My wisdom tooth suddenly gave me so much pain over the weekend that I immediately made an appointment with my regular dentist. They said it required a specialist and referred me to a different place that was fully booked for the next 30 days! Thankfully I found 5 star dental online, and they were very kind and understanding of my situation. They were able to get me in the very next day to have my wisdom teeth. My services at this office have been ongoing for around a year now & I wanted to share my experiences. Through having lots of childhood dental trauma I expressed all my concern initially to Dr.Lee, to which she has always responded with such courtesy & honesty. In the last year through the help of 5star i've undergone cleanings, cavity fillings, root canals, and now wisdom teeth removal. Not only is Dr.Lee a dentist wizard when it comes to her knowledge and extremely quick services, but the entire team is truly amazing. From the extremely patient & informative help at the front desk to the supportive and educated staff of dental assistants. Everyone here really seems to work as such a high functioning machine and it makes the experience as a client sooo comfortable and encouraging to come back to. I have colleagues who have undergone horror stories at other dentists in the colony & would refer anybody looking for a friendly and professional dentist to this office, I really can't say enough great things. read more

There are few bad things I must share with you. Not skilled - I do not know how good the Dr. is. due to my kids were treated by assistants. According to my two kids 10 yrs, and 14 yrs old, they were not skilled at all. And, asked me to go back to other place they used to go. Long Wait - We went there on time, but we had to wait 40 min without getting any status update. This was a sign. We should have left when we had chance. Scam - Before we went there, we submitted insurance info and they confirmed of acceptance. We went in at 4:20, and got out at 6:20. They asked me to pay $160 upfront as they were not able to confirm the insurance. Something not right because they confirmed it before they book the appointment. They said that they can't confirm due to office is closed. They had 80 min to call insurance company (between 4:20 - 6 pm) earlier. Why they have to say it after they finished treatment? (they were talking about quitting the job. So, I assume they were not paying attention on paper works. Or, they don't know how to verify the insurance). I was told that refund will be issued once they contact the insurance company. They didn't contact me next day. I called insurance company myself to find out. Insurance was active. In turned out that dental office decided not to claim through insurance because they got cash already. It is scam, right? Anyway, I filed dispute charge. If I win, I get money back. If I lose, I don't know what to do yet. read more

Even though its an hour drive to 5star dental, this is the only dentist office im planning on visiting.

I went to see Dr Lee over a year ago. This is a long overdue review. Keep in mind, I go to the dentist TWICE a year to get my regular cleanings done. I also own a Sonicare toothbrush. Moved to The Colony and found Dr Lee.. Yes, Dr Lee SEEMS nice and she helps explains things but I was fooled by her kindness! You trust the expert who went through years of schooling to learn their job. It then becomes a skill set after some time & experience. I have never ever been told I have a cavity until I met Dr Lee. She informed me I had 5 cavities! I was in disbelief as she showed me my X- rays and pointed to them as I sat there just nodding my head trustingly but ignorantly. I trusted her and got them all filled that day but as I continued to think about it after... Suspicion dawned on me. Maybe she just wanted to make money off insurance companies. I pay the copay and filling them is free for me. They bill insurance whatever insurance is willing to pay and make $$$. I mean what do I even know about looking at xrays?? We just nod our heads and believe whatever the expert tells us. Moved away. Fast forward 6 mths.. New dentist- NO CAVITIES.. Fast forward another 6 mths.. NO CAVITIES. Why is she the only dentist my lifetime that said I had not one or two but FIVE cavities???. Very questionable. No change in habits or diet. I am actually a health conscious individual. I and my husband have been coming here for a while now and it is the best dental care we have ever experienced. Dr. Lee is very professional and courteous; her treatments and patient care are amazing. She is always so nice and explains any concerns I might have. Friendly staff members is a plus; the staffs are so welcoming and polite every single time we have appointments. Overall, everything is on time and it is such an extremely professionally run office. I've never felt more comfortable with a dental office. I recently had some cavities filled and an extraction done at 5 Star Dental. The office is clean and bright, the staff very polite and welcoming. Dr. Lee was efficient, professional and took the time to talk with me about my options. I was very impressed overall and will go back for regular checkups. I took two of my kids in a few days prior to my appointment for checkups. One of my children is very anxious (about everything) and was completely satisfied with her visit. After several years without seeing a dentist I was referred to 5 Star. Dr. Lee sat down after reviewing the x-rays and determined that I needed alot of work done. Fillings, root canal and a deep cleaning ect. This caused me concern because I haven't been to a dentist in over 5 plus years. Dr.Lee made the process easy and mostly painless (pain was after the root canal nothing Dr. Lee did). If you looking for a dentist look no further you found it. Booked with Dr.Lee due to the reviews and honestly I was a little skeptical thinking "all these reviews can't be true" but... I was wrong!!! Before just diving in to clean my teeth Dr.Lee thoroughly reviewed my x-rays with me and addressed all my concerns. She listened as to what I didn't like about my teeth and provided me with a recommendation that is actually better than what I initially went in wanting. I appreciated her honesty and the time she took to explain everything. She didn't just come in saw me for five minutes and left me with the hygienist! I have been coming here for 2 years no problems taking my money to start new work but the past month I've been experiencing pain on 2 teeth that they had worked on in September , I have been experiencing pain for a month every time I went in she would say I don't see anything on the X-ray and rush me out of the office even though I was in tears , I know we are now in quarantine but I have been dealing with this pain that is continuing to get worse and she is telling me it's not an emergency I can't sleep haven't eaten I am so mad because I can't find a dentist that's taking new patients and my dentist refuses to acknowledge my pain I fortunately found another dentist come to find I had a tooth (that Was filled in September due to cavity at 5 star ) was necrotic and heavily infected , I needed a root canal . I have had the worst experience ever with 5 Star Dental today. It should be renamed to 1 Star Dental for the poor customer service they provide. Stefany, the receptionist at the front desk was very rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I gave her my insurance information, but she didn't know how to verify it. Rather than trying to solve the issue she raised her voice and screamed at me. I expressed my concern to her about such behavior, but she continued to argue and scream. I was never ever humiliated by any business in the USA like this before. Horrible and very embarrassing experience, will never ever come back again!!!!! read more

Dr. Lee was very friendly and her staff were so helpful. I had some small cavities they filled. They did an excellent job and made sure I was ok after and that the bite wasn't off. They also did a cleaning/ polish and my teeth felt great after. Dr. Lee did a great job of explaining some options and outcomes regarding future care. I've had some awful and painful experiences with other dentists in the past, so when I moved to Texas and had to find a new dentist I was really scared. I even had to reschedule my morning appt to afternoon and they had no issue working with me on that.
