I think this is on everyone's speakeasy list!…read more Make sure you make a reservation It is very packed. They offer bar seating and booth / table Follow the wall from Randy's donuts and Look for a wall of Japanese sake/beer barrels and head towards the restaurant - the rolling boil. There will be a check in host and stand there and wait (it will be located up against the wall with a big secret door right next to the hostess station) It's very New York inside. When I first came in Spring with the amazing, Karen, the menu and everything was great Now, I took my friend who was in town from Nashville and it was a brand new theme. It's the great Gatsby. Even our waitress, Jasmine was dressed for the occasion. I would say this place is known for Absinthe. They have cocktails featuring it or you can get one of the huge apparatus (huge and glowing green) which, if you are into it? I highly recommend. Just one of the huge apparatus makes one regular drink. Or, what Karen and I did, was split it and make it into a shot for the both of us. The waitress comes out and shows you how it works and goes over everything. Karen, who I came with, was a pro and knew her way around it. She showed me the ropes lol. Honestly, if you are here? When in Rome. Go all out and try it, since it's where they shine here. They took off a few menu items and added some themed drinks. ( a couple new champagne themed drinks) They have big entree items but I suggest small bites and sharing and mostly coming for the drinks. There's no bathroom inside, so you do have to leave the bar and go to the closest one (over behind Randy's donuts) and then enter the speakeasy again Both times coming here I've never had an issue. It's a small, packed place. And yet they still have the cocktails flowing and the food coming out in a good time. So the food and drinks are good Atmosphere is lovely. Service is good. Especially for it usually being very busy in here This place is located inside the Anaheim packing district. So I suggest hitting up a couple other spots before or afterwards for some more food or drinks P.S. it is very dark In here. They never cared if we used our light to look at the menu. However, they do not want flash photography They also do not strictly enforce a dress code (my friend from Nashville asked) however, they suggest dressing business casual and not too underdressed

Date night for mom and dad away from the kids type of night. Very mellow and chill. Small but cozy…read more I loved the Gatsby decor. We chose to be seated at the bar. Service was decent. I really liked the clarified strawberry drink, similar to strawberry and cream. I ordered a drink after that unfortunately forgot the name (photo attached with a tall glass) but there was no special cocktail craft taste to it. Just hard liquor taste and undrinkable :( the bartender kindly offered another drink. Unfortunately none of the food was the least bit good. Steak and fries was ordered medium rare and cooked to medium well with what seemed like no seasoning was on there at all. Crab cake was just ok and the slaw beneath it was drenched in a vinaigrette that was just sour and unpleasant. And the Mac and cheese, as we were very hopeful and looking forward to, was probably the blandest Mac and cheese we ever had. We asked the lady bartender for salt and she handed us, no exaggeration (and you guys will probably think I am) 10 grains of salt in it and said "looks like there's a lil something you could still get out of there" My jaw dropped. But yeah. The shredded meat on top of the Mac and cheese was cooked beyond the point of edible. That one was unfortunately sent back bc we just couldn't eat it. We were bummed over all mostly about the food.

The Foundation Room is a VIP lounge at the House of Blues Anaheim. A friend of mine is a member,…read moreand I've had the pleasure of visiting several times in recent months. It has its own "fast lane" entrance where there is rarely a wait to gain entry. You walk through the private entrance and take an elevator upstairs. To reach the lounge entrance, you walk across a Persian rug covered walkway overlooking the restaurant below. You also pass by private liquor storage for members. The entrance area is decorated beautifully. It is dimly lit with red backlit Buddha statues and a beautiful chandelier overhead. Once you check-in and get your show tickets, you are offered complimentary champagne and guided into the main lounge area. It is also dimly lit, and there is definitely a wow factor when you walk in. The orange and pink ceiling really sets a vibe. There are various couches, lounge chairs, and tables around the room. The bar looks elegant and has nice looking lit columns. There are also large semi-private booths along the wall. The restrooms are upscale and there is usually an attendant. We were going to eat and have a drink before the show, so we had a booth reserved. The booths are U-shaped and are very large. They can easily accommodate ten or more people comfortably. I had the unami double burger ($22), and it was delicious and filling. The Mediterranean salad with salmon ($24) and chili crisp wings ($18) were also enjoyed at the table. We all also enjoyed an old fashioned. Our server was very friendly and took excellent care of us. The lounge also has a small stage. Half way through our meal, a band setup and started playing. The band was great and their music style fit the room well. A perk of membership is box/suite seating upstairs with a great view of most shows. The latest show I attended was for a number of tribute bands and upstairs seating was closed. Members still get VIP seating at the back of the floor with elevated seating that overlooks the general admission crowd. Both VIP areas include food and cocktail service. This experience blows away standing on the floor in a packed general admission crowd for hours. I look forward to returning again soon.

The young woman who answered hesitated and asked if I had a reservation. I told her I didn't and that I was just planning to stop by the bar area with one other person. She then told me that reservations were completely full and that I would more than likely not find anywhere to sit. Despite that, I decided to stop by anyway, and there was actually plenty of seating available. This type of response is not only inaccurate but can also discourage potential guests from visiting. If I had taken her advice at face value, I never would have come in. I believe this is harmful to business, and I hope the staff receives additional training so future callers are given more welcoming and accurate information.

RISE is located on the rooftop of the Westin Anaheim, right across from Disneyland. They have live music Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, which makes the atmosphere even better. I forgot our bartender's name, but he was very attentive. I had a friend meet me, and as soon as she sat down, he already had a menu ready for her. I definitely appreciated that kind of service. Now let's talk happy hour--YES! The crispy fries were so good, the pizza was amazing, and the drinks were absolutely on point. They also offer valet parking. I believe the first hour is free, but it can get a little pricey if you stay for a couple of hours like we did. And one of the best little bonuses: if you're there at the right time, you can watch the Disneyland fireworks from the rooftop! Such a nice touch to an already great night. Definitely a spot I'd recommend for date night, drinks with the girls, or happy hour with a view.

Heres where it went downhill. We waited 15 minutes without a table touch, greet, or water. We literally were about to leave until the server Evan finally arrived. He explained he was doing bottle service and did not see our table. Timing is def off. We got food and drinks literally at the same time even if we ordered drinks first. Truffle fries were good and tasty. The San Mariana Pizza was great! Burst of flavor! The cuban bites is hands down one of the worst dishes I tasted in my life. It was just mojo dressing everywhere. Views are good, but everyone runs to the front and blocks the view. Love the Westin hotel but this place is an aesthetic hype. Service from Evan underwhelming.

I heard this place is hard to get a reservation but one of my girlfriends was able to snag one the week prior! The inside of the restaurant is a smaller establishment so I can see why reservations would be difficult. They have a plethora of drinks! Mostly specializing in specialty rum cocktails. Ordered the ritual of the Queen which was a specialty drink with tequila and coconut rum. Very delicious! For food our table shared the Loco Moco and chicken katsu. Both delicious! There is also another smaller bar area behind closed doors that give speak easy vibes. I'm not sure how or if this place accommodates big groups as the tables are good for maybe 4-6 people. Park in an open area and under a light so there can be no excuses for them checking out your car and door handles. I'm not paranoid, RING and crime reports for the area is not good. With that said, this place is a gem in a mine field. The folks running the place bartenders etc are the cats meow and the participating customers welcome one and all!
