We liked the ambiance of the place and quick to check staff. I tried a few cocktails and they were good. The cornbread with the sauce is amazing. I tried the salmon as well. I have to try other things to give it a better shot. I liked what they did here changing it from a Dennys to an almost upscale place. I saw a lot if couples having dates or outtings. It's fun, definitely worth trying and having your own experience.

I had been looking forward to their opening for a while. The restaurant itself is beautiful, very clean and minimalist design. Service was great or at least we lucked out with our waitress. The cornbread was interesting, but quite tasty. The steak was a bit gummy and I didn't love the insane amount of Parmesan cheese on top of the fries. The worst part was how sick my friend and I got that night after our meal. We didn't eat any lettuce, but it matched the symptoms to the lettuce parasite sickness. I might wait for them to work out their kinks before I go back.

They served me something I never knew I needed in my life. Corn bread - not just any corn bread. Squares of brown butter cornbread ( topped with apple butter), squares of pork belly ( topped with kimchi) I've had many meals and I have never seen this combination before. I love it and I would order it again! I also ordered the bacon fried veggies. Sultry mix of Brussels sprouts , summer squash and zucchini that danced around in the pan with pork belly and then dresses with a Calabrian aioli. I also tried the bang bang shrimp. Super crispy shrimp topped with a sweet and spicy aioli. I wasn't bad it just want as creative as the other items I tried. Lastly I tried the coco mojito and it was delicious. Isn't there a song about a lime in the coconut? I was singing this in my head as I was drinking it. The staff was attentive, warm and ready to help me have a good experience. It was greatly appreciated.

Brand new restaurant so we were excited to try! Going in, just off the name, I expected American cuisine, so I was surprised by the heavy Asian influence. My initial impression from the outside was that the restaurant could use some work. The curb appeal is definitely lacking. Once we walked inside, though, I loved it. The interior is gorgeous--modern with a minimalist feel, while still incorporating plenty of interesting design elements. The service started off strong. We were greeted warmly, the doors were opened for us, and we immediately felt welcome. Our waitress was super friendly, we did like her but again shocked by something... she's never tried the food. I get it's day 3 but shouldn't the staff be required to sample the food? We ordered the bao buns and the bang bang shrimp as appetizers. Both seemed a little overcooked, but they still tasted good. The biggest disappointment for me was the menu itself. It's very limited, and I was surprised there wasn't a single steak option, wait that's a lie they had steak frites as an option. I even called afterward to ask if it was just a soft-opening menu, but I was told that those are the full offerings. The double smash burger was really good. The bun was soft, the burger was cooked well, and we enjoyed it overall, although it became a little too sweet by the end. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, and unfortunately it was so salty that I couldn't finish it--and I love salt. The bottom bun was also completely soggy. Dessert was another letdown. They only offer one option: a chocolate tart. It was, again, just meh. The graham cracker crust was incredibly hard. It actually cut my gums, and one of the people dining with us had a piece of the crust get caught in her throat. Overall, they did a beautiful job with the interior, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the limited menu and inconsistent food just weren't enough for us. I left hungry, and there wasn't a single dish that made me think, "I have to come back for that." The couple with us were upset they had Maine Root and not Coke products, he's an avid Dr Pepper drinker. If you stick with Maine Root at least carry the root beer. 3 stars because it's brand new, if this were established I'd give 2 stars. But I do want to see them do well so will follow their journey. I'd like to ask what is supposed to be their star dish, it seemed more like a lunch place serving $16 burgers and chicken sandwiches with again, meh fries.

I went for the soft opening and I thought for a first time it was a great experience. The interior was extremely trendy, clean and aesthetic and wasn't overly busy (I think that was intentional though). The drink menu was a little small for what I was expecting for cocktails, I'm sure they had more options but I would've liked to see more. Everything we got was good and flavorful but nothing stood out. Overall great service, will did fantastic and quick and honestly very affordable. Solid choice but not a go out of your way.

