The only change I noticed was a slightly smaller menu - entrees appear to be dropped but honestly, the new menu has a great variety and I missed ithing. We stopped in for a couple of beers and dinner - although we were leaning toward sandwiches.... Landed on sharing a pizza. Despite having a little (or a lot) of FOMO as food was delivered to other tables (it all looked so darn good) - we were very happy with our perfect pizza. My favorite dining companion coined the perfect award: 'this is the best pizza at a non-pizza place' Very true! The selection of draft beer is quite good. The service is excellent - really efficient, skilled, and friendly. This is a solid choice for lunch, dinner, or a snack. Salads, starters, sandwiches, burgers, chicken wings, or pizza - the food is really good. My only tip is if you order a soft drink, it is delivered in the plastic bottle. Tried this place out for the first time with family. For appetizers we ordered pretzels with queso cheese, and Gouda Mac & Cheese balls. We had a very nice and helpful waitress, which we greatly appreciated. We were informed that they're known for their great burgers and their pizza. I was torn between getting the pizza or a turkey burger and fries. I opted for the turkey burger and fries. While the turkey burger was very juicy and tasty, the fries were a little overcooked for my taste. You are encouraged to come in and seat yourself anywhere in the dining room. The chairs were a little hard and had no padding so it felt like you were sitting on a piece of wood. The pretzels were hot, fresh, and tasted great, while the mac & cheese bites were quite bland for our liking. It was definitely missing something, perhaps some type of seasoning or a different cheese would have made them taste better. The atmosphere was quite busy with lots of customers, and the dining area was a little chilly, almost as if the heat was turned down too low. We appreciated the manager or owner, coming over to ask if everything was okay with our meals. The mini tacos were really good. The atmosphere was great. Location was a nice quiet bar off of interstate 571 really enjoyed the food in the atmosphere. It used chain-link fences as decoration dish used to be an old biker bar. They have windows where you're able to watch the people cook your food which I thought was really nice. Good atmosphere good food drink prices are fair. Definitely a good place to bring a date for a nice evening. read more

Heard it thru the grapevine ("Big Chill" reference for those over 50) that 571 had new ownership, (the same people that own Speakeasy Ramen in Springfield ) thought we would stop in for a visit to check in. Same great service same great food! Sat at the bar and Jess was our server she and the whole team were very friendly and did great job. Definitely would recommend the meatballs and marinara sauce appetizer as well as 571 Haystack burger. My wife tried seafood special which was good as well. Draft beer and canned beer selection, as good as ever! Wine and seltzer choices as well. Safe to say 571 Grill is in good hands. read more

Only been a couple times, only down side is parking. The lot is cramped. But the food is fire. Everything made scratch to order. The pizza reminded me of cassanos that didn't suck, and none of the salt they user on the crust that makes you choke on the sodium. The crust was ultra thin and crunchy, and reheated great the next day in a skillet. Fish and chips were good. The hen house burger was a delicious juicy monster. I loved the Texas tenderloin as well. Can't wait to go back and try more! They have over 100 craft beers, 18 on tap, but pop in bottles? They'd make more money on fountain. Just sayin'. read more

If you've never eaten at a roadside grill, this would be a great place to start. We decided to stop in for dinner and see for ourselves how plentiful and amazing 571's food and beers were, and we were not disappointed Upon arriving, parking was a little tight, but that's expected from a roadside establishment. However, once inside, none of that mattered as we were quickly greeted and seated within 15 minutes. While we waited, we enjoyed various craft and domestic beers from their selection After being seated, our amazing server, Maddie, explained all the options and specials available. Looking around the dining room and seeing the food coming out of the kitchen, we made our selections I opted for the massive and delicious walleye, which was nice and flaky with saltine crackers fried to a crisp, served with coleslaw and natural cut fries. My wife chose the best Reuben sandwich she claims to have ever had, perfectly fried on the grill so everything melted together Our cousins ordered the Italian sandwich that had the perfect balance of flavor and spice. Lastly, the massive Henhouse burger was the talk of the table, piled high with all sorts of toppings. Our cousin devoured it with ease. There was a pizza to go which lost a few slices before heading out that had rich flavors of toppings, but the crisp thin crust was the winner there Overall, great service, food, and atmosphere! Ambience fits a good bar and grill. Great beer selection if you like IPA's, so I didn't order off tap. The Server was pleasant and attentive. This place is known for really crazy good burgers. But I am a cheese steak guy so I went there with fries. The fries were great and the cheese steak was loaded with streak, onions, cheese but not many peppers. The bad. It was a greasy mess that lacked seasoning. I mean really greasy. It soaked through the bun, the ingredients fell out and I needed 5 napkins to eat half the sandwich. I was out after that. Next time I go will be when I'm in the mood for a burger. read more

