My experience at Fogo de Chão was simply exceptional--undoubtedly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the elegant yet welcoming atmosphere made us feel special; however, what truly elevated the entire experience was the service. The attention we received was impeccable, with the staff constantly attentive to every detail and ensuring that we lacked absolutely nothing. I would like to give a special shout-out to two individuals who made our visit unforgettable: Luara and Andrew. Their level of professionalism, kindness, and dedication was truly impressive. Luara was incredibly attentive, always wearing a genuine smile and ensuring that everything at our table was perfect. Andrew, for his part, complemented the experience with equally warm and efficient service, demonstrating extensive knowledge of the menu and a constant willingness to assist. I have never been to this style restaurant before, I was very impressed with all the offerings! The walk up "bar" had so much to offer and choose from, could be a little overwhelming so maybe scope it out before you start loading your plate! The table offerings were so great! The top sir line was definitely my favorite and got it a few times it came around! There wasn't just meat that was offered on the table side. There was also fried cheese, which was amazing with some honey there was also a candied pineapple that was to die for I could've just eaten that alone! Also they bring out mashed potatoes, plantains, yucca, fries, and cheese bread!! again pace yourself you could get full very quickly! I also had a Carijjio here that can be a drink that is hard to make or get right and they did an amazing job. I also asked for decaf and they were accommodating to that as well! I do think that from the perspective of it being tableside with a feel of self serve that you can overindulge too quickly so again pacing yourself is the best bang for your buck here! Stopped by on a Wednesday around 6 PM and grabbed a spot at the bar for happy hour. I love that their happy hour menu is available all day at the bar and on the patio. The service was excellent, our bartender, Lindsay, was super attentive and efficient even as the restaurant started to pick up. They have great deals like $8 wine, $10 cocktails, & $6 beers, plus some appetizers starting at $6. Lindsay also mentioned you can add on the full salad bar buffet area for just $18 more, which is a solid deal. We didn't add that on this time but something to keep in mind for the future. Tried Fogo de Chão for the first time to celebrate a special occasion. Everything started off great--the food was excellent. The Market Table offered a wide variety of fresh, delicious salads and side dishes. The steaks were especially impressive--tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. It did get quite busy, which slowed down the service a bit, but the ambiance remained pleasant--clean, calm, and not too noisy. So my first 2 visits at Fogo was much more of a "Nogo". I was underwhelmed, had that 3 star vibe feel for me. Their meats was unseasoned; tasted bland. And trust me, I am all about the Meat Sweats. But my recent visits bumped up the stars to 4. What I do like about Fogo... - Their Bar (5/5): It definitely offers alot. No further explanation needed here - Price (4/5): for $55 full experience, I expect tasty meats but some was lacking - Atmosphere is always busy - Gauchas club scene. It was incredibly frustrating to be inundated with the same cuts of meat for the first few minutes and then nothing for the rest of the evening!! Even when we asked for flank steak or something other than pork or chicken. You get what they have for 30 min and then fight to have them pay attention to you. This is the best Brazilian steak house in North Florida in my experience. I definitely rate it significantly higher than Texas de Brazil in terms of service, quality of the food and ambiance. The rotation of meats for the ultimate experience is high. You never feel like you're hungry and waiting from them to bring out more steak etc. The quality is very high. The steak especially always hits the mark and doesn't disappoint. Service is outstanding. The salad bar isn't my favorite thing here but it is impressive. I am somebody who likes medium meat unfortunately, unless you were looking for rare or medium, rare or well done they never offer anything in the middle even when we specifically ask it never comes out at the right temperature. the one thing Fogo de Chao has over other Brazilian steakhouses is the cheese with honey I would go back just for that. Went to Fogo de Chao hungry boy was that the right call! The place was somewhat empty as we came in around 5pm. The place is well decorated with wines on the wall to a fully stocked bar. Our server was Nick who really aimed to please. In addition we had Gabi checking on us to see if she could provide any suggestions or bring us more wine! The food was very good included is an epic market bar with everything you can think of. My first trying candied bacon! That was delicious!! Issac one of the managers also came around to see how things were going and if we had any favorites so far. We also had roasted pineapple and cream brûlée cheese cake. I went celebrating my birthday with a group of friends and family members. We go out as a group of guys usually every few moths and usually go to fogo, the