I haven't been here for over 10 years, and I have to be honest, I'm not sure if it's the same owners or the same pho restaurant. My fiancée was feeling under the weather, so we thought some warm pho would help. We've been to quite a few pho shops and wanted to give this spot a visit. Let's say it wasn't hard to get a table here and the service is just ok. But the reason for the low score is for the pho. The broth tasted a little off and the noodles were over cooked. I really don't get how they have such a high rating. Maybe it's the demographic they serve. I was hoping to get an avocado smoothie but got denied that order. Overall, I don't think I'd come here again and wouldn't recommend it. There are too many great options in the area to settle.

Great service. Quiet place. Perfect to relax during lunch. I had honey walnut shrimp. A little different from what I'm used to but it was good. There were so many things I'd like to try but would need to come with a group so I can "share".

I've been coming here since I was a little kid, and I swear by it to this day. It's truly one of the best hidden gems and pho spots you'll ever try! Coming from a traditional Vietnamese family, I can say the pho here tastes incredibly authentic as it's rich, has flavorful broth, solid portions, and great prices. Beyond the pho, they have a wide range of dishes from rice plates to spring rolls and vermicelli noodles, plus a great selection of drinks. My family and I come here almost every week, and the staff is always super friendly, attentive, and quick on their feet. The interior is consistently clean, and you can tell the team works hard to keep everything running smoothly. If you're looking for delicious, traditional Vietnamese comfort food, this spot never misses!

I ordered the Pho Dac Biet ($14.99). That's the House Special Pho with Ribeye Steak, Brisket, Tendon, Flank, and Beef Ball. When I bit into its meat, my eyes widened. It's extremely tender and fresh! I stared at my pho in amazement before promptly devouring it. There's integrity at 626 Pho (Baldwin Park). I arrived at 626 Pho (Baldwin Park) on Monday (around 7PM). Its plaza had plenty of parking. The location is unassuming, but I felt somewhat taken aback at its high popularity. 626 Pho (Baldwin Park) had nonstop customers for to-go and dine-in. Staff is courteous. Their interaction is minimal; however, staff efficiently guided me to a seat. A friendly male staff member had eventually noticed me, and he took my order. I ordered the #17 Pho Dac Biet ($14.99). The food arrived in eight minutes and four seconds. As alluded to, I happily enjoyed my #17 Pho Dac Biet ($14.99). This pho is unique. I felt myself blink in shock as its meat fell apart in my mouth. These felt like fresh cuts from a good Korean BBQ. Next, its noodles arrived hot, hefty, & springy. And its broth tasted light, clean, and gentle. I felt my happiness surge exponentially with each bite. "IT'S SO DELICIOUS!" I'd scream! Regarding ambiance, 626 Pho (Baldwin Park) is clean, spacious, and well-ventilated. There were many shiny tables. Customers wore very casual clothing (one even wore pajamas), and many dine-in customers appeared to be locals. 626 Pho (Baldwin Park) had two flat screen TVs. One played the news on mute (with no english captions or subtitles) which was unhelpful. Another played music but it had intermittent commercial ads. This location favors functionality; it's not upscale. If I had to nitpick, its mirror even had a somewhat eery smudgy look. Regardless, the location is clean and welcoming. Overall, 626 Pho (Baldwin Park) is one of my top pho locations in SGV. Its unassuming and almost generic appearance makes its fresh & high-quality pho that more bewildering. This hidden local gem is popular for a good reason. It's a must-try! 5 out of 5. GO!!!

We have never been treated so rudely by the staff here before. My friends and I walked in, and the employee with the glasses slammed the menus down on our table without saying hello or acknowledging us, then immediately walked away. At first, we gave him the benefit of the doubt and laughed it off because we're regulars and figured he might just be having an off day. Unfortunately, his attitude remained rude and dismissive throughout our entire visit even slamming the menus on the counter when he went back AFTER we ordered. We're genuinely disappointed because we've always had positive experiences here, which is why we keep coming back. This visit was completely out of character for the service we've come to expect, and we hope this feedback is taken seriously so future guests don't have a similar experience.

Service was nice and overall fast but it was not the most flavorful veggie pho that i've had and def not the best pho within the sgv.

Came here on a rainy day wanting to warm up with some pho. Immediately we were seated and left with some menus. Looked over it a few minutes then they came to check if we were ready. We ended up ordering some springs rolls, beef bahn mi, and. Ribeye and brisket pho. Everything came out in a timely manner. Food was great, everything was so refreshing. Nice hot broth, fresh and crisp veggies. They also kept refilling our waters. Service was spot on! Definitely a good spot for comfort food. The inside was also clean and organized. Lots of seating available. Would 10/10 recommend

Dinner with the fam, brought them to try Pho for the first time!

