Awesome brewery AND full service restaurant right off Warrenton Rd (17) here in South Stafford/Fredericksburg. Family friendly, tons of different specials and activities during the week. Plenty of outside space for Cornhole or just hanging out. They are working on a bigger parking lot which is excellent! They have happy hours and lunch specials. Live music, dungeons and dragons tournament, all kinds of activities. Food is fresh made in house. Wings are excellent and kids meals (see photo) are so nice I might order one next time!

Great, relaxed vibes at 6 Bears and a Goat. Our server was awesome and was very helpful splitting the tab for a large party. Great beer and really enjoyed the salad and the pretzel, too! Great homemade buttermilk ranch.

**3.5 A friendly and unassuming spot. I was seated right away and had snappy service at the bar. This was great as I was in a hurry. I enjoyed the Old Dominion IPA. A pretty solid hazy hoppy offering. I really wanted to try the Black IPA. For food I went with and order of 12 wings. The wings were huge, which was a good thing, but I probably should have stuck with six. Overall an enjoyable experience. The place had 20 or so other people in it in the middle of a holiday Monday.

We decided to take our 2 adult sons, and one of their girlfriends here, who were visiting from out of state. 6 Bears and a Goat" had a live band playing outside on Saturday night for Memorial Day weekend, and immediately upon walking in, my middle son was pleased with the establishment. He loves a good brewery, and liked everything about the tavern. We had a lengthy wait for outdoor seating, but we sat outside listening to music, while we waited for a table. They all ordered some specialty brews, and also ordered a flight. My husband had a mixed drink that he really enjoyed. Dinner was great! The first time we were there, I ordered the fish, and wasn't a fan. But the burger my husband and I split this time, was really good (we got a BYOB with bacon and cheddar). We also ordered the bacon and cheese covered fries, and a side salad (was highly impressed with their side salad). Everyone else also got burgers. Two had sweet potato fries, and another of our party got regular. Server was fantastic; polite, professional, and pleasant! Definitely made up for the day we had! We didn't shut the place down; we all decided to call it a night after hanging out there for about 4 hours or so, but we enjoyed ourselves. Veteran owned, pet friendly, family friendly.

Very good. Nice place , if it was a little less hot I would enjoy the outside area. The food is food and the waitstaff were great.

I came here with my wife and best friend before a Fredericksburg Nationals game and we were very impressed! The area with tables was reserved so there was a long wait but we found some space the beer. tried many of their beers in samplers in a ship anchor shaped flight and one other on draft that was a fruit sour. We took some beer home and love the fact they are the official craft beer of the Fredericksburg Nationals and make some exclusive beers for them. We would love to return and would also love it if they built a second location in or around D.C. as it is a great brewery that supports veterans.

I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, so we tried a few different things on the menu. Everything was so wonderful! We came on Sunday for brunch, and it was kind of busy, but our server Stephanie was amazing and actually, the food came out pretty quick. My teenagers devoured their sandwiches -- and the nachos -- and the wings were perfectly crispy. The beer cheese was excellent.

Food was good, beer was good. Live music was loud inside (couldn't hear each other across the table) but they offer seating outside as well.

    Ask the Community - 6 Bears & A Goat

Is this place back to normal operations post-Covid?

6 Bears has made a huge stride in returning to normal operations. Their beer has always been top-notch, though their food and service definitely took a major hit. I have not been here in over a year due to an abysmal last visit.… Read more

He took the time to explain everything in detail, which gave a great appreciation for how much goes into making their bourbon. After the tour, we had the opportunity to taste several of their bourbons, which was definitely a highlight. Each one had its own unique flavor profile, and it was a fun and engaging experience to compare them. Overall, a great stop if you enjoy bourbon and want to learn more about the craft. Just be prepared for a slightly longer tour, but it is worth it for the knowledge and tasting experience.

We had a bit of time to browse the store before the tour started. The tour was about an hour and included a free tasting. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and led us through the history of Virginia's oldest distillery. He was a bit hard to understand and talked VERY fast, which made it tough to absorb much of the info. However, for a free activity I enjoyed it. The best part of course was the tasting at the end. We were led through how to taste the spirits and given water and crackers as palate cleansers. We tried one of their gins, two bourbons, and the caramel bourbon cream liqueur. The bourbon cream was delicious and so smooth! I really liked the gin as well. We all ended up buying at least one bottle, so I'd say it was a success.

They did a phenomenal job creating such a magical atmosphere--I honestly wish they could keep the decorations up all year . While waiting for our table, we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered cocktails. I had the prickly pear margarita, and she ordered a cider sour. Both were fantastic, though I wish the bar had mentioned the holiday cocktail menu earlier. I didn't learn about the festive drinks until we were seated and our server, Lindsay, walked us through the winter specials. The "Sweater Weather" cocktail sounded amazing (white tequila and coconut milk ) and is definitely something I'll be back to try. We stuck with our go-to appetizer, the goat cheese bruschetta, which was delicious as always. For entrées, we went classic brunch: the hangover burger and the shrimp and grits. My girlfriend loved her burger, and Sedona's shrimp and grits remain one of my absolute favorites--perfectly seasoned and cooked. Even though we were full, we couldn't pass up the seasonal dessert, tiramisu. It was the perfect size--just enough to share without pushing us over the edge. Lol. Another successful meal at Sedona! The service is consistently top-notch, and our server Lindsay was hands down the best--knowledgeable, attentive, and with an amazing personality. We loved her so much, we wished she could've joined us for brunch. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us, which we really appreciated. If you haven't experienced Sedona yet, you are seriously missing out. And definitely ask to sit in Lindsay's section!

Free street parking nearby was easy to find. If you have a private event, you go to the back of the restaurant at the right and down some stairs. The private event room felt very bachelor den-like in a good way. There were leather seats surrounding the room and a tiny bar with a bartender to make us drinks. We were able to order whatever drink we wanted on the menu. For food, they brought trays out buffet style. We tried a variety of things. The star of the show was the Brussels sprouts. They were cooked to perfection and had a great sweet sauce. I enjoyed the salad too. They also brought out wings, mini burgers, mini fried chicken sandwiches, and tuna. Some were overcooked, but the flavor was nice. The seating was a bit awkward for a group our size in the private room, but we made it work. It was nice how casual it was.
