Indian restaurants that I would recommend. This is ok if you are a beginner and just trying Indian cuisine for the first time. Price points matched what was on the buffet line.

Best South Indian in Jacksonville! We came all the way from Georgia looking for Dosai and Idlis and they had them! They had fantastic sambar, peanut, coconut, and tomato chutney and we were shocked as they even offered Dosai and Idli for their lunch buffet (only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!) the owner Reddy was awesome and didn't even charge us for our 2 year old who had a few bites off our plate! 10/10, definitely coming back!

I'm really not a big fan of buffets, but when you don't know what to order and they offer this.....It's a good option. We got there just before the crowd. We got seated, and the waiter took our drink order. He was very polite. It wasn't a lot of items on the buffet, but enough to fill your plate. One 1/2 of the buffet was vegan and the other side had meat. (I do both) The waiter had to tell me what some of the items were. I kid you not, I had forgot that the cauliflower was cauliflower, I never would have known. It was so good. Everything was good! Now, I don't like okra, I've only seen the slimy version. This Okra had not a bit of slime (but I still didn't care for it) The desert, I'm sorry I only know how to describe it, I don't know what it's called. But they are balls, with liquid. I've had this before, to me, theses were way too sweet for me. You might like it like that. So that's the one dish I couldn't eat. If you like intense flavor, you might want to check this place out. I really like Indian Cuisine.

We usually order Masala Indian Cuisine to be delivered, but decided to go check out the actual spot for dinner one night. Were seated right away and got our drinks and order in quickly. Quiet, chill, traditional - it was very comfy. I am obsessed with their tikka masala. I like chicken for mine and medium/hot spice. They do it right every time and it's just so dang good. Perfectly seasoned, great spice, fresh and HOT (I mean temperature wise this time). We'll continue to pop in or order takeout/delivery - a great gem in Jax.

Clean. Tasty. Quiet. No frills service. *First time in. I arrived at 11am, when they opened - I planned to come on a holiday, so I called the day wrote to make sure they would be open. I was the first customer through the doors. I let the host know I would be partaking in the lunch buffet - party for one. - He was also serving as the waiter. - He seated me & immediately asked my drink order. - I'm pregnant, so I typically only drink water, but I did notice an alcohol menu on the table for those patrons who are indulging. On my first go, I grabbed a plate at the buffet and tried just about everything (except the soup & the 2 rice dishes). I noticed about 1/2 the dishes were still like warm (they probably just turned their chaffing dishes on just before they opened). - something to note, if you prefer a hot meal. - I'm not picky, I come for the flavor. I discovered my favorite dishes for the day, and went back for 2nds, and even 3rds. I loved that they had 3 different dessert options to chose from, typically it's just one dessert on the table when I've gone to other Indian buffets. I spend about $19 before tip. A little expensive for some buffets I've been to in the past, but then again... inflation ‍ The food was of good quality but the tandoori chicken didn't taste as fresh as some I've had.

We have been here a few times now and each time it has been great. This is easily one of our favorite spots. The great part is, while it's in a strip mall, the decor and set up can easily make you forget that and feel like your in a stand alone restaurant. I always go with Chicken Tikka or Chicken Biryani and have not been disappointed. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait as the food takes a little while but it is always fresh, hot and tasteful. The prices are comparable to other restaurant around. It's $60+ for my family to eat there depending on appetizers or if we just want to try something additional but well worth it.

Came here for the buffet and it did not disappoint! All of my favorite Indian food, UNLIMITED! Definitely come in hungry! All the curry, tandoori, masala, korma, etc were delicious! The sauce itself with rice were tasty! They also have vegetables such as okra, I think it was sautéed, and breaded cauliflower that tasted a bit sweet and tangy. So good! For dessert, I enjoyed the mango mousse, a tad sweet for my taste, but smooth and yummy! Their Indian tea is a must try! Service was fast with our drinks and they are always ready to take away our used plates. I highly recommend!

