Omg! The smash burger with gauda cheese (personal preference) is so good! I couldn't stop eating it, I inhaled it!! The service is on time and extremely friendly and the ambiance is amazing! Great place for friends n family

Cheeseburger, waffle fries and cheese, and chicken fried chicken. This was the meal for two combo

For the cost it was a decent value but honestly the same money would have bought me a tastier meal somewhere else. The combo came with two meals, and appetizer, and a alcoholic drink for two. We ordered to go and when I entered the to go entrance nobody was there so I asked a waitress for help and they found my food quickly. The restaurant looked lively and I liked the dim lights and ambiance so maybe my experience would have been better dine in. When we got home there were no utensils which isn't a big deal considering I was at home, the burger was a bit dry and the mashed potatoes were super bland even with the gravy. My wife's chicken fried chicken didn't have great flavoring and was small in size. The best part of the meal was the Long Island we ordered, it was strong and there was enough for the two of us. I would give them another shot but next time will have to be dine in.

We've eaten at 54th Street Restaurant & Drafthouse quite a few times and generally like it. It's conveniently located close to our neighborhood and is in step with places like Chili's or Applebee's. It's often busy with a short wait, though on most visits we've lucked out and have been seated right away. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with large, open pathways, which I really appreciate. The waitstaff is usually friendly and timely, and the food typically comes out hot and tasty. On our last visit, we started with the Gringo Dip with salsa and tortilla chips. I ordered the calamari appetizer as my meal. It's battered and fried with grated parmesan and cherry peppers, and it was pretty good. My husband had the California Bleu chicken salad with grilled chicken, and he really enjoyed it. Our granddaughter ordered the kids' chicken strips with fries, which are pretty standard, and it comes with ice cream, always a hit with her. Prices are reasonable, and it's a solid, reliable spot we'll continue to visit.

This is a real sports bar and grill without the yelling and screaming. I like to call these the high-end sports bar. It's a pretty spacious place with a few turns here and there, plus a large, shady patio. But I will tell you that there are multiple televisions. I think that is really nice because the customers can watch several different games at once. Now, I ordered the Pacific Fish Taco Platter, grilled with rice and refried beans. A bunch of surprises soon follow. The dish came to the table hot. I mean, the tacos, the rice, and refried beans came out hot, not like warm but hot and ready to eat. Also, these were the first fish tacos I have had with a big piece of fish. I loved that they added the red pepper sauce and cotija to the cabbage and cilantro. Also, let me add that the rice and refried beans were good. My friend ordered the lemon pepper dry wings. I taste them and order a takeout of wings for later. I like that they were crispy and moist on the inside. I like that the lemon pepper and salt were distributed nicely on the wings. So, I had to get them. Also, I want to tell you the menu is huge with so much to choose from: burgers, chicken, seafood, salads, sandwiches, soups, and more.

Tuesday "date night" as the wife just flew back to town. Navigation routed us down the 71-45, right past 54th Street restaurant (54). The place was fairly busy, but still we were seated right away. Yet it took about 5-7 mins before we were cheerfully greeted by our server (Ava-Joy). We split a Cuban Sandwich, with sweet potato fries and a classic salad. This was more than enough for the two of us. The portions were ample and a great value for the price. Tender turkey and pork on a Ciabatta roll. The salad was a large bowl of fresh greens, egg, and assorted veggies. The only issue I had was there seemed to be a delay on anything we asked for. Extra plate, sweetener, Lemon wedges, just took long enough to affect my experience. I really like the menu at 54th Street restaurant. They have a happy hour from 3-6pm, & 7-9pm., with some really great deals on shareable meals and drinks. We love this as we get to sample a variety of items, without spending $100 for a meal for two. I invite you all to come on down to P-town or the Cedar Park location. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

The wait was a little longer than expected, but well worth it. Food was excellent and cooked perfectly. Staff were friendly and polite.

