Here for the weekend from FL. I wanted some authentic Mexican food so my friends brought me here. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service is excellent. Then came the Wet Burrito. That was undoubtedly one of the best burritos I have ever had. The Asada was marinated perfectly and cooked to perfection. The green Chile sauce was so fresh and delicious it was drinkable. We were looking for a quick bite and ended up here. Ordered their 4 Assad taco plate with beans and rice to go and it was pretty good! Lots of meat and cilantro and onions. Pretty decent price. Only complaint was the rice and beans were a little salty. Food was hot and prepared quickly. I will definitely come back soon! read more

Terrible service, Not even that good. Placed an online order for 7 quesatacos at 7:55 and they were projected to be ready at 8:35. I show up at 8:30 and they say "we don't have your order ready it will be another 10 minutes", fair, however I didn't get my order until 9:07. No sorry, no compensation, not one shred of respect for waiting over an hour for 7 tacos. The tacos aren't even that good. Location; Cedar & Shepard. Recently opened. Tried the barbacoa, AL pastor reg. taco and Carne asada red taco. These tacos are small and extremely oily, some oil is good, they over do it. Meat is lacking in flavor and salsas are watered down. They do add a $1.00 surcharge if you use a card. After my visit I read their reviews from their other location and am hesitant to give them another try. Plus side, their service was pleasant and quick. read more

I've been to the Clovis location a few times and usually order thru their website (559streettacos.com). I ALWAYS get my order on time as promised. If you order during peak hours (i.e. lunch and after 5pm), I recommend ordering online then you could just find an open table if available. For the most part, my food has been pretty good. My go to order is usually the red quesadilla or red tacos with either asada, chicken or shrimp. If it matters to you, staff are usually maskless. Staff have been nice, sometimes not. I'm not there to chat it up and could care less for customer service at these kind of establishments. As long as my food tastes good and don't get the "runs", I'll keep on coming back. read more

The food here is pretty good, but the cleanliness and the operations are straight up terrible. We ordered the loaded carne asada fries, the California burrito, and a few tacos and overall, we can't complain about the food--sizeable portions and great flavor, everything you're looking for in Mexican food. A little on the pricey side, but it's still not too terrible. My issues with this place, however, come from the way it's run. Indoor dining apparently is still an option even when it shouldn't be and the staff here don't seem to be taking the mask ordinance very seriously at all. Half of their workers are wearing their masks on their chin and some aren't wearing them at all. In other words, I'm going to be monitoring my symptoms pretty closely after getting my dinner here yesterday. They are also unable to maintain very efficient operations of a restaurant. I was wondering why a number much after mine had been called before me and I asked the worker and she really just said, "Oh we're jumping around." I understand when orders are small you can get those out first, but the person behind me had just as much if not more food than me. Came on a Saturday night and ordered the 4 Tacos Combo. Came with rice and beans along with the tacos. First off, the tacos were small and my initial thought was that the price didn't seem justified as it was the size of my palm only. However, as we dived into eating the tacos, the Al Pastor was extremely dry, the texture was relatively close to chewing beef jerky. The Tripa taco was ok, it was extra extra crispy, but I can't complain because that's what I asked for. The rice was also dry with no flavor. The restaurant needed a good sweep and the sauces were all empty. Overall all, a solid 2 for me. Quite upsetting since I've had their tacos before and it was delicious, however, there seems to be a lack of consistency in the flavor and cleaning department. read more

Food was really good but the atmosphere was terrible. There was way too many employees on the clock. There was at least 5 people doing nothing but standing and gossiping and cussing and laughing so loud that we couldn't even sit and enjoy our meal. By husband and I were trying to talk during our meal and there was 4-5 young lady employees that stood at the register talking inappropriately very very loud and bursting into laughter, so ultimately I couldn't even have a conversation with my husband. I had the wet Burrito, chicken with the green sauce, so tasty, so flavorful. My wife had a Quesataco, with chicken, oh, did I make a hit with her. We had a diet soda and a water. The waiter was awesomely, friendly, making us feel very welcome, It was a very hot day outside, 108 degrees, it was cool with air condition and fans going inside. Felt so nice and comfortable. The chips and sauces are very ,very good. We enjoyed them with our meal and brought part of it home. Service was excellent !!!! The ambiance was nice very spotless clean... Ut its a bit over priced & the portions are quite small... also I'm really Mexican & they charge addition 2 dollars for the consome for the tacos ... that makes it like 4 bucks plus for a taco with consome... my problem is that console is like the left over juice of the birria... its equivalent to saying ima charge 2 bucks for ketchup & thats just greedy right there. My friend got a platter & a drink platter had 5 tacos the total was 18 dollars plus ... ill go visit again... & keep in mind this is not harsh criticism this so they can improve. I'm am glad there are places that are still opened during COVID! However, if your going to hire employees, please be sure they want to be there. Part of going out to eat right now is the customer service. Your employee's specially the girls in the front giving our food to us, should be a little more friendly and not so rude. One employee handed our food to us so ruff that all my food was mixed up together. This is not the first time I went there and the employees where extremely rude. I enjoy the food, it is so good! Three stars for the food and minus 2 for the service and overall cleanliness of the establishment. I got two quesabirria tacos and consommé and my husband got a Tijuana style taco and red taco. We weren't disappointed with the food. The food was great actually. I wish the service and ambiance matched the quality of their food. The food sells itself but if you want to succeed beyond a taco truck you need to provide more than only good food. The service was bad. If you want an alcoholic drink you have to order outside. There was no one servicing the bar for a long time. I was going to buy their $13 559michelada but was bitter about waiting and just ended up getting their regular $9 miche. The waitress at the bar was very annoyed making the miche and was overall giving me a bad attitude so I decided to tip her in cash bc she was clearly having a bad day. The miche was good. Overall, they should spend some time wiping the tables and throwing out the overflowing trash bins. Definitely not covid compliant they had ppl eating in the restaurant. read more

New owners have really turned this place around. Service is now incredibly friendly, the restaurant is now very clean, and the food (which has always been good) remains very solid. Glad the original owners are no longer in the picture. They had a great idea but did not know what they were doing. Not so anymore.