Brought my family here to try pho for the first time! I've had pho before but this was my first time at this restaurant. I chose this place since it is located across the street from us so it was convenient. We (party of 6) showed up about 20min before closing time, we were welcomed and sat down right away. Although it was soon closing time, not once did we feel rushed or pressured. The staff was very attentive and helpful when it came to ordering our food and drinks which was very nice of them. Everyone ended up ordering pho along with cream cheese filled ragoons and it was all delicious! Everything seemed fresh and made to order. We will definitely be coming back again soon. If you're looking for a good pho place, this is the one.

My boyfriend is a huge fan of 626 pho! We always come on a cloudy day or as soon as we feel a cold coming and feel so much better. Staff is always kind and serves fast, can never go wrong with pho, tea, and spring rolls ! Good music always & very clean between customers.

Good pho. Food was pretty straight forward. Pho was good, shaken beef was flavored well with lots of onions, and egg rolls came out fresh from the fryer. The staff were very nice. Seating is at a table or booth. The space is child friendly. Parking is inside a plaza. Saturdays around 12 pm was very busy.

Once coming in we are greeted with open arms and choose were we want to sit. The food is amazing everything is homemade and on the spot. They also have coffee, teas, boba and different types of soupThe employees are super nice and friendly. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. The prices are very affordable. I would come again this is my favorite pho place in the 626 area.

Rating: 7.8/10 Solid, clean, no-frills pho place. We actually drove about 20 minutes to come here specially since 626 Pho was rated highly on Yelp. I'm on the search for my favorite pho place in the 626! We came around 6PM on a Saturday night. There were about 5 groups dining it, not busy at all and we got to choose where we sat. The service was quick and efficient. We ordered and received our food within 5 minutes of ordering. Bf got pho #21 with rare steak and brisket, and I got #22 with rare steak and beef balls. The soup is moderately rich and savory, not overly oily. Clean and hot broth. Noodles are slightly thinner than I prefer and were also clumped together when we first got our food. I prefer mine a little on the al dente or less cooked side as well. However, the food hit the pho craving I had, especially on a cold windy night. Overall, a very solid bowl of pho but not the best I've ever had for my personal taste. I probably wouldn't make the drive to come here, but I could see myself coming if I were in the area! I recommend you come try 626 Pho if you're around!

    Thai ice tea, really good

I been here 2 times. First time was with my mom and the service was slow, there was 3 young ladies and they didn't speak a word of English besides the basics. They forgot my drink, and they didn't understand when I asked for a certain items. There wasn't even that many customers, after 12 minutes of no water or drinks or food, my mom was about to get up and leave, then I said a couple more minutes, if nothing shows up then we leave. Finally she brought out our egg rolls then the combo pho but they forgot our drinks, a cup of hot water for my mom and a Thai ice tea for me. I reminded her and she apologized and brought them out. Even though the food was good, I didn't want to come back or write a review for them because of how slow the service was. It was a new pho restaurant and we thought of trying it out. That happened a couple of months ago and last week I decided to go back and tried them again by myself to see if it improved. To my surprise, it did improve, they have a couple of young guys working instead and they speak pretty good English. The food came out quickly and it tasted good, the pho broth was flavorful, the egg rolls was steaming hot and crispy, it has just the right amount of seasoning. As I was enjoying my food, I heard this one waiter kept talking loudly and usually I don't minded it but he was loud, the other 2 was more respectful by not saying much. He was louder than the music. We may not understand Vietnamese but please have some respect for your customers who are eating at your restaurant, we want to enjoy and concentrate on our food not listening to his jokes. I probably come back with my father, he wants to try a new place also but with the atmosphere here, I'm not sure if he'll like it compared to the one at the Haven City in West Covina. We'll see. There's plenty of parking, Dollar Tree is right next door for all your convenience shopping, and Chinese bbq, and other shops, even a massage parlor, yeah lol and if you're near by, I recommend coming here for a nice bowl of pho, their food is pretty good too.