other brazilian steakhouse close by or some other meat related place. The service and quality has been declining at this establishment for a few years now and especially the last 2 times we went prior to this experience was a subpar service experience at best and the food has been average to above average. This is so unfortunate as this place used to be so good. When we came in, and were seated, the server (jorge i believe) gentleman came over and was taking orders. From the beginning he seemed off. He seemed to not comprehend and answer simple questions and seemed distracted. I explained we are back despite having a bad experience last time. His apathy should have been our queue to leave but we didnt. Simple requests like asking for a straw for my drink went unfulfilled. Over an hour into the meal, I had asked 3 different people for a straw and only got it once my nephew went to the bar and grabbed one from the bar did I have a straw. We specifically asked for cuts of meat and got everything but what we asked for. I had even told him the same thing happened last time and we didnt want a repeat. The server (i think Jorge was his name) disappeared for such a long time. About 20 minutes into his disappearance, I asked another server for help for new plates and specific cuts of meat. Some came, some didnt. I even asked the hostess if the server had a medical condition or had consumed some medication prior to us coming in as he wasnt focused at all and so erratic. We ordered desert and coffee and getting coffee took so long and one guy in our party didnt even get the coffee he ordered. No manager ever stopped by the 2.5 to 3 hours to check in on us. I also relayed my concerns and my blunt assessment towards closing time of the server to a young woman working there who identified herself as a customer service manager and she assured me whe would escalate my concerns to a manager the next day who would address my issues with the staff member Involved. Whst used to be a restaurant where service was a priority has devolved into a bad example of taking care of the customer and creating a special dining experience. I have held private events here as well in the past and always enjoyed it when they first opened a the first few years. For the most of the staff to have stopped caring about giving the best dining experience possible, it is obvious management is seriously lacking in training, oversight and leadership. I am sad to say that this restaurant will not be getting my patronage any longer and I will share my very poor experiences with others that ask me. I hope this is just a poorly run location in jacksonville and not indicative of the brand overall. I hope the home office will care enough to put customers first again and bring in from the top down people thet care. The shrimp and lobster were boiled and plain water and garnish with partially flakes. I thought that they provided butter, but when I dipped the shrimp, it was grapefruit juice. The service was exceptional, and we were lucky to have Blake as our server & Minerva as our waitress--she was fantastic! Attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, she made sure our experience was flawless from start to finish. Blake was also checking up on us and making sure we had a great experience and received any of our favorites at our table. The food, as always, was outstanding. The selection of meats was cooked to perfection, with the picanha and filet mignon being absolute standouts. Every bite was flavorful, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The Market Table was fresh and well-stocked with delicious sides, salads, and cheeses, providing the perfect balance to the richness of the meats. A must is the Brazilian limonada because it helps with using it as a palette cleanser in between bites of meat. I hardly was able to take pictures of the food because of how quick and constant they brought the meats. A special shoutout to Minerva for recommending the tres leches dessert--what an amazing choice! It was perfectly moist, rich but not too heavy, and an absolute delight to end the meal. If you're looking for a classy date night or anniversary spot this is the place for you. But you must come hungry!!! I recommend making a reservation because this place is always busy. We have been to a couple different Brazilian steakhouses, but this one has to be our favorite. The service is wonderful. They bring by so many different cuts of meat to try and they even ask you if there's something in specific you want to try. Also, how you want the meat cooked as well. The drinks are delicious and packed with flavor. Our favorite one is a passionfruit Caparina. The fresh bar is full of all kinds of delicious items to try, but you have to be careful or you'll get too full. They have all kinds of cheeses, salads, veggies from olives and fermented peppers. They even have soup and this divine candied bacon. You have to try the picana that is the best cut of meat in our opinion. And of course, the filet mignon. It was our anniversary and Fogo de Chão always a free dessert for a special occasion, and we ordered the chocolate ganache cake. We were so full, but this was a good cherry on top of the meal. P.S. Sometimes your waiter can significantly enhance your dining experience and on this night, Ginno took care of all of our needs making sure our anniversary was