I went to Balboa Lilys first and it was disappointing so came here to try to redeem my morning coffee experience. I was greeted right when I walked in by a very pleasant staff. They took my order quickly and had my mocha out right away. Both of the staff I interacted with were very friendly and answered all my questions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My mocha was pretty good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It looked like they had a large selection of donuts to choose from in their display case. I would definitely recommend this place because of their friendly service.

Thai tea boba

A great quick spot to grab some boba for the boardwalk or pier. They're friendly and have a big menu to chose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not the absolute best boba I've ever had but still hits the spot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Crumb cinnamon roll
Brandon W.

Last donut spot to try in the area. Picked up a crumb cinnamon roll and got my friend a maple twist. Variety available was good. The prices were a little high. The tablet ordering system is kinda missing details on some of the donuts. Like what kind of twist or bar or roll. Lady was nice and let me just check out with her. I would recommend them if you are in the area.

We stopped here during our hot girl walk and it was the perfect little break on a sunny Newport day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The iced latte was a solid 8/10[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], [[HIGHLIGHT]]the amaretto cold brew was the star at 9/10[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the strawberry banana smoothie was a 6.5/10.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall good drinks and definitely worth a stop with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] #livelaughlove

##3 HAM BACON SAUSAGE EGG & CHEESE BAGEL on jalapeño cheese bagel
Jaison J.

This is a great spot for a quick bagel sandwich or a sweet treat to satisfy your cravings. I tried a bagel sandwich with sausage, egg, ham, bacon, and cheese on a jalapeño cheese bagel, as well as a custom bagel with egg, cheese, tomato, and onion on the same bagel. Both were delicious and super filling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The hot coffee was the perfect boost to keep me energized for the day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After my meal, I ended up going back in to try a doughnut, and I have no regrets. The doughnut was soft and fluffy, not cakey--definitely hit the spot! I'll definitely be back. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and there's outdoor seating nearby to enjoy your meal.

Avocado Bagel

Ordered avocado on a toasted bagel & got this. They should say avocado is not available if they only have rotten slices like this left.. it was slimey in texture and smelled rancid. Can't believe they actually gave this to a paying customer.

They have me donut holes on the house 10/10 will be a returning customer thank you again!

Upon walking in, the barista was friendly and open to answering any and all questions. Ambiance was also great and fit the name of the cafe and its vibes. For the drinks, we got an iced toffee latte and the kepania, which is their version of a spanish latte. I liked the toffee latte more cause it had bits of toffee in it but I also liked the spanish latte as it tasted lighter than the toffee latte. It gave the drinks more of a balance when I started taking sips from both of them. I do really like how the top layer of the lattes were blue, which gives off a great aesthetic. The only downside for me was that the toffee latte lost a good amount of its flavor after some of the ice melted-- some cafes still have a strong coffee taste even after the ice melts & that's usually what I like as far as preference. As for the sunbliss blend smoothie, it definitely had that taste of the 100% real fruit in it and was a refreshing drink to sip on when I walked at the beach. It's a plus for this cafe for having plenty of options between drinks and bites!

Food: cookies were great, a little high priced but to be expected for a gourmet cookie Newport. Service: the cashier didn't know any answers for any of our very simple menu questions. Her response was "I don't know". Cashier failed to tell they were out of two of their primary ingredients until we tried to order drinks - out of stock of coconut for their featured yacht latte, and out of stock of vanilla, which I feel a coffee shop should never be out of stock of. The barista making drinks made them quickly. Ambience: nice and quaint and perfect for Newport. We paid $38 for two med size drinks and three cookies. Cold brew was not very good. The girl suggested to me that the mocha would be bitter, so I shouldn't order it half sweet when in fact, I ordered it normal based on her suggestion and it was very sweet. I would not recommend this coffee shop. There are others in close proximity that might be better.

When you only have a 3 hour window on your work trip, you want to make it count ;) The ceviche and spicy margarita were fantastic (see pic) - I sat outside and then walked down the block to the ferry (for $4 you can ride across the inlet to the pier and back in just a few minutes) Todos Santos really made my week!

Nice looking spot with plenty of outdoor seating. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly. So why just 3 stars? The food was just eh. If I had more hours in California I would have made up for the lackluster food by making a trip to HB's Tacos Los Cholos. I had the recommended Enchiladas Suizas. When my plate came out I knew immediately it would be just ok. The enchiladas didn't even look saucy. The refried beans looked (and tasted) like canned beans. The rice was very boring. The tinga chicken, somehow, was dry. My wife had the tostada salad. It was like $26 because of the $10 add on of steak. $26 for the most gringo thing on the menu. Best part of it was the steak, the rest will be repressed from my memory. A friend had the taco trio. $19 for 3 tacos and no sides. That's pretty steep. He didn't even finish the 3 tacos. He had the short rib, al pastor and carnitas. None of them looked very good. I had a pinch of his short rib meat. It tasted like grandma's Sunday pot roast. And just like the tinga chicken it was also dry. My wife's strawberry marg was quite good. The beer menu was very basic. Gotta step it up. When the free chips and salsa, and add on steak are the highlights of the dinner you know that the place needs help.

The service here was quick and concise, the baristas were friendly and helpful with ordering and were exactly what you should expect from a craft coffee shop. There wasn't anything overtly special about the mocha that I ordered. It was a bit chocolate heavy and the coffee flavor didn't push through much at all, but every place does it a bit different. It wasn't bad by any means! We didn't try any food or pastries, but the offerings all looked pretty good. I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you want a good coffee joint in the area.

There is a parking lot, but it is tiny and seems like it's always full. Plan on street parking in the vicinity. They are busy (long line out the door) and there are limited seating. You wait in line to order first and the area leading to the counter is tight so people do a u-turn to get back out the way they went in. It was also very muggy this afternoon and they only had a fan running inside so I was sweating so much. It was not a pleasant experience. There's a small bar area to the right and a few tables that are oddly placed behind the nook of the doors. It's got a cute country meets beach city vibe and the decorations inside reflect that. There is more seating outside, but like I said, it's kind of limited. We luckily got a table after about 4-5 minutes, but we were kind of standing near the trash can for a bit trying to figure out what to do. It's a very tiny space/lot and with how popular it is, it's too cramped for me. With all the cyclospora stuff going on, I'm very hesitant to eat out lately and if I do, I stick to all the fried foods. I ended up getting their popular Hawaiian Cowboy Latte (iced) which was good, but the walnut milk was unexpectedly thick/decadent. I normally drink my coffee black or I do cold brew, but it has honey too so it was sweeter. I think it was too much milk for my liking. If I went back, I'd prob try their affogato. That sounded good too. I also ordered the campfire french toast. It was good. In hindsight, the coffee plus the sweet french toast was too much sweet in one sitting. It was still good and I finished it. My other coworkers got an avocado toast and the trojan horse bowl. Those looked good too and they enjoyed it. Overall, it was good and the ambience is nice, but it's overpriced for what it was. The parking and lack of seating is definitely a turn off for me. If there was more room it would be cool, but the layout was not what I had anticipated. It looked bigger in the photos other people had posted. The staff is friendly so that was nice. I'm glad I went and tried it out though.
