The Foundation Room is a VIP lounge at the House of Blues Anaheim. A friend of mine is a member, and I've had the pleasure of visiting several times in recent months. It has its own "fast lane" entrance where there is rarely a wait to gain entry. You walk through the private entrance and take an elevator upstairs. To reach the lounge entrance, you walk across a Persian rug covered walkway overlooking the restaurant below. You also pass by private liquor storage for members. The entrance area is decorated beautifully. It is dimly lit with red backlit Buddha statues and a beautiful chandelier overhead. Once you check-in and get your show tickets, you are offered complimentary champagne and guided into the main lounge area. It is also dimly lit, and there is definitely a wow factor when you walk in. The orange and pink ceiling really sets a vibe. There are various couches, lounge chairs, and tables around the room. The bar looks elegant and has nice looking lit columns. There are also large semi-private booths along the wall. The restrooms are upscale and there is usually an attendant. We were going to eat and have a drink before the show, so we had a booth reserved. The booths are U-shaped and are very large. They can easily accommodate ten or more people comfortably. I had the unami double burger ($22), and it was delicious and filling. The Mediterranean salad with salmon ($24) and chili crisp wings ($18) were also enjoyed at the table. We all also enjoyed an old fashioned. Our server was very friendly and took excellent care of us. The lounge also has a small stage. Half way through our meal, a band setup and started playing. The band was great and their music style fit the room well. A perk of membership is box/suite seating upstairs with a great view of most shows. The latest show I attended was for a number of tribute bands and upstairs seating was closed. Members still get VIP seating at the back of the floor with elevated seating that overlooks the general admission crowd. Both VIP areas include food and cocktail service. This experience blows away standing on the floor in a packed general admission crowd for hours. I look forward to returning again soon. read more

Jen our server is incredible, she makes the experience in the foundation room. We are 2nd year members and will probably renew because of the great service. They updated their menu.. which was not our favorite. Would rather eat in the main dining room vs the new menu but thankfully they brought back cult favorites to the menu. Like the tempura cauliflower and frittes. It's a great place to catch local live music. But an even better place to chill before a concert. read more

We always love coming to the Foundation Room prior to a special show at the House of Blues. Unfortunately, we forgot to make a reservation and all tables were taken. Luckily, we found a spot at the bar and received top service by Katessa. She was super busy mixing drinks for the entire bar but was always on top and looked out really well for us. Food is really special, particularly for a bar, be it an upscale bar. I particularly like that the chef is always taking risks and pushing new ideas. This time, we were super impressed by the duck vindaloo tacos, but we also really enjoyed the yellowtail crudo, the short rib ropes, and the cheesecake miso de leche. Our only slight disappointment was that the black truffle frites were soggy and oily, but the poached egg rescued it somewhat. Can't wait for the next visit. read more

I'm a member of the Foundation Room. This is my first year and I'm amazed by how many events there are! This was a wine tasting/Q&A with John Legend (exclusive to members for an additional $30/pp). I've also been to several concerts where I got to sit in the VIP section with a dedicated server coming to you. The Foundation Room has a zen-like vibe (you smell incense as soon as you get to the hostess stand), delicious food & cocktails, plus you get free parking everyday in your own designated area. Btw, the hostess will always hand you a glass of champagne as soon as she sees you. Restrooms are nicer than in the concert venue too. The only cons are: it gets slammed in here on concert nights (packed in like sardines) and you have to be quick to request tickets and reservations, they go fast. So if you're not a planner like me, you'll probably be outta luck. Also, food is expensive. You're paying for the exclusivity. read more

**August 2025: Weeknight Evening Visit** My friend extended an invitation to meetup at the Foundation Room Anaheim and I was excited to check it out. I checked in through a separate door and took the elevator up to the private room. This room is located inside the House of Blues and has a fun lounge area to enjoy music, drinks/food and good company. There are a number of couches as well as booths to relax. The bathroom is very clean and luxurious. Definitely an exclusive place and if you get a chance to check it out, definitely do it! read more

