Loaded fries with crispy chicken (but without the sour cream and scallions at my kid's request)
    Jennifer W.

We were so excited to try this place and were not disappointed at all! We ordered the birria nachos as an appetizer, the buffalo chicken sandwich with onion rings, an order of wings, and drinks. My kids ordered a kids chicken tender meal and the older kid decided to go with loaded fries and add chicken. So. Much. Food. The fries were thick cut and able to stand up to the toppings, and the kids meal came with a more kid friendly matchstick fry. But the onion rings-oh my gosh they were amazing. Well battered, crispy, and delicious. The wings were honestly better than so many wings I've had lately. Our server was so helpful, checking in on us, bringing us extra napkins when we made our love of the birria nachos a little too obvious, and even grabbing us a copy of the brunch menu so I could take a peek at it for another day (and yes, we WILL be going back to check out their brunch!) one last thing: the kids meal comes with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Brunch, chicken and waffles. Not off the chain, but pretty good, very sweet and delicious.

Food was good, place is clean, and service was great. The best is the cold beers, but the number of TVs is pretty nice, one huge screen dominated the dining area but so many others so you can catch the game you want to

The long awaited successor to The Republic has opened! The interior has been completely updated featuring an enormous TV Screen at one side of the restaurant. Can you say Prime Sports Viewing! The updated bar area now features 44 Beers on tap and a unique glass bottom filling system. Supposedly this reduces foaming. This was opening night. Service was very good and Chef Mary came out to personally ask how our food was. Happy to report it was quite tasty with Prima raving about her Buffalo Chicken Tacos.

Service and drinks are solid, food is absolutely abysmal. I 100% believe whoever created this menu has no taste buds.

We like the University of TN games (the real UT!) I tried the Bang Bang (w/ chicken) Eggrolls & they were very good! Hubby had the Cajun Alfredo Blackened Fettuccine & it was good but HOT, HOT, HOT! We'll have them tone down the spice a little next time we order. I had the Fall 2025 Tipsy Pumpkin & it was just ok. There were little coffee grounds or something at the very bottom. I pulled up thinking I was just grabbing a little happy hour snack, and suddenly I'm knee-deep in plates like I'm at an all-you-can-eat taste-test sponsored by destiny. Happy hour food? We ordered everything. Literally. If it was on the happy hour menu, we said "yes." If there was a button that said "Are you sure?" we hit "confirm" without reading the terms and conditions. No regrets. Happy hour drinks? Dangerous. Delicious. Deceptively smooth. One more and I would've started singing along to the music videos like I was auditioning for a comeback tour nobody asked for. And speaking of music-- The vibe was straight fire. They were blasting 80s and 90s hits with the actual music videos playing, and I swear for a second I forgot where I was. I thought I was in a time machine, or at least in some kind of retro-themed VIP lounge where everyone has good taste. The nostalgia was hitting harder than the cocktails. The decor? Chef's kiss. It's giving "classy with personality," like the place knows it looks good but doesn't need to brag about it. Service? Perfect. Impeccable. Smooth like they rehearsed it. Savannah and Silvana were fantastic -- professional, friendly, zero stress, and somehow always there with exactly what we needed without hovering like a drone. Ten out of ten humans. The wild part? They have a huge menu. Like, "bring reading glasses" huge. But I didn't even make it past happy hour because that table turned into a small culinary battlefield and I was happily losing. I'm almost embarrassed it took me this long to discover this spot. This place is a hidden gem, and I'm already planning my return like it's a sequel

We had four appetizers, and each one was (a) larger than expected and (b)VERY tasty (mushrooms, calamari, fried pickles, and boneless chicken *wings. I also ordered a protein bowl, with was very well presented -- but TWO BIG GUYS were already full by then. took home leftovers for most of the appetizers and the bowl. I will return to EVENTUALLY conquer their menu. * I think they were just chicken chunks, but whatever. Service: We were late to make the waiting list but they slipped us in immediately. The place was ROCKING full, but our waitperson was there for us very fast, both in taking food and drink orders -- and the barstaff/back of house delivering. Full restaurant: FIVE minutes max. Friendly. Not just our person, but two others that I observed while seated. Ambiance: How can you measure that in a totally full restaurant? I _guess_ it was good. Table was clean, as we seats and bench. Noisy but not too noisy. Good AC. My only grumble is that the pretty front door facade is set up so that there's no rain cover. See how persnickety I need to get to criticize something?

Had to ask two different people to finally get a napkin and silverware for my food. The bathroom has no paper towels Or dryer fan to dry your washed hands. What the heck?! The busser who dropped off the food called me "boss" 2 different times (hate that). Weird pricing structure. They have a late night happy hour on appetizers that are discounted a few bucks each. Example - normal price of $12 and happy hour price of $9. To get them for the $9 price you have to spend a minimum of $3 in beverages, PER APPETIZER you order lol. So bizarre. So if you want to get 3 appetizers for yourself you have to buy 3 drinks or else it's full price. Only one happy hour appetizer price per $3+ beverage. Very weird. I've never heard of a stipulation to get a happy hour appetizer price The overall layout of this restaurant is excellent. I can see it hopping on Sunday afternoons for NFL games and Saturdays in the fall for college football games. It was very empty on a Tuesday night but most places are slow Monday through Wednesday. I hope the place can get it together with their service, logical reasoning, and implement some more common sense and hire more assertive employees and managers. It could be a mainstay in the area with better management and training. No WiFi either and poor mobile data service in this area, so wasn't able to post this review until I got on the road.

