They were short staffed I assume, ordered drinks and food using their scan code on outside table. I'm not sure if they didn't check this? But no servers in site, beer came 30 min after asking for it. Two meals arrived ( prob 45 min wait) and my poor dad's salad came like 15 min later. Such a terrible experience. One server finally came up to us and asked what we needed. We were like... we ordered on your scan code 30 minutes ago. They need to get rid of scan code and go back to servers. Customers need to talk to servers. We have questions (like may we have some silverware?). If no one is around it's a mess!! read more

Reserved a party of 8 on a Saturday morning at 11:30. The interior is spacious and attractive. There's outside seating, but I can't speak to that because we weren't out there. Our server was attentive and our food came in a timely manner. My club "sammich" was more than enough, and my fries were excellent! I'd love to come here again the next time I'm in town. read more

My wife and I went there to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. We have been there before and had a good meal. We were very excited to go back. Tonight was pitiful!! You seat yourself and grab your own menus. No problem, except we sat there for 20 minutes and never even got acknowledged??? No hello not even a look our way? We got up and left through the bar area. I put our menus down and let them know we are gone! Some guy offered to comp our meal as we walked out but by that time it was way too late!! I don't know if it was understaffing or shitty staffing. We used to really enjoy Outskirts. Food was great atmosphere was good. A little expensive but we were willing to pay if the food was good. Boy has everything changed. It is now self serve like a fast food joint. Prices are the same but you now have to place your order at the counter, get your own glass of water and there is absolutely no help around for anything. Asked for more water, everyone was out and server stated they had self serve at the counter.....WTH and you want a tip after we also had to clear our table because you wouldn't clear the table when we were finished with the main. The Outskirts Brewing is located in Selah, Washington. One of two breweries located here one could describe the town as a suburb to Yakima. It's even more chill here with the lack of traffic compared to Yakima but compared to Western Washington Yakima is relatively chill too. I love the location for this brewery. Fresh, new building with a huge yard in the back to play outdoor games and to enjoy your beers in a nice, warm day. The beer though? Eh. It was OK. We had the Pilsner and it was just fair in our opinion. We love pilsners but felt it was just fair We didn't pick up an infectious breadiness and yeastiness that we adore and it just kind of seemed something that was run of the mill. They serve food but we didn't delve into that. We were after the beer to try. Parking was a bit confusing for us. We parked too soon and made a wrong turn winding up in a used car lot. Someone that was working there said someone would be along shortly to assist but asked if this was brewery parking. He said it wasn't and that we had to move. We did find the parking eventually once we got closer to the brewery building. read more

We attended the outdoor concert and the band was great but the service was horrible. I checked on the status of our food order three times and only after I requested a refund did the food arrive. We ordered food at 6:00 and the food arrived at 7:40! If I go back to listen to the music I will buy tacos from the taco truck on the corner outside the venue. Customer service goes a long way and Outskirts employees need to work on theirs. read more

When they first opened, it was great. Beautiful atmosphere. Food was fantastic and service was ok. Second time still beautiful. Ordered the same menu item, got a totally different meal. Not even half as good. Girl who was serving us must have had more important people to serve, but there was hardly anyone there. Then there are the flies you have to compete with to eat your food. I believe it's a place that wants to be upity but doesn't want to pay for good help. I tried it a third time and it got worse. Cost is way overpriced for what you get. Haven't been back. Stop in.... So..... First: ambiance: STELLAR; service: Danielle "excellent"; Food: incredible (limited choices but what they do, they do fresh and fabulous). Bun on bread was de-lish and I love that they put bacon under the cheese. They are new so I gave them a break for the 45 minute wait for food (can't come here for lunch break "yet" - I'm certain they will work this out). The drinks that came out even at lunch looked so good I wasn't drinking (shocker) and I see a lot of people with draft beer and since draft beer could change they have a virtual menu right at the bar. It's really cool see my picture. Downside (maybe) NOT DOG FRIENDLY this could be a big issue (even though there is outside seating) but... not a deal breaker for me. I'm not sure how the stars are so low on this gem of a place. Definitely our new favorite in town, the host was generous in asking us if we preferred to be close or away from the live music playing on the beautiful patio. It's an absolute park outside, with an entire outside bar during events. As far as prices go I'm not sure how anyone could complain about a $40 12oz premium Ribeye steak with two sides, cooked to perfection and so tender I could've used a butter knife to cut it. It was so great we went back the following night, the menu has so many great options for whatever you're feeling. Second time giving this place a try because we're locals. This time we went for comedy night and some apps. Dirty martini was excellent but the mozz sticks were just okay. I'd describe them as Red Robin's quality. We also got the steak skewers with peanut sauce. They were well cooked as to rareness but had a gross, almost gamey flavor. Pumpkin cheesecake was pretty good. At $100, it felt it's pricey for the level of quality. Might just go for drinks if we go back. Holiday decor was really cute! read more

Beautiful facility created by remodeling two historic barns with amazing indoor & outdoor space; restaurant on one side and brewery/bar on other side joined in the back by a shared grassy area with outdoor seating, fire pits, games, and both indoor & outdoor stages for live music several nights a week (check calendar). Atmosphere is off the charts amazing. Beautiful. The lawn area makes it great for kids to run. The food is just, not good. We ordered two kids meals and a steak dinner. Our Caesar salad was served in a warm bowl . The steak was mostly flavorless and the grilled onions that came with were cold. I'm fine with a mediocre presentation, but for the price of these dinners they've got to figure out basic restaurant timing and temperature. We will be back, but not for dinner. read more

This place is my go to spot when I come to Yakima!! Such a fun vibe. They have mini concert series during the week outside to bring the family. I also found out that a lot of the structure of the establishment is from a barn that had been there for over 100 years. So they didn't just rip down something historical to do something new. First of all, I'm local so a big supporter. Hard to rate as my experience has changed since you opened. It was originally 5 stars but has dropped to 3 stars. Steaks have gone from flavorful to flavorless. Wait staff ranges from pleasant & helpful to some with bad attitude. Ambiance is clearly awesome. Expensive, yes but I will pay for quality and I know there's a process is trying to find your footing in a small community. Love the summer outdoor concerts. Not a fan of the off season indoor live entertainment. Makes it really hard to converse with fellow diners. Just turn down the volume. Recently, there is just a feeling of lack of management oversight. We want you to succeed and know it's hard in this economy. Details matter. No mention of a service charge and we were charged an extra $20.00 The staff had a real attitude when asked to do anything. The hostess felt that it wasn't her job to bring out hot food to us. Great place to add to the area. The owners renovated and combined a couple old barns and did a great job. The outdoor space was well done too. I've only had the My Oh My IPA and it's good! And was only $5 a pint in the tap room if the Mariners are playing. The menu looks good too but I've only had the house brat while watching baseball a couple times. I've been recommending this place a lot. Service has been good, the owners and staff are friendly and attentive. The only drawback is getting out of the parking lot if 1st Street is busy as cars are coming fast as they are getting off the freeway and at rush hour both directions it can be challenging to get onto 1st. read more
