    Smash Burger n Fries
    James W.

Despite a few hiccups, I'm still giving them 5 Stars. Hiccups: Door was locked at 12:20 PM despite staff and customers inside. They put lettuce on my son's smash burger though it was ordered with no lettuce. They did take $9 off the bill which was great !!! The atmosphere is relaxing with TV's everywhere. They have a full bar, and an outside activity and seating area. The menu has a good selection and the food was tasty !!! The service was great. We will definitely be returning.

We were so excited to try this place and were not disappointed at all! We ordered the birria nachos as an appetizer, the buffalo chicken sandwich with onion rings, an order of wings, and drinks. My kids ordered a kids chicken tender meal and the older kid decided to go with loaded fries and add chicken. So. Much. Food. The fries were thick cut and able to stand up to the toppings, and the kids meal came with a more kid friendly matchstick fry. But the onion rings-oh my gosh they were amazing. Well battered, crispy, and delicious. The wings were honestly better than so many wings I've had lately. Our server was so helpful, checking in on us, bringing us extra napkins when we made our love of the birria nachos a little too obvious, and even grabbing us a copy of the brunch menu so I could take a peek at it for another day (and yes, we WILL be going back to check out their brunch!) one last thing: the kids meal comes with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Brunch, chicken and waffles. Not off the chain, but pretty good, very sweet and delicious.

Food was good, place is clean, and service was great. The best is the cold beers, but the number of TVs is pretty nice, one huge screen dominated the dining area but so many others so you can catch the game you want to

Amazing place to have drinks and grab a bite to eat! Really cool staff and good food. Megan & Rachael are the best bartenders :)

The long awaited successor to The Republic has opened! The interior has been completely updated featuring an enormous TV Screen at one side of the restaurant. Can you say Prime Sports Viewing! The updated bar area now features 44 Beers on tap and a unique glass bottom filling system. Supposedly this reduces foaming. This was opening night. Service was very good and Chef Mary came out to personally ask how our food was. Happy to report it was quite tasty with Prima raving about her Buffalo Chicken Tacos.

Great food, great staff. I have to say at my age fries have become the 'white noise of restaurant food'. The loaded fries are though were amazing. Game On Smash Burger was great also. The carmalized onions specifically made the burger. Not a complaint, but advice to customers the menu would lead you to believe the burger has just pickles and onions. It actually has lettuce and tomato.

The food is still good, but service is terrible. We went a week ago and the AC was broken, so it was hot and miserable...but there were no signs. Our waitress just happened to mention it and also said they were low on ice. The waitress was nice enough, but soooooo slow. A few times I thought she forgot about us. Getting our bar drinks took forever. At one point we were waiting for something and she was a few tables down just chatting it up with other customers. She stayed at that table for at least 5 minutes which feels like forever when you're waiting for something. We went several times in the first several months after they opened and loved it. We went a few months ago and the service was bad, but we were hoping it was just a bad night so we decided to give them another chance. It was even worse. We will not be going back and I don't think it's going to stay in business if this is how it's being run.

They were out of the first beer I ordered (martinhouse columbiana) so I decided to try them bourbon menu instead. I was excited to try cypb for $25 and they were out of that too. What is the deal with their menus never being up to date?! Beer selection was fairly limited too, about half of what the other locations used to have on draft and really no craft bottles or cans. Well, we decided to get some food since it was pouring outside so we couldn't leave easily. The bartender said the Brussels sprouts were the most ordered shareable so we ordered them. They had bacon but they were so overcooked that every bite tasted like really burned bacon. I was going to try to send them back but our waitress never asked if they came out OK so I just let it be. Overall, very disappointing visit.

But it was pretty hot out, and once the sun went down the party really started- there was upwards of 10 dogs when we left! The property is located out in Leander and is pretty rustic- the park is all dirt with lots of seating scattered throughout for humans (a fun vibe with mismatched chairs and tables of all styles and heights) and cute playground furniture for the doggos to run and jump on. There is plenty of tree shade as well, and water bowls set out for the pups. You check in at the bar and then can order drinks directly from a window in the dog park so you don't have to leave the fenced in park, which is nice. This dog park is super casual- no food served here, or cocktails. Just a nice straightforward (and reasonably priced) beer and wine menu. But really, what else do you need? Just some dogs, music (they had music playing) and a cold beer that comes with a cute coozie. The staff was so nice and really good with the dogs- they were there managing all the interactions and ensuring that nothing got tense. I really appreciated that. They do have doggie ice cream that you can purchase and have your dog eat outside of the park (no food allowed inside, makes a ton of sense). On that note though, it's a huge bummer that the happy hour deals got a major downgrade. Instead of all drinks being $5 flat, now it's just $3 off select cocktails and $2 off beer and wine. As I was leaving the We Are Blood donor center on Bell Boulevard, I thought "why not check out a brewery I don't visit very often for lunch?" (kids, I am a professional. Don't try this at home--a brewery visit right after dropping a pint is probably not a donor center recommendation for most normal folks). A search on "breweries near me" revealed that this spot was 1 mile away. Winner. Plenty of parking front and side, the taproom was pleasant inside and out. I took a seat at a nearly full bar next to a good group of World Cup (ESP/AUT) watchers. Two big TVs over the bar, in a large taproom/dining area with 5 more, shared with the sort of "built-in food truck" called "600 Degrees Pizza" except it's a proper pizza shop, no wheels. There's a shaded outdoor patio with a bar window, and 5 more TVs, and a covered tent area beyond that, with a play area for the kiddos. Had a Ray Ray Hazy IPA, crisp and cold and delicious NE-style IPA. I walked over to the pizza counter and ordered a slice, considered the slice/salad lunch special but opted for the HH slice special, pepperoni at $5. Minutes later a guy delivered the single largest pizza slice I have ever tried to hold in my hand to my seat at the bar. Apparently they do a 6-cut TWENTY FOUR INCH PIE for slices, so my slice was 75.4 square inches of tasty gooey goodness. Unwieldy, and took some tactical consumption logistics calculation, but I finished every bit--a meal for me, and I was glad I skipped the salad. Very good pie, and VERY filling. One more small beer, from Jester King, as I watched Spain knock Austria out 3-0. Friendly folks on both sides of the bar, good beer, and good food in a nice taproom. I'll be back.