But it was pretty hot out, and once the sun went down the party really started- there was upwards of 10 dogs when we left! The property is located out in Leander and is pretty rustic- the park is all dirt with lots of seating scattered throughout for humans (a fun vibe with mismatched chairs and tables of all styles and heights) and cute playground furniture for the doggos to run and jump on. There is plenty of tree shade as well, and water bowls set out for the pups. You check in at the bar and then can order drinks directly from a window in the dog park so you don't have to leave the fenced in park, which is nice. This dog park is super casual- no food served here, or cocktails. Just a nice straightforward (and reasonably priced) beer and wine menu. But really, what else do you need? Just some dogs, music (they had music playing) and a cold beer that comes with a cute coozie. The staff was so nice and really good with the dogs- they were there managing all the interactions and ensuring that nothing got tense. I really appreciated that. They do have doggie ice cream that you can purchase and have your dog eat outside of the park (no food allowed inside, makes a ton of sense). This place may not have jumbo screens and margaritas like some other dog parks- but that's fine by me for the relaxed and friendly vibe, reasonable prices, and staff that ensures all the dogs are safe and having fun! We can't wait to come back again- especially for one of their cool events! (pet psychics!)

Negatives: -Order taker/server's heavy accent very difficult to understand. -A la carte; no combos. Side portions (tots) are enough for two people we found out after ordering. -Didn't realize the burgers come with 4 Hawaiian slider rolls as the bun; we ordered off the wall menu behind the counter. Upon picking up the burger, the 4 rolls immediately broke apart as did the hamburger patty. Ended up being a "hamburger salad". -Cheeseburger comes with pickles; found jalapeños instead, on the bottom. - Coke at the fountain tasted like Diet Coke, thought maybe the lines were crossed. Server tried it and also at the bar then checked in the back and said "out of Coke." Impressions: Didn't care for slider rolls in place of a burger bun, as it makes for a big fall-apart mess. Sweet Hawaiian comes in actual hamburger and hotdog buns!! More negatives than positives so we don't plan on going back.

The business has a music bingo on Friday nights (or every other) which can be over excessively load. I was with a group of 15+ people - fellow members of an International club visiting the location. The group decided to move out onto the patio because it was too load in the dining area to have a conversation. Shortly thereafter that, the host of the music bingo placed a load speaker out onto the patio and turned it up full blast. We tried to get him to turn it down, but he refused. Thus, our group disbanded leaving only 4 of us. It continued to be extremely load out on the patio and several people started to complain... so I took it onto my own to to turn the speaker down to a reasonable level - I received a applause from the other customers. Within moments, a staff member walked out onto the patio and turned the speaker up to a ear deafening level. I asked her to turn it down and her response was... "this is the way, it always is!" With an attitude like that I became upset - I gave her a piece of mind (a couple of word slipped out - nothing that she hasn't heard before in her life). Moments later, the manager came out and admonished me in a very disturbing manner, which again, was poorly handled. It will be suggesting to my fellow International members and my Meetup group, to look for alternative venues that will appreciate our business (there so many in Cedar Park). Apparently, Whitestone Brewery has more customers than they need. I didn't realize that I had not completed my review - this goes back to the beginning of the year. Note: the response from the Owner is completely inaccurate. Ryan wasn't even there the night it happen - only going on what his employees told him. I have witnesses (business owners that are very involved with the community) that observed the entire event and they were taken back by the whole disregard to customer service. Instead of being apologetic, he throws around statements that legitimizes his inadequacies. A real piece of work.

My husband enjoyed the chicken and waffles and isn't a big eater but it just wasn't a lot of food. It was literally ONE chicken tender divided between ONE waffle. Please see the pic. He said they were heavy on the honey butter and light on the chicken and waffles. This dish didn't come with any sides or other food. 2. Both kids (despite my advice) ordered breakfast. The eggs were ordered over easy and unfortunately they came broken and already runny (pic). The bacon on one was so very very crisp and on the other it was floppy. The hash browns were cooked in so much oil that it felt like you were eating oil - not potatoes. The biscuits were dry. The jalapeño gravy was tasty but we needed a lot more of it to make up for the dry biscuit. 3. Finally, I disliked my food last time which is why we hadn't been back for 4 years but everyone deserves another chanc. Today I ordered off their "specials" menu and got redfish. Redfish is one of my favorite fish so I was excited to try it. When it came I was happy because it was a nice sized portion (see pic). Then I tasted it. It was so fishy and as I picked it apart,I could see it was the blood vein piece. I could not eat it. My teenager is a vacuum and ate it. I then finished our 10 year olds left over eggs breakfast. The green beans under the fish were cooked well. I thought at least I can eat the green beans. Then I took another bite and noticed the SALT. I love my salt. I'm known to salt everything but these were just so so salty I couldn't enjoy them. I did eat them because I was hungry (and later my son's leftover egg dish). The other patios all had a wait. The server was sweet and the food came out fast.