Paid extra to add this onto Concert ticket thinking I would have a place to sit and eat and relax. All the tables were reserved so no place to sit and only 2 standing high top tables. We had to go down to restaurant so we could eat. Then couldn't stay up there had to be escorted down to GA. You can only sit up there if member or pay even more for VIP seating. We were well taken care of by all the staff in Anaheim, but I'd like to call some people out. I wish I could say that the the service lived up to expectations. IT DID NOT! It far exceeded them. Truly amazing. The food was VERY GOOD. "Impressed" begins to cover it... but it was simply delicious... you'll just have to get in there and taste/see for yourself. It's damn good. Our server Jasmine was so knowledgeable and accommodating it elevated our experience to that next level. Interesting atmosphere with live music. Curly haired white bartender should really consider not calling peoples husband "babe." Literally twice in one transaction. You probably think it's cute but it's really not, and it's not professional. There goes your tip. To be honest, the vibe and music are good, and the food is fine. However, the staff leaves much to be desired, especially one waitress. Since they don't wear name tags, I don't know her name, but I did take a photo of her, which I'll keep private to avoid public embarrassment. She was extremely rude, and her outfit made me feel like I was in a strip club. Her long eyelashes looked like they might fall into our food at any moment. There is just something about the House of Blues that is amazing, no matter which one your at you feel like you are part of history (where legends are made). Such an iconic place and a great overall vibe. When you roll up to the great big beautiful silver door at the Foundation Room, you feel like an instant rock star. Members have their own private entrance and elevator which takes to a beautiful lounge separate from the main House of Blues. We were invited to an event being held in the Foundation Room. We were able to reserve a table for the event. Ryan was very helpful and friendly, he even took the time to find me to introduce himself which we thought was pretty awesome. We had a great booth close to the band. The entire staff in the Foundation Room we're fabulous. It was pretty crowded yet they never missed a beat. The bands sounded amazing, the room was lush and comfortable and the staff was amazing from the point we checked in to when we headed out for the night. The food and drinks are really good as well and surprisingly decently priced. Being a Foundation Room member comes with various perks based on your membership level. Sumptuous way to spend the idle time you have waiting for the concert to start downstairs at the House of Blues. We paid to have our tickets upgraded and as part of the package we were made "Member for a Day" at the Foundation Room. The room is more like a large hall, decadent and dark. I loved it; it reminded me a scene from "Indiana Jones"! You have to take the elevator up to the Foundation Room and the drinks here are quite strong which is a good thing. The booths, which close off by velvet curtains, are spacious and great for large parties. When the concert is about to start, the walls part open and you are escorted to your seat in the venue. If you have the opportunity, upgrade your tickets for your HOB concert and pass the time at the Foundation Room. We were here to catch a band - Lousy Little Gods - after the Hardy concert. This venue is simply stunning! The drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is exotic and lush. The bartender, Eddie, was very friendly and he kept the drinks coming! I ordered a Mule and my husband ordered Gin & Tonic. My drink went down very smoothly and the copper cup really did keep it cold for a long time. The G&T smelled like a garden - thanks to Eddie's additions of cloves and sage. Yum! The band, as always, was great, but we only got to hear the warm-up because the bar was closed early due to fighting at the Hardy concert. Still - we would definitely come here again. read more

I'm not a review writer. And I only do it when I have an amazing experience or one that warrants never returning to a venue again whatsoever. The 1-star here nods to which direction I'm heading for my first time at the Foundation Room in Anaheim. Went to see Alan Stone on January 29, 2022. Got the "VIP" package. Quite possibly the most confused I've ever been at a venue. No clear direction on which line to stand in to get inside. Took about 15 mins to clarify how to get in. Once the VIP Hostess was radioed about 3x she finally came down to tell us that we need to check in at the table. What table? Off to the side there was a woman sitting there checking folks in when a gent told us to stand in the "VIP Line" which was the same as everyone else. Led through a maze of elevators and directions to "The Foundation Room" all to be told, "Ya can't sit here, these seats are reserved." So, there's reserved seating within the VIP package? After noticing that 75% of the establishment was empty we said, "F*ck it." And sat in the "reserved seats." No one to take your order. Had to go to the bar place an order for food and drinks. All to be told, "You can't take food over to the concert. You have to eat it here." When I inquired about 10% off the bill the bartender says, "Oh, you need to show your card?" What card? "The card these gave you that gives 10% off." So you mean to tell me you pay an additional $60/person for VIP and you have to acquire a card to get 10% off the Foundation Room's bill-a card that was never given to me? Ultimately we discovered that "VIP package" really means you pay for a seat in the concert hall. This was a great hustle w/ awful service. It's VIP for people that don't know any better. Best experience ever, from beginning to end. The VIP service here best I've ever seen, from Adrienne and Bryanna who are in charge of membership to Steve who is the Director of the foundation room to the bartenders Jimmy and the server, Sheila. My wife and I came to a concert and and they treat everybody as if they were VIP, we are members to a lot of different places, and this is by far the best, if you're not a member of the foundation room at the House of blues definitely recommend it. And if you don't wanna be a member, I definitely recommend the restaurant the bar and the venue for all your events, I could keep going on and on on how great they are but you have to come into experience at yourself to really get the full effect. If I would've had Great experience by the staff, I would given this lounge/bar a better rating . It doesn't matter how nice the place is, but the service is the most important part of the experience. We were VIP guests by one of the members from Wells Fargo Bank. We were a party of 4 and a little lost and confused as the member made a table reservation for us. I went to check with the hostess in the front to confirm if we had an assigned seating or table as I was told by the WFB member we would. Her name is Bridgette, tall blonde and black lipstick, she gave me the most rude and despicable attitude anyone can give a guest. I asked her if she can please check the reservation list and she refused to do so since Wells Fargo is not a member, she rudely said "who is Wells Fargo? They are not a person" she literally pointed at me to go to the bar or seat somewhere. Didn't ask me for a member name and still refused to check her list. We were arguing back and forth, me being frustrated asking for help but instead she was Rude AF and refused to help me! Meanwhile Steve, don't know his position found us by the bar and offered to help us. There was a big confusion and mess with our tkts but he was the most kind and respectful person to help us out. After a while my friend and I went to the restroom and Bridgette the hostess was there walking out and she said sorry for earlier. Like all Live Nation venues, admittance will be denied unless you can show satisfactory proof of being "fully jabbed" or proof of a negative test. I won't submit to this for anyone or any place. When I called to cancel my Foundation Room membership in light of the requirements that did not exist when I purchased my Foundation Room Membership and did not exist when I renewed it, I was told they couldn't possibly do that, so I'm stuck paying for something I can't use. Enjoy my money; it's the last penny you will ever see from me. My last show at your building was Machine Head in February 2020. There won't be another. read more