However, if you want to try something a little different, there are some "traditional" Kaiping specialties that I haven't seen on menus anywhere else. I've always come with my family and have received great service because my dad knows the staff. They speak my home dialect so I'm sure there's some bias there. Foodwise, I've tried quite a bit and haven't had any dishes that didn't hit the mark for me. Standouts for me are the big claypot yellow eel rice, their specialty roast goose (the 2 dishes just listed may require a preorder but again, my dad usually handles all the ordering), their beansprout with pig intestine, and their egg plant with salted fish. The claypot rice is ordered by the kilo so really is a big party dish but has nice succulent pieces of eel, really well cooked rice, and then of course the crispy rice at the bottom. The goose is very flavorful and not super gamey, it has more of a meaty texture and bite than the younger poultry an American pallette may be used to so word of warning. I really like the beansprout with pig intestine, again not really gamey but very savory with very tender, fatty pieces of intestine (highly recommend even if you're hesitant with intestine). The eggplant with salted fish is also intensely savory with a pungency from the salted fish that may seem like a lot but melds really well with the sauce and overall flavor of the dish. Though I haven't tried every dish on their menu, I've tried quite a bit and can confidently say they'll bring out some tasty Chinese dishes.

Usually beef is tough in this type of noodle dish at other places. The flavors were legit..not too sweet or salty just right! It's really hard for me to find good Asian food in Baldwin Park so I was pleasantly surprised when we stumbled upon this place. Highly recommend. Our server was a Chinese lady..probably didn't speak much of English and didn't come across as friendly but to be honest that's how you know the food is going to slap when you have a waitress with the meanest RBF...so don't be alarmed just know food is going to smack! LOL It's located in a very random place but there's plenty of parking. It's pretty laid back but I would say can be good for large groups. It's not too loud or rowdy at all.

I think that the family style aspect struggles a bit due to a lack of table space/lazy Susan. My party was sat at the very back, near the kitchen, so it was almost unbearably hot. The kung pao chicken had a great savory flavor with just the right amount of kick and a good crunch from the peanuts, while the orange chicken had a really good, tangy sweet glaze to it. The minced chicken lettuce wraps were fresh and super flavorful, and the egg drop soup was pure comfort in a bowl and came out piping hot. The absolute standout was definitely the deep fried fish fillet. The batter was super light and airy, and the fish inside was perfectly flaky and tender. We paired it all with the vegetable lo mein, which was loaded with veggies and the noodles weren't mushy at all, which is always a win. Portions are good, everything feels fresh, and it definitely hits the spot. We have been dining here for years and will continue to do so!

Staff (name on receipt - Yaya) is helpful and hardworking. Yaya answered all my questions, and Yaya moved quickly. I ordered the King Steamed Meat Bao ($9.14 - 3pc) and 10 Won Bread ($5). The food was ready in 14 minutes and 54 seconds. The 10 Won Bread has three filling choices: mozzarella cheese, custard, or red bean. I selected the custard filling. The 10 Won Bread had a thin, crisp, and crunchy outer crust; its similar to a finely toasted waffle. Its inner layer is very soft and spongey. Breaking apart this toasted pastry, hot & gooey custard cream bursts forward. I enjoyed the sensation and mild-sweetness of this sticky, flowing liquid. The King Steamed Meat Bao also tasted freshly made. It avoids being dry; rather, its bun is supple, buoyant, and springy. Its filling tastes fresh and slightly savory. Its mashed meat and diced glass noodles add a pleasant bounce. Although the filling lacked any memorable taste, I appreciated how the filling wasn't salty. The King Steamed Meat Bao's filling reminded me of freshly mashed meatball. Regarding ambiance, it's nonexistent at Cr8zy Bao (West Covina). The location is a food stand in a market. Thankfully, its counters and floors are clean. Also, I felt safe since a security guard is stationed by the entrance. Fortunately, there's plenty of indoor and outdoor tables to use since it's connected to the Haven City Market. Bright, bubbly music appeared around 10AM; however, it was silent prior. Overall, Cr8zy Bao (West Covina) is a good experience. If you like baos and dumplings, this location is a solid choice. The portions are filling; the food is fresh; and its cooks put visible care into their items. 4.5 out of 5

The lady at the counter that took my order didn't speak any English. When I got my hotteok order,…read morethere was only one but the menu says there are 4. When I asked she had only charge me for a single one which was fine but another worker had to come check the order for me and explain the mix up. Got the cold noodles, I liked that the ice added to the noodle was iced broth so it didn't water down the soup. There's no meat at all, just cucumber, radish and half an egg. The noodles were gummy and stuck together in a giant clump which made it hard to eat. For $17 with no meat and overly soft noodles, this was not worth it. The cheese coin was a total disappointment. It was mostly mochi like breading and very little cheese that didn't have any pull to it. Not sure what cheese they used but it's not anything like the ones in Korea. The hotteok was the biggest disappointment and I'm glad they messed up and only charged me for one. It came like the cheese coin which was my first inkling something is wrong. The inside was also mostly mochi chewy bread with a very thin layer of something that is only a little bit sweet. Absolutely nothing like a real hotteok and did not look anything like the picture on the menu. This is a one and done for me.
