Went Saturday to try out the Indian lunch buffet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant had nice ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was good. I really like that they have fresh Naan. Normally butter chicken is my go to but the Aloo Korma was my favorite. The dish had great flavor and just enough kick. That was the only dish that really stood out to me. The other dishes were pretty standard for an Indian buffet.
Got food delivered for dinner at work. There were good and not so good elements of the food. Everything was very well packaged and nothing leaked out. The garlic naan had good flavor but was soggy, might be because I got it to go. The butter chicken had great flavor and perfect amount of heat, but it was thin slivers of chicken that didn't make it very satisfying. The guntur veg biryani was HUGE! I didn't really like the spice blend it was made with, had a slight bitter taste to it. I would probably order from here again but try something different next time.

Although the night was extremely cold, the hospitality and warmth from the staff was much needed! I was visiting Florida for work purposes. Since I didn't have any friends in Jacksonville, I leaned on yelp for everything from getting my nails done to of course eating some good food. I passed this place several times while leaving the St. John's town center. Because of their hours of operation and my schedule, I was not able to make it there for their lunch buffet. Since I was by myself, I opted to sit at the bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Let me say, the place was absolutely spotless![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And I loved the decor![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everyone from the hostess, to the runners, to the bartenders were all very friendly. For the price of what I paid for wine, I definitely had a slight buzz from the amount that was given! I opted to order the tandoori chicken with rice with a side of naan. The non-laced a little bit of salt, but I see that this is a trend in the Jacksonville area. But no worries, it was still fresh and did it job. The chicken was nice and tender, and I left feeling full. Reheated my chicken and rice two days later, and the quality and taste was still there! I highly recommend this place for the amazing customer service and the quality of food.
This Indian buffet is awesome! They have so many options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's clean and plenty of space for big groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All the workers are so friendly and the service was top notch. I really like how they have the name and description for each thing. It educates customers on some dishes they may not know. I tried some new Indian dishes and everything was yummy! I especially loved the mango ice cream at the end:)
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely enjoyed this lunch buffet at the very modern town center location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My favorite thing was the mango ice cream which happens to be right next to a little window where there's a continuous flow of freshly made naan bread coming directly out of the kitchen. Lots of different types of curries to try and we really liked the chicken biryiani & tandoori as well. Our server was very friendly too.
Food was good, food portion was a lot enough to eat for two days. Mr. Ashley was a phenomenal waiter explained all the menu items and answered all questions I had. We tried this restaurant for the first time for dinner while visiting Jacksonville and shopping at the mall. We were seated right away and I loved the ambiance. This place is fairly new and looks very clean. We ordered their Keema pav and avocado papdi chat and both of those appetizers were really good. I also ordered their Old fashioned drink. Our server was RK Naidu, and I loved the fact that he kept checking on us a few times to make sure we liked everything. I liked how he asked for feedback on the Old fashioned drink he made, so it could be better for the second time. He also recommended good dessert combo such as gulab jamun with their free mango ice cream. Their mango ice cream tasted delicious. Everything we ordered tasted great. I loved their spicy spring dosa that comes with vegetables and potato filling. We also ordered their chole bature and mixed vegetable garlic fried rice with paneer. See photos of the food below. Our bill for everything was $124, which is quite reasonable and I will be back to try other things on the menu such as chicken tikka masala next time. Overall this restaurant is great in terms of food and service. Highly recommend!
Wow - everything was fantastic! We stayed with a dosa and a samosa chaat, both were delicious. The mango lassi bar drink was also great. The butter chicken and garlic naan were wonderful. We ate every bite. Service was prompt and friendly

I chose the buffet because I wanted to try several different thingss and the menu is extensive. I thought everything tasted great. Definitely will be back.

Staff was welcoming and had good recommendations as to what we can order that is not normally seen in Indian lunch buffet. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. Glad we took the server's recommendation. We had sampler samosa and dosa (first time trying it and was not disappointed. Mango lamb, Mumbai kabob ( flavorful and was our favorite) , shawarma biryani were all amazing.