Always have to have dinner and drinks here before a show. Membership is the best way to go to enjoy the valet parking, as well as front of the line privileges. As soon as you check in you're offered a glass of bubbly and you are escorted to your table. Once seat were were greeted with a smile and great appetizer and drink suggestions. Service was fast and efficient. She had the salmon I had the argentinean steak. Both were perfectly prepared. My husband and I had heard about The Foundation Room as a good place to dance so we inquired about the cost of a table. When the Director, Steven Naughton heard we were celebrating my birthday, he waived the reservation fee. We arrived this evening at about 9:00 pm and Steven, who came down to welcome us, ushered us in. The venue has low lighting and a theme from India with arched doorways, statues of Hindu gods and paintings of temples. The decor is pretty and we were shown to a couch reserved for us with a table. The waitress, Jen was lovely. The menu looked good with a nice variety to suit most palettes. The bartender was really nice, and when we asked for special requests, Ben the DJ came up with music that was perfect for us to dance to. The dance floor is small but you can dance anywhere. Everyone was customer service oriented and we really enjoyed our experience. Jen covered our two ice teas as a birthday treat and when we left, Nathan, the young gentleman at the entry, covered our parking, again as a birthday gesture. We both felt that the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience! We recommend The Foundation Room as a really nice place to spend an evening. I was lucky enough for my friend to invite me to the Foundation Room. Everything about FR screams exclusive. Parked the car at valet. Went through a separate entrance. Into an elevator to second floor of HOB and then finally to the Foundation Room. Right as you walk in, they start passing out glasses of champagne to your whole party! We sat in a VIP booth where we already pre-ordered some food before we even stepped onto the property. The Chicken Tikka skewers had a bold flavor. I'm still not sure if I liked that much flavor, but they were tender. I really enjoyed the Korean Fried chicken bao buns because those buns were incredibly fluffy and warm. The Seasonal Berries dessert was excellent. Just pour the sauce on and have at it. The pricing for the food was fair and the service was excellent. There was this really cool guy who passed out free tickets to a concert at HOB. The music is normally more electronica, but there was a band that night that was playing good tunes. Went out to eat at Anaheim White House and then carried it on to the Parkestry Rooftop before ending the night at the Foundation Room. I have left messages via voicemail and email and have not heard back. Every time I call no one ever answers and the company line also does not help. What is the Foundation Room you ask? Well it's a plush/swanky room upstairs of the HOB that you can only enter as a Foundation room member, a guest of one or getting VIP tickets to a show. This room has a different cool vibe from the rest of the HOB. They have a different seasonal & speakeasy menu to order from, a full bar and as with all rooms at the HOB rooms for live bands to play. I became a foundation room member last December as an advanced bday gift to myself. From a FR Member's point of view: it's excellent. Starting with complientary valet parking From being greeted by the doorman, to being handed a glass of champage by the host and having a booth or couch reservation waiting for us on nearly every visit...we always look forward to a relaxing, fun night out. The servers are attentive. The mood is chill. Entertainment varies each night. We've been invited to a costume masquarde, yacht party, 80s night, and a few silent parties in the past year. There is direct access to the Music Hall, so you can go from drinks in FR to the 2nd floor balcony for a show. *Must have ticket in hand, of course. No need to go back outside to wait with everyone else in line. There is a FR menu. Tapas style bites, signature coctails and decent beer & wine selection. There is also a Member's Only seasonal menu.
