. We also loved the fresh shrimp and balsamic-glazed avocado salad. * Dessert: We finished with the Strawberry Cheesecake on a chocolate crust. It was the perfect, decadent end to a beyond-delicious meal. Between the world-class steaks and the legendary hospitality from Shannon, Manning's is a 10/10. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Asked for medium rare- it was burnt/black on the outside and completely tasteless on the inside. It was super oily as well and lots of fat on it. The side of cheesy potatoes was drenched in oil- my partner didn't even finish it. Steak Bachemel sandwich was tasty but very messy. The fries were over fried so unenjoyable. Service was extremely slow even though they weren't busy. We waited around after we finished eating- for 15 minutes until I gave up and went and asked someone to ask our server for the check. I remember eating here once before many years ago but I forgot to review. I did remember it was about the same quality of food and service. Located in the red rocks south west of denver, this restaurant has been around for over 60 years and seats over 300 indoor and outdoor with tons of space and room to seat large groups, events or intimate twosomes. There is a Cantina which was recently remodeled but we never went in there. Seemed like a popular spot as well. Service is great and personable. Not too much and not too little. It's modeled after a real historic fort in southern Colorado and brings a definite southwest vibe. Service is very spot on for a restaurant of this caliber. Food is great and priced to come with high expectations for quality and taste which I think they delivered on. Steaks were huge and cooked perfectly. Sides and any number of options available but I just like horseradish with my ribeye. Salads and appetizers were great. Table was swamped at one point and staff was great to help manage things so that you were not feeling awkwardly limited. Drinks came fast and delivered on expectations including ordering a Jim Bridger which is no longer on the menu but available for locals who care. Dessert was so good and wow, enough for four people to share. Also, bread was on the table and delivered hot and fresh. From start to finish we had a fantastic experience. Highly recommend The Fort.

Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and made recommendations for nearly everyone at the table. However, some of the presentation options are less than satisfactory, specifically the Gonzalez strip, which I ordered medium rare. The steak was perfectly cooked, but it was topped with cold hatch chilies, which were very wet and cooled the steak before I was halfway through. My wife had the Incorrect steak, which was seasoned and cooked a perfect medium rare, and was far superior to my own. Paired with my entree was the prickly pear margarita - it was delicious and flavorful, but on any hotter of a day the crumbled ice will water down your drink before you get to enjoy it. Mine was significantly watered down even on a 75° evening and I did not order another. To cap it off, the server inquired about a zero dollar tip, (a fair ask) which was determined an open check from previous guests that sat at our same table earlier in the evening. Call me nitpicky or particular, but at $80-100 per person, sans dessert, there some missteps in execution. There is nothing about the quality of food or friendliness of staff that is lacking, but I would evaluate other options before deciding to return.

There was nothing horrible. And the server, though very, very busy, kept us attended to. The decor is quaint and befitting a breakfast spot and we enjoyed studying the pear tree just outside, which was loaded with pears. But then came the food & beverages. Wife really likes her coffee & she said it was run of the mill - at best. My breakfast tea was a basic tea bag & a small mug for steeping, which was fine. They did supply a little pitcher with extra hot water (but just the one tea bag). She ordered a waffle that was quickly cooling & couldn't melt the butter, eggs & bacon, crispy. I got the cinnamon swirl pancakes, eggs & bacon, crispy. Mine was ok though the pancakes were fairly flavorless. At least one of her bacon strips was soggy & undercooked, however the scrambled eggs were overcooked & dry. They also charge the extra amount for using a credit card, which is not unusual these days but still, given the relative disappointment, we didn't want to spend more, so left cash on the table.

The vibe is classic cozy steakhouse--dim lighting, comfortable booths, good for a casual night out. We kicked off with the shrimp cocktail, which was good: decent-sized chilled shrimp with a tangy cocktail sauce. Asked for extra raw horseradish to really make it pop! The new bread offering was much better. Super-soft sweet rolls were an upgrade over the previous offering. For mains, we tried the ribsteak (bone-in) and the sirloin with mushrooms and truffle from the Winter Grill menu. Both were cooked to our requested temps (medium-rare), juicy enough, and the grilling was competent with a nice char. The ribsteak came with sautéed mushrooms that added some nice flavor. The sirloin featured cremini and shiitake mushrooms in a creamy truffle sauce, which was rich and indulgent--the sauce was probably the best part of the plate. That said, the quality of the meat itself felt a bit questionable; it was tender but lacked the deep, beefy flavor or marbling you'd hope for at this price point. More disappointingly, there wasn't much discernible difference between the ribsteak and the sirloin in terms of taste or texture--both felt pretty similar, which made the higher-priced ribsteak seem less worth it. We finished with the Billy Miner Pie, a classic here: mocha ice cream on chocolate cookie crust, topped with hot fudge and caramel. It's rich and satisfying--definitely a highlight of the meal. Our server was friendly and efficient, no complaints there, and the place wasn't overly busy. Overall, it's a reliable chain steakhouse option if you're in the area--good enough for what it is, but the main reason we come here is proximity. Solid, but room for improvement on the star of the show: the steaks.
