We were visiting for a friend's surprise birthday party. There were plenty of seating options, but we sat at the bar area because the bartender was our friends favorite employee! She was great, but service was a little slower just due to the large group we had. It's nice there was a happy hour offered later in the evening that we were able to partake in. The food did its job, but wasn't exceptional. The Caesar salad had a little too much dressing. The calamari, while the chili peppers were a nice touch seemed like it might have been the frozen calamari. My husband enjoyed his burger and mozzarella sticks. Overall our experience was all about the people we were with and our friend we were celebrating!

This review is regarding to the happy hour. The menu is limited for the happy hour, but still great considering the reduced price. I love the decor of the restaurant. Service is decent as well. I recommend the crab cake and the spinach dip. The salsa that came with the dip was bad, but other than that, it was good.

Service and ambience was very good here. Our waitress was prompt and professional and our order was correct. I had the whiskey chicken wraps

I enjoy meeting family here often. The food is always good, the service is average, and the restaurant appears to be well taken care of. I appreciate their gluten free options as well. I enjoyed my burger and dressed Brussels sprouts but I felt the balance was off with the Brussels sprouts dish condiments to Brussels sprouts ratio and they definitely could have been a bit more generous with the portion size.

I've been here several times. They have a private parking lot. The decor is eclectic with my favorite item being the life-size art of an elephant's head. The service has been consistently good and the quality of food as well. Today I ordered the fajita salad with a veggie patty. It is huge! It has an eye appealing presentation and I got both dressings on the side, honey lime (too strong of a mustard flavor and not enough lime for me) and the avocado ranch was a better choice. It came with lots of crispy tortilla chips.

The decor for 54th Street was amazing. It is beautifully decorated with an elephant, sports memorabilia and pictures. Service was okay. Our server could have checked on us a little more. The food was good. My burger was good. Although I didn't eat an of the calamari or cra cake my coworkers said they enjoyed them. The have plenty of parking. They did a great job considering it was during lunch.

First time, I sat at the bar and I ordered the half slab of ribs with grilled veggies. The ribs were overcooked and the meat was dry and chewy. Two thumbs down. The grilled vegetables were cooked just right and were delicious. Ask your server on what's best to order. Usually I receive excellent service when I sit at the bar but the bartender was absent for a long stretch after my food was delivered. She reappeared when I needed my check. I like all the large screen TVs that are everywhere in the restaurant.

This place was recommended to us by the gal working at the hotel we were staying at. We got to town around dinner, and I wasn't interested in researching options as we drove about 5.5 hours after I worked most of the day. The restaurant has a great vibe, fun decor and our waitress was fantastic. She was very friendly and helped me decide on my order of chicken fried chicken, with mashed potatoes and gravy, along with the brisket beans. A solid recommendation and one my husband was jealous of. I'd never had chicken fried chicken, but now I have a pretty high bar because it was buttermilk marinated and SO tender. Absolutely recommend to anyone in the area!

1st timer here but loved the food and service. Arrived around 12 on a Sunday and it was packed inside. Parking was a little difficult to find but there were neighboring parking lots that are walkable to the restaurant. They have a texting wait list and originally was gonna be about 15 minutes but a table happened to get up so was seated like a minute later. Service was excellent, our waitress Sarah was on top of it. She rounded frequently to ensure if everything was alright, if we needed refills, etc and did it all in a very timely manner. Loved her. The food was great, my friend got a chicken cobb salad. I got the ribeye with the grilled vegetable medley (brussels sprouts, bell peppers, mushroom, zucchini). I don't usually like brussels sprouts but actually enjoyed the way they cooked them :) Calamari was a tad salty to my liking but it was still a delicious appetizer. You could pair it with cocktail, marinara, or garlic aioli and I chose aioli. Would definitely come here again for the food and service!

    Tator Kegs

1st time here- Fun restaurant and bar vibe. All the staff are welcoming and friendly. The menu is huge literally an and figuratively, we will definitely be back to try more! We had the Tator Kegs with cheese sauce, Carne Asada taco platter, and Prime Rib French Dip with mac n cheese. Everything was delicious! And the portion sizes are as big as the menu!

