Located in a strip mall in Baldwin Park. The space is clean and is a decent size/ has a decent amount of seating. The place feels family owned / operated - the folks were super friendly. Was able to sit right away on a Friday night. The menu was more expansive than I expected (surprisingly so since the place has pho in the name), but I'm not complaining! Everything looked pretty darn good, but I was here for the pho, especially since it was kinda cold and rainy outside. The pho - I ordered the pho tai chin (or with brisket and rare steak) - was really tasty! Loved the broth and the portion was pretty large. I've only tried veggie pho and I have to say that it is the best pho I have ever tried. I usually get it with beef broth, it has so much flavor. The tofu is fried and just gives it that extra flavor. This is a hidden gem!!! The good here is amazing!!!! I'm not even talking about the Pho but everything else on the menu is so flavorful and fresh. We ordered Jalapeño chicken with fried rice, the pork chop with egg and fried rice , and the scrumptious pork egg rolls. Hands down the best pork egg rolls I ever had . They were fresh and crispy and the pork was flavorful and didn't taste frozen or old. The Jalapeño chicken was abundant and not lacking in flavor. Tender and delicious. Yummy! Giant portions for a great price! I'm always weary of places that seem too good to be true, but this pace definitely is great bang for your buck. Servers are super attentive and stay at the cash register making sure that you alway get the things you need. There are 3 entrees which are vegan you can order: Tofu Spring Rolls, Vegetable Pho and Vegetables Chow Mein I ordered the Tofu Spring Rolls and Vegetable Pho. The spring rolls (grilled tofu, lettuce filling) and peanut sauce. It was fine. Peanut sauce gave it a sweet flavor. The Vegetable Pho (broccoli, carrots, cabbage, bean spouts) was very fresh. The soup base was natural from the vegetables. Adding Hoisin and Chili Sauce gave it a little flavor. My server's name was Kim. She shared with me this is her family business and their very first restaurant. All the staff were very nice and accomodating. 4 Stars for food. Not a large selection of vegan. My wife found this restaurant on Yelp while in Baldwin Park and asked me if I wanted anything. I told her to get me the Com Thit Nuong (steam rice with grilled pork). When I came home from work about 6 hours after she ordered, the food in the container was warm, which surprised me because I expected it to be cold. After heating up the food, I took a bite into the grilled pork. The pork was still moist, tender, and the lemongrass flavor just exploded in my mouth. I can't remember another restaurant where they made grilled pork this flavorful. I tried my wife's bun bo hue and it was packed with flavor too. We dined in a couple of times as well as ordering takeout. We've tried other dishes and almost all of them were hits (pho, bun bo hue, spring rolls, bun thit nuong or grilled pork vermicelli). The only one that wasn't a hit for me is the com bo luc lac (diced filet mignon with rice) because it lacked flavor. Every time I come here, I'm always tempted to order something different, but I can't get myself to. I always fall back to any dishes with grilled pork because it is just that delicious. The couple times we dined in, the staff was really friendly and attentive. The interior of the restaurant was clean and spacious. They share a parking lot with multiple businesses so we never have trouble looking for a parking spot. This has become one of our go to spots when we're craving Vietnamese food. read more
