I tried this place for the first time based on a recommendation, and I was genuinely excited to try something new. The restaurant had clearly been remodeled and looked amazing inside--the bar, the patio, and the entire vibe were on point. However, the layout was confusing. You enter through the patio, and to get to the bathrooms, you have to walk behind the counter and almost into the back kitchen, which felt odd. When we walked in, there was no greeting or guidance, which made the experience confusing, especially since it was our first visit. We weren't sure if we should wait to be seated or order at the counter, so we ended up just figuring it out ourselves. It turns out you order at the counter, get a number, and then find a seat, but it would've been nice to know that up front. When the food came out, it was disappointingly cold. I'm not one to usually complain about temperature, but this was just unappetizing. I finished my meal, but it really didn't live up to expectations, and I didn't enjoy it. Overall, while the space looked great, the lack of organization and the food left me underwhelmed. I don't think I'd return. read more

I had passed by many times and wanted to see if the food was good , from the moment I walked in I noticed the place was unorganized and very messy by the grill, not looking very clean at all and unorganized, but I didn't want to be rude and turn around and walk out by the looks of the place so I was in a pinch and I just ordered. I ordered two Carne Asada tacos and a Carne Asada the burrito to go. I was told that the salsa bar was outside. I went outside and noticed that it was out there and not covered and unattended with a side gate open where either insects or any type of outdoor animal could have access to it, I was handed my order outside, and I noticed after taking one bite that the corn tortillas were raw and hard at the same time if that makes sense and had a weird taste to them , the meat was way too salty like they dumped a bunch of seasoning all over the meat. The salsa was actually not too bad. I went back to my hotel to try the burrito and the tortilla was not fully cooked. The rice in the burrito was kind of mushy and it was supposed to be Carne Asada, but almost tasted like Carnitas so I'm not sure what was actually in the burrito. It was not very good. I would honesty probably never!go back to this place again definitely not worth $24 for a burrito and a couple salty tacos.worst 4$ taco Iv ever had . Danny the bartender is awesome I asked for a fire shot which is normally for 4 ppl but he hooked me up and still made it for me and I also had the happy hour margarita which is also something to talk he has flavors to choose from and trust they have a nice kick to them. This was the first time back in a long time. I am really impressed with the updates the restaurant has made they added a really cool trendy bar along with the ambiance of a hot night in Jalisco Mexico what's great about this place is the tacos are excellent! I love the fact that you can choose to eat inside or outside. With the weather being over 100° in Fresno my friend celebrated her birthday inside amongst many shots of tequila. They had a really excellent list of margaritas to pick from I chose the Mia Bonita which is a pomegranate drink. It was nice and refreshing. They do offer table service if you are dining in. The service was okay but you need to check your ticket as I was overcharged for menu items. Once I brought it up they quickly fixed the air. This was my fist time ordering Malibu and cranberry juice. Nothing fancy simple drink. This is my go to drink, and I have NEVER paid this much for 1 drink. I been to westwoods, pismos, yard house, mad duck, wassabi, papis, elbow room, spicy Js the patio and these are just naming a few and I have never been charged $13 for a Malibu and cran. This is ridiculous. NEVER AGAIN. not even their Paloma are $13 And to top it off,I had to tell the female bartender that there was a hair stuck to the Malibu bottle. We thought we'd try it again since it had been awhile... we loved sitting out on the patio and it looked like they may be working on adding misters for the Clovis summer heat. The tacos and the salsas were awesome! However, the margaritas, not so much. We decided to try the house margarita because we feel like if you can't make a basic one, why try the others. The ingredients in the drinks just weren't balanced well, very sweet and the bartender took a long time to make just two of them. Came on a beautiful sunny Saturday and the day definitely did not match the experience. They were so understaffed, by the time the employee taking orders had time to clean, ring people up, and bring food out- it was cold. The set up was also super weird. There were guests walking behind the counter where you order, getting in the way of the girl who was trying to take orders and bag food. Then, if you try to order one of the drinks from the bar you cannot order in the food line. You have to get in another bar for the drinks. We waited a long time for both the food and drinks. If you don't believe me when I tell you that both the food and staff are horrible just go there and watch how they make your food. Door Dash Review: we really enjoyed our food from here! My husband had A carne asada burrito and I enjoyed three tacos ( 2 carne asada and 1 chorizo). We split asada fries, which lasted us 2 days and surprisingly were still good enough to finish the next day. The asada tasted and was cut exactly like they cooked strips of carne asada then cut it up. I think it's been the most flavorful carne asada I've had on tacos. The tortillas were okay (I will forever compare taco places tortillas to the food truck that hand makes them lol). The fries had so many delicious flavors! They came with fries, your choice of meat, beans, cheese, tomatoes, onions, cilantro and 2 sauces. The fries could have been crisper, but were not mushy at all- they held up well considering!! Everything was packed nicely, my only clarification I would request from 559 is when ordering on Door Dash there isn't really an description of what is on certain items. It has you select the choice of meat, and toppings-so I selected those for my husband's burrito, but he said it seemed like there was too many onions, and it made me wonder if the toppings I selected were extra/in addition to what already came on the burrito. You can't miss it with the large neon sign. My 1st impression is that they weren't busy. As I drive further, the back lot is completely full. I walk up and hear music playing. People laughing and enjoying themselves. It's very brightly light. I ordered 2 Quesataco's with Birria meat. Comsome sauce. My only complaint is that the Quesatacos were really greasy taking away from the crispness. The flavor was bland. It was missing something. I ate my dinner. Went to pick up red tacos with al pastor. Entered a request for green salsa on their ordering site. And this is what I got -- bland meat that's tough and decidedly not red. There is no red on these tortillas at all. The green salsa might help (a little) with the lack of flavor but they didn't give it to me ‍ Of the five or six times that we've tried the brick and mortar location they've all been underwhelming experiences.