    Seared salmon entree

Our server was very nice and helpful. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant did start getting really busy by 5:45pm on a Saturday evening. The corn dog fried okra was ok. Personally I'd choose another appetizer. Both the salmon and the half chicken meals were outstanding. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. For an older building, the remodel of the interior is very nice and modern. Overall: Great Seared Salmon Half Chicken

Laney was amazing and the gentlemen with her. Kind and attentive. The salmon and that succotash was bananas! Cucumber salad was great as well. Yumm. Nice place!!!

    Beautiful Dining room

Grey Orchard is exactly what Round Rock has been missing. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant feels warm, modern, and welcoming. The attention to detail in both the atmosphere and service really stands out. The food was outstanding. The salmon was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful, the mussels were fresh and delicious, and every dish arrived beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in using quality ingredients and preparing everything with care. The cocktails were creative and well-balanced, and it's refreshing to see a restaurant that even invests in premium filtered water for its guests--it's the little touches that make a difference. What impressed me most was the hospitality. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted us to have a great experience. For a new restaurant, the execution was remarkable. Grey Orchard has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Whether you're looking for a date night, family dinner, or a place to celebrate a special occasion, this is a restaurant worth visiting. Highly recommended--I can't wait to come back!

Service was great, decorations beautiful, and the menu clearly has some artistry and intention behind it. With it being so new, I do think several dishes need a bit of fine tuning, but we are very excited to return in a few months and see how it's developed. Worth a try!! And great happy hour from 4-5!

The restaurant was spotless, and even the restroom was exceptionally clean, which says a lot about the pride they take in their establishment. The food was absolutely worth every penny. The migas were more like a veggie omelette. Again good but not what we wanted. The masa balls were a bit undercooked, at least for our tastes. We also had Phoebe's Benedict. We asked for over hard eggs and they came out crispy. The ham was almost as thick as the bread. The ambiance was a little ruined for us when we were sat right next to another table just a foot away from us. That's ok if it was crowded but there were plenty of open tables and staff. The service was good. The food came out fast. Just not quite what we like.

We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated in a booth. Our waiter came over a few minutes later and greeted us and took our order. What surprised us was how quickly our food came out. We were puzzled lol and had mixed feelings not knowing if it would be good or bad...survey says: EXCELLENT!! The chicken has the perfect crisp and was so tender and moist and our pancakes were so fluffy and delightful. This reminded me of the first time I ever tried Kerbey Lane almost 11 years ago. Our waiter made sure to check in with us throughout our entire stay and was friendly. I def have to visit here more often.

Which is a bummer because it's already a treat to go out to eat, and I feel like our dollars are not getting very far anymore. But we both walked away wet. And not completely wet, but weirdly his pants were wet when we left, and my right shoe and foot. Had us both scratching our heads. We were there about an hour, sitting on opposite ends and opposite sides of the booth with our kids. Nothing was spilled during the meal, but as I was walking out to the parking lot I said, "why is one of my feet wet?" Which was when my husband informed me about his wet backside. Like, how? We definitely left scratching our heads. The service was a little slow, and notably when the server came by to refill my husband's drink, instead of heading to the drink station they stopped and talked with the hostess for a few minutes before even going to get his drink. Just kind of odd overall. I also had to repeat a very simple order multiple times. I'm not sure if the server couldn't hear me, but they asked questions that I had already answered quite a few times. The food is solid, even given the previously mentioned smaller portions. Their plates were kind of heavy - I mean it's a nice style to have heavy ceramic plates, but my kid nearly dropped theirs when the food was handed to them by the server ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just didn't feel very thought through. Queso on point as always. Restaurant was clean and most stables were full. Service seemed slow, but I feel like it's hit or miss all the time, so I guess it was unexpected - we were just hungry when we arrived so it felt really extra long.

Ticked away in a little complex without 79 visibility along with a couple of other places that don't seem to get much traffic either. Finally made our first visit so we could try "the best fish & chips" in the Austin area. I was surprised how big it was, they have a patio, a bar area and lots of tables I was shocked as from the outside it looks tiny. Service was fantastic which was shocking with them closing soon. The service was enough to want me to go back hopefully for us in this area they end up somewhere close by as I know how hard it is to find good workers. Pretzels were good! My son was over the moon! Couldn't even finish half of it and he wanted to haha.