It's been years since I've had Indian food that I didn't make at home. A coworker had suggested this place during a work trip so opted to take them up on trying it out. Take note there are two 5th Element spots within 10 minutes of each other. I started with one of their bottled Indian lagers. It wasn't too bad, although I wish they had draft options for the Indian beer. All the food was ordered for me prior to arrival so I'm a little lost on names of everything. We had Paneer Pakora (fried cottage cheese which was better than I had expected), buttered Naan bread, lentils and I believe vegetable biryani. It was all delicious! However, best part of the meal was the mango ice cream machine. That will make you comeback. It's house made. Our server was excellent. Highly recommend this spot! I'll be back if I'm in Jax again. read more
My co-worker from India recommended this spot to me & it did not disappoint! I tried lunch buffet which was well worth the price. My favorite parts were the mango juice, the chutney bar, the fresh naan, and all the authentic desserts. I was very happy with the wide selection of everything and the freshness of each dish I tried. Furthermore, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the whole atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent and the servers were very attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just note that if you're coming for the buffet is only open at specific times, like for lunches. I love Indian food, and went with a friend for the buffet. It was plentiful, and you certainly won't go away hungry. I was a bit disappointed in the selections, as so many tasted the same. The goat curry - which I love - was all bones, I went 3 times to try to find meat, and it was just all bones, but it did have a lovely flavor. I found the Naan not to be at all soft and chewy, but rather hard and tasteless. Maybe I hit the end of the batch? [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is lovely. Very calming and pleasant[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I do think they could do without the big screen TV. Sometimes it's just nice to sit and not have that playing in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was a bit off and on. I had asked for ice, several times, before receiving it. As most people get the buffet I guess they figure you're on your own. My table mate did not get the buffet, and had a hard time even placing her order as they just don't return to the tables. We used to be regulars on baymeadows and unfortunately understand they have to appeal to new client base/ American palate. The buffet offered good options but also not much spice available Today we ordered chicken pakora and lamb saag which was not full flavored. There was some spice but not the flavorful version we are used to. The saag was also watery. Even the chai lacked umph. Service was good and the environment is clean / pretty but not sure we would do it again. Sadly. read more

Buffet lunch weekdays $16.99 went with a friend who loves Indian food as much as I do. Lots of items on the menu including my favorite chicken tikka Marsala. 5 th Element makes the best! They also have dessert included. Their mango ice cream swirl is my favorite. If you love Indian or have never tried it this is a good way. Every item is labeled with an explanation. On weekends the Buffett has some more items & its $21.99 read more

My family and I are huge fans of 5th Element. We have been loyal customers for five+ years. We were excited about this second location close to the original spot on Baymeadows and finally made it for a visit. We were blown away by the new restaurant. It looks amazingly upscale. Staff are dressed up a bit more but still remain as friendly as ever. We were surprised to see how busy it was too. Food comes out quick just like usual but cutlery, glass, and plates are new and nice. The food remains the best Indian outside of India. Parking was decent with a ton of spots. I didn't check the bathrooms but I imagine they are good since the restaurant is new. There is beautiful outdoor seating. I'll try that in a future visit. But the best news is they have an ice cream machine too! This restaurant remains one of my favorites of all time. read more

Wow and wow! Recently opened new location at the Town Center and I can't wait to go back! Absolutely beautiful build out with ample seating and a huge outdoor patio. The star here though was the buffet. So many options and each item was labeled with the dish and ingredients! I suggest doing a visual lap before filling your first plate since there are so many delicious choices. Absolutely everything we tried was delicious. They even had tandoori chicken on the buffet! Quiet and relaxing atmosphere; arrived during non-peak hours. Ordered a bunch of chaats: samosa chaat, avocado papdi chaat, kale chaat, pav bhaji and one from their January special (I forgot the name). Also ordered the chili garlic naan with a side of butter chicken sauce (without the chicken). Each of the dishes were super flavorful and delicious! My favorites were the samosa chaat and pav bhaji. The naan dipped in the sauce was also excellent. We asked for the sauce to be extra spicy and the combination of the chili naan and sauce made it pretty spicy (make my head sweat spicy)! But that's exactly what I wanted! They also provided complimentary mango soft serve at the end. Perfect ending to the meal. Service was very nice and attentive. The only critique is that we saw them cleaning the tables with Windex (which is NOT a cleaner)! Otherwise, food was top notch and would go again. read more

I did not dine in here- I just ordered and picked up food to eat at home. I was really excited to try this place because I'd heard good things. Unfortunately, I'm still on the hunt for my go-to Indian place. I ordered a chicken curry and garlic naan. The chicken curry was really bland and not spicy at all. It was a big disappointment.