    PRIME RIB FRENCH DIP*

Prime rib dip was fantastic although just a tad too salty but nonetheless it melted in my mouth. I'm sad we ordered this food from door dash I could only imagine how much better it would had been to eat it there right out of the kitchen. At first glance I was disappointed from the big take away box and tiny sandwich. Yes it was half sandwich and salad combo so what should have I expected right? I love the sandwich and my mouth is drooling thinking about it. The salad was actually really good as well, even without chicken but that's okay. Their dressing was super tasty and they give the perfect amount. They don't skimp you that's for sure. All in all Id definitely go back and experience this place fully and I'd get the dip 1000%

Your Yelper Girl here! Yelped the Cedar Park location so my man crush turned fiancé tried this location. Service was outstanding. The online waitlist is awesome. Main entrees were delicious. I ordered the cheeseburger and fiancé got the fried fish tacos. Presentation and taste were delicious on both. One thing that could definitely be improved at both locations is having the SIDES hotter temperature wise. My fries were warm and so were the grilled vegetable medley he ordered. Hotter sides with the main entrees would make this Yelper Girl yelp with excitement!

A friend and I had lunch at the Pflugerville location of this chain restaurant on a recent Tuesday. The restaurant is in its own building in a shopping center area. We arrived shortly before noon, but the parking lot was fairly full, with lots of pickup trucks parked facing out... which struck me as a bit odd. We were seated immediately in the only remaining booth. Service was excellent, both courteous and timely. The menu is large and laminated in plastic, with many selections. At lunch (11 am-3 pm), there is a variety of very reasonably priced ($11) options. My friend had been to this restaurant several times previously and said everything was excellent. We both ordered the "chicken avocado grille," a sandwich that includes seasoned fries. We opted to have it served without the bun. The meal was nicely plated, and I loved the generous chunks of avocado atop (vs being spread for a sandwich). The chicken was beautifully grilled, and the bacon amazing. The tomatoes were mushy and should have been omitted, but I forgive this because everything else was so good. The fries were crispy and tasty, but a bit salty for me. In summary, we enjoyed a great meal at an excellent price in a very pleasant atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant heartily for a good lunch, and will give it a try for dinner some time soon.

Came after work for a quick lunch. I wanted to order to go, but they do not accept phone in Togo orders. The only option is to order online- which would've been fine, but the online interface does not allow the customizations I needed. So I was forced to go in. Don't love that, however, I sat at the bar and received excellent service from Parker. Such a sweet cutie pie. I ordered the mezcal margarita spicy- and it was delicious! Normally spicy drinks don't actually have any spice, but this one was really really good. Then I got the turkey sandwich (whole) with a side tortilla soup. Fantastic. I was in and out within 30 minutes. 4 starts because of the inability to order over the phone. They should fix that- or fix the online interface. I wanted a whole turkey sandwich and the only way to get that was to come inside.

    Rick S.

We used to enjoy coming into this restaurant, but lately the service has been very poor. Forgotten items from our order, not checking in on drinks or just a few of the faux pas. It's a lot of management dysfunction, letting servers stand around using their phones instead of waiting on customers. Not coming back here.

Ask the Community - 54th Street Restaurant & Drafthouse

    Do you have vegan options?

What's the ambiance like? Are there booths and is it quiet enough to have a good deep conversation at your table? Or is more like a sports bar with music and TVs blaring?

I have only eaten in the bar twice. It is a little on the Sports Bar type. The wait for tables in the actual restaurant is always long. I would say give that a try. It is a very nice place so worth the try. Great food anyway.

    What is the price range?

Hi Cynthia, our prices range from $8.50 to $28. We pride ourselves in generous portions of scratch made food and drink! We hope to see you in for a visit. Thank you! -Kelly