outstanding. If you get a chance to request a waiter, request him and you will be thrilled with your night. The restaurant is located in the heart of Towncenter and as such, parking can be an issue. However, FDC offers free valet service, so do not worry about where you will park, they will take care of you. You have multiple choices for your dining experience, the straight Cherasco or the elevated experience it comes with some additional seafood like lobster and crab cake. There was a special that included a lobster tail, along with a normal experience, and we opted for that. The lobster was good, but it did not really add much in flavor as the meats are so over the top delicious. She really wanna know about the food, now don't you? Salad bar - I'm gonna tell you we skipped the salad bar, both because it was crowded and also there was nothing really there that we were overly interested in. I take that back, I did get some of the pineapple and other fruit that was on display. Cheese biscuits - not the kind you get from Red lLbster, but soft rolls with a cheesy center. Caramelized banana - always one of my favorites, bananas with a light crust that cleans your pallet after the spiced meat . Blister cheese - served with your choice of regular honey or hot honey, this fell very flat for me and I didn't really enjoy it. Mashed potatoes - not normally my favorite but tonight they were really tasty. Lamb Picahna - normally my favorite, but tonight it came in second, but it is so so good. Sirloin Picahna - good salad choice, but for me it's well behind the lamb. Chicken drumstick - it was just OK. Chicken thigh - marinated for 24 hours, and then grilled perfection with a crispy skin that is perfectly seasoned, it may sound silly with all this great meat options, but this was my favorite tonight. I even stopped the gaucho that served it to us and ask him for the details and to tell him how much I really enjoyed it. You could tell he enjoyed talking about his work, how he cooks and what goes into it. (Note to self, don't forget to engage the gauchos because they are a storehouse of knowledge.) Cheesecake crème brûlée - I will try to post a picture because this was an amazing presentation. Crispy on the outside soft cheesecake inside, it was very good. If you order it, don't forget to ask for extra raspberry sauce as my wife seemed to devour the portion we had on the plate. Overall, very wonderful anniversary dinner. However, I do have one small complaint. Maybe it's not a complaint, maybe it's just a pet peeve, but I am taking chemotherapy treatments, and sometimes standing for long periods of time is difficult. So standing while waiting for valet can be trying. I have a handicap pass, so when we come here I normally get to park out front. However, it was raining, and those spots were used as extra valet spots, and not for people who have a handicap placard. We came while we were in town for my husbands birthday. And I would like to preface this by saying our server Melanie was AMAZING. She was very attentive, explained everything very well when I was confused about the menu, and my water glass stayed FULL which is a huge plus for me. My biggest gripe is about the food itself, while flavorful and delicious, is disappointing at how cold everything was except for two sirloins we were offered. I never did see the lamb chops or filet, but what we had was good. The "market table" felt like a glorified salad bar where there were roasted veggies sitting on ice... which ruined the whole "roasted" part of it.. the sides served on the table were also basically cold when they were served. Our dessert was mediocre but delicious, however it took over 20 minutes to get to our table which is wild to me, because it was the molten chocolate cake and it was comparable to the triple chocolate meltdown from Applebees. We had a great time at dinner with wonderful service but the food really was lackluster, the absolute BEST items we had were the lobster, crab cakes, and bone in ribeye carved for my husband. The gauchos barely came to our table, and when they did, they would serve maybe two people out of our party of eight before walking off without a word. It felt like we were constantly being ignored. Our waiter was inattentive and slow. We had to wait far too long for drink refills, and trying to get basic service felt like pulling teeth. The quality of the meat was another major letdown - most of it was just fat, barely cooked, and frankly inedible. I will say the only good (and hot) piece of meat I had was a lamb chop that we had to call the gaucho over for from across the room. It was hard to tell if they were rushing or just didn't care, but it definitely didn't live up to the premium price tag. I had high expectations, but this visit left a bad taste in every sense. Decided to get the couples meal with the 32oz ribeye. Steak as always delicious. As for the sides very disappointed. They gave us two raw peeled potatoes when it was supposed to be mashed potatoes. So when paying over $100 for a meal I did not expect to make my own mashed potatoes. All other sides were cold so had to put my chef hat on and complete the meal and add seasoning to everything. The restaurant didn't hesitate and seated us quickly. When our server showed up not only did she ensure we got the food we wanted but also recommended the best dessert to top off the meal.