Recognizing my last review was from 2015 and I'm still a frequent visitor of this restaurant, it's time for an update. Still a very solid 4 performance! Today's visit was random as I didn't decide on lunch until I was around the corner. Party of 1, I opted for the bar, which was great because NCAA Madness was on. Traditional House Salad with Ranch to start and then the Chicken Fingers and Fries for the meal.... of course a side of Gringo Dip, BBQ sauce, Honey Mustard and Chipotle Ranch ( I like options). In addition to their food, 54th has great sauces! Chicken Fingers are perfect! Not too much breading, not overly crunchy and fair amount of thickness on the chicken. Fries and Gringo are forever awesome. Brittany who was on staff at the bar was very friendly and accommodating. I probably received my salad in aboit 5 min and the trailed about 10 min later. Great decision to come in.

    FRY ME SOME CHEESE

Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly hostess team, the wait was 10 minutes around noon to be seated. I was seated in an open area where they had hightop tables and a view of TVs playing sporting events. The atmosphere, typical of a bar and grill. The friendly and polite waitress Jenna, swiftly took drink and appetizers orders. I ordered a Coca-cola and Painkiller with an order of Fry Me Some Cheese and boneless wings. The mozzarella sticks were nicely seasoned, stuffed with mozzarella and fried well, the cheese bites were less desirable, with a little too much time in the fryer, leading to the cheese being overcooked and crunchy. The boneless wings had a perfect lightly breaded fry that really highlighted the chicken flavor, an example of how breading on boneless wings should be, the buffalo sauce was also pleasantly spicy and sweet. For entrees I ordered a potato soup and chicken fried chicken with Mac and Cheese for the side, and Jenna was kind enough to humor my request for a side of buns with the chicken. The potato soup was salt forward first with potato highlights coming on the back end. The chicken fried chicken was breaded and slathered in white gravy, which paired well with the side of buns, soaking up the gravy juices; it was tender, juicy, and very flavorful. The mac and cheese was a cavatappi, with a nice sprinkle of baked bread, light, and cheesy. The mashed potatoes were on the salty side, and the biscuit was airy and not to dry. Overall it was a nice lunch and Jenna's attentive and friendly manners made for a great experience. I recommend trying the boneless wings as they really stand out compared to other bar and restaurant offerings.

Tater Kegs and Tequila Wrappers, both awesome.

Took a drive to visit 54th Street Grill and Bar.. located in the heart of Wentzville, 54th SG was a nice experience. Restaurant was full from the lunch rush and waited a few minutes for seating. 54th SG's menu is very diverse with several options with appetizers, entrees and cocktails. We ordered the Tater Kegs, large tater tots mixed with cheese and fries and served with warm cheese sauce. Tequila wrappers were fried flautas with chicken, corn, cheese and sauce, both delicious. Wife ordered the chicken avocado grill a sandwich served with avocado spread, bacon, cheese and a brioche bun. Chicken was perfectly cooked and was a great sandwich. I went with the pulled pork cubano and was served with the traditional mustard, swiss and pickles. Bread was fresh and came with hot seasoned fries. Both dishes were well portioned and easily took 1/2 of our meals home. 54th SG has tons of bar and grill fanfare and service was great. Our server checked on us frequently and food was served quickly. Tables took a few minutes to service but lots of people left at the same time. Didn't get a chance to check out the bar scene but it looked packed. Definitely will be back, if you're in the area give them a try!