John passed away in early 2024, while his family took over the shop in Pflugerville. Now just about a decade after opening shop, Brotherton's is closing down at the end of August. Following John's passing, they've hit a few road bumps from the rising cost of beef that's been plaguing Texas BBQ. Earlier in January they posted on social media how they were struggling, and again last spring. At the start of August, the Brotherton's family announced Brotherton's Black Iron BBQ in Pflugerville was shuttering for good at the end of August. Knowing this would be the last time I would be able to try it, my buddy and I took an extended lunch break on a Friday to give it a shot. Upon arrival at just around 11:50, we noticed that the parking lot was packed with multiple food trucks and other businesses filling the shopping center. We got lucky with a parking spot far away as we marched inside to wait in line. On the door lay plenty of stickers from different BBQ joints from Texas and beyond, with even some coming from overseas. The line moved slowly but surely, and as we got to the front we got our three-meat plate with a bonus slice of turkey for good measure. We ended up getting to Brotherton's at the perfect time because we got the final slices of brisket on that glorious Friday. I'll share my thoughts on everything we tried: Brisket: Though it looked like a great cut that was nicely seasoned, it was pretty fine overall. Nothing remarkable about their brisket while still very fatty. Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage: Juicy, cheesy, not really too spicy on the jalapeño side of things, but that might just be from the mildness of jalapeños these days. Pork Ribs: These suckers looked incredible from the pictures I saw online and on social media, but they were kinda disappointing based on how incredible they looked visually. They were good, just not as epic as I was hoping. Turkey: Turkey is underrated in the BBQ scene, and this is no exception. A nice cut of meat! Cornbread Casserole: I could've eaten the whole thing myself, so it was a shame that we were sharing. Green Chili Mac and Cheese: I'll repeat myself. I could've eaten the whole thing myself, so it was a shame that we were sharing. As a whole, I'm very glad I gave them a shot before I would never be able to again. That's the hardest part about Texas barbecue. The best places and the historic spots can drop in a moment's notice when hardships hit or the meat prices skyrocket. Sadly, I can tell that they're already at the end of their rope with certain menu options like the loaded nachos and baked potatoes, which always seem like the sign of the end. And with how the food was simply just decent overall, it's hard to justify the rising prices. I see reviews all over saying their quality has fallen off year after year following JMFB's passing, and it makes sense: he was the heart and the soul of the business. When that vaporizes overnight, it's only a matter of time. I don't wish for the downfall of any spot, but I understand that it's bound to happen to certain ones. RIYL: Paying respects to one of the greats in Texas BBQ

When we found out, we rushed over for a Father's day meal. The atmosphere was pretty cool, interesting pictures on the walls, someone put a lot of effort, time and thought into the decorating of this establishment. All men running the joint, we told the guy who took our order(who was very nice), it was our first time here. They have been in business for 16 years(not at this location)! So lets get down to the food. My Husband ordered the two dog combo, one a Chicago dog, another a sauerkraut dog, it came with fries. He sad the dogs were amazing, they hit all the marks. The fries were ok, a little room temp(but to be fare we came there 30 minutes before closing). The soda's were really great, not two sirupy, not too carbonated, we enjoyed them. I ordered a pizza with Italian sausage added. They gave us our drinks for free, which was awesome. I didn't know what to expect with the pizza, but I was blown away by it. They should be very proud of the recipe they created. Most places over season/spice their sauces. The flavor of the tomato gets drowned out. This was absolutely not the case the sauce did not sow out the crust whatsoever it held its crisp the whole time. The sausage was wonderful. The cheese was everything you wanted on a pizza. I can say it's the best than crust pizza I think I've ever had. My husband tried it and we fought over who was going to be eating it for lunch tomorrow. It was huge. I wasn't expecting it to be that big. I will be dreaming about that pizza, and craving it. This is my go to place to get good pizza. It blows Nikki's out of the water. If you are craving some good then crust, pizza, or hotdog I suggest you go there. They also have chili fries, cheesesteaks, so much. They have one of those menus, where everything looks good, and it's hard to decide. Just try it. Warning, this pizza is 14 in(seemed bigger), and it being thin crust, and tasting so good, you might find yourself eating the whole thing. Wish we had pics to post, but we did not think of doing it, will do next time(which will probably be later this week, it was that good).

They offer two sizes, and we ordered the smaller regular Americana Cheesesteak, the Cartel, a shared order of fries, and two fountain drinks. Our total came to about $35, which felt like a good value for the amount of food. Service was friendly and they served our food to the table very fast. The fries were your typical frozen fries and came unseasoned, but that wasn't a big deal. We added our own seasoning. One thing to note is that they only serve Pepsi products. That's a big bummer for me because I'm a Dr Pepper girl, but it isn't a complete dealbreaker because they also offer tea. Now let's talk about my sandwich. It was loaded with so much meat that I couldn't even fit it in my mouth! I ended up taking some of the meat out and adding it to the fries, which turned out yummy. The steak was well seasoned, and the lettuce, tomato, and mayo ratio tasted perfect. If you're looking for a hearty cheesesteak that will definitely fill you up, Wise Guys is worth checking out.
