They had a wide variety of choice for their drinks. I believe that they make all of their own alcohol on site. The service was very good, I was impressed by the kindness and knowledge of the drink menu that they had. I tried a few items off the menu. I had the chips and salsa which were very good. I believe the chips and salsa were made by the food truck that is outside. The Mac and cheese was good but a little overwhelming with the thickness and amount of cheese sauce put on it. The chicken wings were very good, well cooked with great crisp on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. My favorite item were the sliders though. Both styles were really good and for $5 each it is a great value. I enjoyed my experience at Rocket Spirits and will be back to try more of their food and drinks.

We had time to go grab a cocktail from the bar prior. Ryan was behind the bar, crafting beverages for folks. My husband chose to have a Sazerac, while I went for an espresso martini. Drinks in hand we headed back to spend time with Forrest, who took us on a brief tour of the facility. He gave us the history of how Stranahan's started. It was interesting to learn that they bottle by hand. We came to our tasting set up. At each couple there were jars with items to smell that would be aromas or tastes we would experience, like rose, leather, tobacco, and cinnamon. There were four tastes paired with caramel, cheese, chocolate and fig. Each pairing brought out different flavors in the whiskey samples. We both had a lovely time and at the end, I had my husband pick a favorite for me to get for him for his birthday. Great experience!

She gave me permission to share her name in my review: Frances. And she to make sure to let Wally know she is far superior hahahaha! Her enjoyment and love of her work made the tour so much better than any tasting experience I have had. Take some cash to tip your guide at the end! The separate bar is lovely, beautifully crafted and plenty of room for friends to enjoy the full menu of spirits. Highly recommend!!

That's the purpose of calling ahead and making reservations, to let them get prepared for you. Work _with_ the establishment, not against it, and they'll take care of you. It's not reasonable to just walk in without giving them warning, then complain about the result. That's on you.

Their Old Fashioned is incredible. With only a rinse of simple syrup, the flavors of the whiskey and bitters really come through. Very dry, this is not a sweet drink as found in some bars. The Manhattan is similarly classic. Ice gets special attention here. When not in a rough hewn cube, it is crushed with a wooden mallet in an ice bag. The bartenders are outstanding, amazingly fast considering how complicated it is to make some of the drinks. I like that they speak in loud voices and can be easily heard oven the din.

The table we sat at was a little strange as it was kind of a circle booth but the table had corners at the back side that made it hard to get out of. They had $15/hr for unlimited play as of this writing and our party of four certainly got our money's worth. It wasn't crowded at all on a Monday at 1pm (unsurprisingly) and we kind of took over the place. An older gentleman was working the whole place, and he made some surprisingly good cocktails for what is basically an arcade. It's not huge, but a decent size, with two floors. A few machines on the first floor was off limits for unlimited play, but everything else was fair game. Our favorites were the South Park (natch) and Iron Maiden machines, along with an oddball non-pinball machine called Ice Cold Beer which was simple but quite challenging.