This is my 3rd review of this place, and I wanted to update it because of the new owners. We discovered 571 Grill in 2019 & have eaten here so many times and introduced so many of our friends to it as well because it's just so consistently good. It's also one of the few places that keeps an ever changing list of weird beers on tap, and I've found a few that I actually love. So we were saddened to hear that the owners were calling it quits (although glad for them to be able to retire and hopefully enjoy life). It was intriguing to find that the owner of the renowned Speakeasy Ramen (Springfield) has taken over 571 Grill. They certainly know food, and how to run a great restaurant. But still there was trepidation because they could easily try to make this something completely different and we'd lose our go-to burger and pizza joint. Thankfully they have not changed a thing, other than adding some new special items occasionally. All of our favorites (the 571 burger, the taco pizza, wings and pub chips) are the same amazing quality. There are still a blue billion - or maybe a few less - beers on tap. So if you've been hesitant to return to a favorite pub because you're not sure if it will still live up to your expectations, I'm happy to report that it sure has for us, and it probably will for you too. And if you haven't yet made it to 571 Grill, man you're missing out on some great traditional American food! read more

Been here multiple times, always busy and for good reason. We have had multiple things off the menu, you can't go wrong with one of their burgers, that beef is so good. Also had the walleye and it's great and that tartar sauce is next level stuff not just " some condiment ". We will be back again, maybe pizza next time. Very cool atmosphere with an eclectic variety of micro beers. Smoked gouda balls were a hit and the smoked wings were a nice alternative to traditional. We would recommend the prime rib sandwich and it was a special and it was spot on! Our server Rob was fantastic, and we could tell that he had worked at high-end joints before, and his customer interaction showed that. Ask for him the next time you go in, and this is a great place for groups of 2-4, if there's any more than that, there might be a little bit of a wait. read more

If you are ever near New Carlisle, stop into this unassuming bar. From the outside, it is the pits. Once you walk through the door, you will see plenty of tables full of happy people. They can accommodate you drink wise with bottles and glasses of beer and soft drinks. If you want wine, you need to buy a bottle. Food is outstanding and they are very friendly. I am remiss in my praises for 571. Every meal, the service, and even the price has been fantastic. However, today I had the seafood special. It was 3 deep fried shrimp, 2 "beer battered" pieces of cod w French fries and Cole slaw for $22. I believe the shrimp and cod came from the frozen food aisle at Kroger. In particular, the cod was still frozen and inedible and the shoe string fries were limp and grease soaked. Come on 571. You are much better than this. Perhaps that's what I get for ordering the special instead of sticking to the menu that has been great every time. I'm sorry to scold but damn! read more

Not only was service slow and their attitude sucks the food was not that good and I've been there many times before. You look at these fries they were burnt they were cold and the taco pizza look like it was just thrown together overcooked very little meat on it and the onion straws were served cold. They said the reason the potatoes were Brown's because of all the sugar in them well first of all if potatoes are stored too long below 140 degrees it will make them sugar more and burn so therefore you should not use them. And then they didn't even offer to take anything off the bill either they were just kind of like oh well. And some of the chicken wings even looked burnt. read more

Went for the first time, had the glazed donut burger and the Mac Daddy burger. Best burgers I've tasted in a long long time. The fries were crispy and salty, tasted perfect. They make their own salad dressings, I tried the French and it was hands down best I've ever had. The Mac n cheese patty on the burger wasn't as heavy as it sounds, highly highly recommend. The only cons are a small drive way and soda is sold by the bottle. I don't drink but they have a lot of beer on tap. read more

My family LOVES this place. We cannot give it enough stars, in my opinion. The wings are probably the best around and the variety of craft beers, burgers, and pizzas is incredible. Their home made root beer is delicious too! This place means a lot to me, also, because when a friend and I were trying to do something nice for the local police station and bring them some hot wings for each shift, 571 Grill also threw in 6 large pizzas for free! This meant a lot to my husband's department and you can tell that 571 has the community on their hearts. I had a business lunch here and am glad I did. The menu is fairly extensive but everybody was happy with what they got. They had a couple of really large tables that were perfect for groups. I was initially sad because I had planned ahead and had my heart set on the French Dip but they were out of brisket. I got the Philly Beef & Cheese instead and it was just as good as I imagined the French Dip would be. Portion sizes were good -- not insane. I do not typically like burgers, but I had a bite of my son's and it was heavenly. The burger was heaven on earth. Everything from the quality meat they use, the perfect way they cook the burger and the fresh and delicious toppings makes it one of the only burgers I will eat. Their fresh cut french fries remind me of fair fries that you add malt vinegar to. Yes, they have awesome burgers and sandwiches, but they also have AMAZING salads. They use hydroponic, locally grown lettuce. They make many of their own dressings and the grilled chicken they use is top notch. Those are many of the daily favorites. One day we got delicious tomato bisque soup and grilled cheese. It was incredible. Perfected toasted/grilled bread, gooey stretchy cheese and the most delicious tomato soup I've had in ages. My son had a ribeye steak sandwich. He said it was the best sandwich he's ever had. Well cooked, juicy, tender and perfect. The ambiance has also gotten upgraded in the past few years. Years ago it had plastic foldable tables. Now they have beautiful wooden tables and nicer chairs. This place just keeps getting better and better. Oh boy. I've been going here since it opened. The owners, are extremely nice people. To see it go from a deli to a jam-packed bonafide MUST HAVE experience has been amazing. One thing I don't see mentioned a lot are the smoked wings. My god, I could eat my weight in them! The pizza, spot on. The burgers, above anything in a 50 mile radius...but the wings. Brined overnight, smoked and then flash fried to order, genius. Please, this is a small family owned spot, be patient, it's worth it! I have recommended this restaurant to at LEAST 50 people, most of whom I work with. read more