Our server Abby was amazing!!! She was so kind and helpful. Very patient with us. We were slow to choose what we wanted. Everything sounded so good. We settled on the clam chowder for an appetizer which we both just adored and the house ground meatloaf for our entrée which we shared. We each got a huge piece of meatloaf and some mashed potatoes and summer squash. There was a small plate splitting fee, which was absolutely appropriate. My wife and I agreed it's probably the best meatloaf we've ever had. Delicious!!! Abby was kind enough to gift us a piece of apple pie with the first taste of cinnamon ice cream either of us have ever had. It was made by a local creamery and was divine. We are still talking about that ice cream. The interior seems rustic, like an old Irish or English pub. So very cool. What a lovely experience and a total gem for anyone who lives in the area. So our waiter gave us a sample of a very good wine! Excellent. I ordered the french dip, which I've had several times. Tonight it was exceptionally delicious! Soft, yet crunch bread, cheese and amazingly tender beef, served with au jus and horse radish. Outstanding tonight! And fries also. But that french dip was THEE best ever. Gotta try it! Stevie was my server that night and she provided friendly top notch service. I ordered a spicy margarita for my cocktail. I was a little disappointed with the drink. It was very cucumber forward, had a nice heat, but lacked that signature lime flavor and tartness required of a good margarita. The brussel sprouts and cheese grits were a must try for me. The pork chop was the perfect entree to accompany these sides. The brussel sprouts were charred and crispy. The balsamic glaze paired nicely with the charred flavor. The pork chop is served in a very generous portion juicy and tender. The citrus sauce paired nicely with the pork. The cheese grits were creamy and delicious. All in all a delightful meal. The portions were generous enough for me to have hearty meal of leftovers the next day. The menu is fairly concise with burgers, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, beer/pork/chicken entrees, and salads. They have something for just about everyone. The appetizer menu offers loaded brussel sprouts with bacon balsamic and feta. This would have been too much to tackle by myself. The restaurant is a bit loud, but we didn't mind it, it was a busy Saturday night. Bar service was great, table service was lacking. For dinner, we had the filet mignon with potatoes and green beans as well as the creamy Cajun pasta. The filet was overcooked, but had really good flavor, the green beans with bacon were lackluster. The Cajun pasta was quite tasty, but it really lacked protein (only a few slices of a sausage and a few shrimp). We had the salted caramel bread pudding for dessert, it was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, the experience was okay, food was good enough. You'd hardly know that it exists. It's weirdly anonymous in both its physical presence and its overall branding. You could drive by it for years and not know that it's there. I work nearby, and I was invited to tag along with a group of people from my job. I hardly know any of them, and we don't really work together. They may not have been able to put together a group of eight without inviting me. Hardly anyone actually shows up for work. I was more than happy to take advantage of the opportunity, and I got a chance to try a little bit of everything. Several appetizers were ordered, and people were putting on a front like they don't eat constantly, which, let's be honest, they'd have to. That just meant more for me. The deep fried deviled eggs were a revelation and obviously not anything I'd so much as imagine, let alone order. They're literally deviled eggs that have been breaded and deep fried and then served on a bed of deviled-egg filling, with bacon and raw jalapeno slices as garnish. They're brilliant, in a Billy Tuttle sort of way. If anyone knew who that was, they could probably license his name and likeness and do more business than have been. It's that kind of restaurant. Everything is unnecessarily large, like at the Cheesecake Factory. An appetizer called Duck Wings is apparently just that. Who even knew that ducks had wings? They're like weirdly large chicken wings, but not as good, but... uh, still pretty good. The pretzel sticks and the mozzarella sticks were just whatever. The mozzarella sticks are roughly the size of, uh, we're not gonna go there. But you don't get as many of them. Depending on the size of your party, you might have to split them in two. Same goes with the pretzels. If they were to give you more and just charge more than they're already charging, someone would probably assault the waitress on GP. This place carries a Farmhouse Burger, like the aforementioned Cheesecake Factory, so I was obligated to get one, morally, and for the sake of citizen food journalism. It's like a regular burger, but with bacon and an egg on it. It's not any of that smash burger BS. A smash burger is cool because it has crisp edges, but here's a little secret: you can also cook a much larger burger until it's crisp. And if it's thick enough (no Diddy), it might still be a little bit rare on the inside. Bonus! This burger was honestly much better than it had any right to be, given the overall vibe of this establishment, which seemed kinda dirty and run down. It reminded me of the burgers I used get at Culpeppers back before most attractive girls these days were even born. If they offered one with a compound cream cheese on it (just nod along like you have any what I'm talking about), I might have cried in front of my coworkers, and then I would have had to quit. Overall, I was both surprised and delighted by this place. I can't tell you that I'd be back, even if someone else was paying, but my one visit wasn't half bad.

We had a reservation and were seated almost immediately. The interior has a dark steakhouse feel with a lot of wood materials and the edges of whiskey barrels on the wall as decoration. A great environment to unwind, have a drink, and fully enjoy the meal. The food itself was exactly as ordered; a medium-rare ribeye with creamy risotto and broccolini. Our server was very attentive and did a great job taking care of our group. The only hiccup during the visit was timing--we arrived shortly after a busload of guests, which slowed down the kitchen a bit and led to a longer wait for our food. That said, the service remained strong throughout. Both the salad and sandwich really hit the spot--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. This was my eighth visit over the past three years, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. Even with the slight delay this time, the consistency in food quality and service keeps me coming back.