Consistent authentic food with personalized service in an environment that creates intimate seating area due to the partially walled booths. They do a great take out business as well as catering and are one of the few Indian restaurants doing a lunch buffet again. Would recommend for a quality Indian meal anytime.

I am a big fan of Indian cuisine, so I was eager to visit here on a recent trip to Jacksonville for the Jazz at festival. I had the buffet on Sunday. The atmosphere was pleasant and our waitress was nice . I also considered the price point more than reasonable. The Masala, my favorite, was slightly below average. I also tried the Paneer which did not have as much flavor as I am accustom. I tried several dishes but unfortunately none stood out. The Naan was slightly average and I did enjoy the Makhani and the Biryani. Overall the dishes are all slightly below my expectations. I might return if on another trip just to see if perhaps it was an off day but I would not necessarily be enthusiastic. If I could I would likely give it a 3.5 out of the 5 stars.

I get a hankering every few months for Curry and Naan so this time wanted to try a new place I have not been. This mandarin location is closer to my side of town than most of the other Indian restaurants and that works for me. As you enter it has a india traditional vibe with Bright colors and great smell. We ordered Butter Chicken and Chicken Tiki Masala and various Naan. They have several spice levels to choose and we choose mild for our curries which I would probably step up 1 next time just to see the difference. The curry was light and creamy and the chicken was moist. It met my craving. The only con was the service. We felt like a bother than a welcomed visitor. Our appetizer came as we were paying the bill so we had to have them remove it. Just a smile would of been acceptable but sometimes it's that kind of day but we smiled for them.Maybe next time.

We come in around 8:15PM on a Sunday night so we had no issue getting a table. Once seated we started off with drinks. I normally go for a Kingfisher but they didn't have it. For entrees they had a bunch of options and the prices were really good. We of course had to get some Naan and we went with Garlic and Chili Cheese. Their Garlic Naan was thinner then I was used too but still good. The Chili Cheese Naan was great and I will be getting this every time it is offered. I ended up getting by go to. The Lamb Korma spicy level hot. This again was a great price $19 or $20. Most Indian places have it $5 or $7 more for Lamb. This was a nice big serving and it was loaded with tender chunks of Lamb. I will say it was for sure a more mild spice for sure not hot and the Korma Curry was flavorful but not as much as I have had. I would for sure come back because prices are very good friendly staff and so many options.

There was a very brief wait, although I really do recommend you get reservations for your dining. The interior is cozy and adorable, looking like a converted house. The waiting area is like a well decorated living room with live flowers and warm lighting. There are about 10 seats at the bar and an extensive alcohol collection. There is interior dining as well as outdoor patio dining under a very pretty awning. The outdoor patio is surrounded by bushes and vines, so it gives a very quaint and welcoming space, and there are fans directing the airflow around so you won't be too warm even though it's still summer. Drinks average $13-$15 and are good pores. You can access their drink menu by scanning a QR code. They have seasonal food which changes regularly and a menu of select items from small plates to mains, side dishes, to a selection of desserts. I ordered the Mesa Manhattan which came out as a beautifully flavored and blended drink in an old fashioned glass with large cube. Husband got a cold sake that was delicious. My husband got the lamb burger with goat cheese and arugula - delicious and savory, smoky and beautifully balanced creamy and sharp the way they layered the flavors. I got the chicken curry that was absolutely mouthwatering. It was like butter chicken in a typical Indian restaurant but more spices and complex. Hearty and filling, comes with basmati rice. I also ordered a side of roti (2 for $5) that was flaky and good. Portion sizes are decent and they allow you to adjust spice levels on several of their items. They're also very cognizant into food allergies and you only have to tell your server and they will make sure the kitchen knows. Our servers were attentive and the valet was wonderful and very fast. There is parking nearby at the church across the street or just a few doors up on the right and left-hand side of the street, so keep your eye out if you don't want to pay valet.
