This sucks in the first place because I live 30 minutes away and now have to spend another hour in the car, but because of what was offered I decided it was worth it. I called in and the person I spoke with said they'd swap it out for a Playstation that is a level above the one I purchased for $10-$20 more.. The reason for this is that they thought they were out of the level of Playstation I bought. when I arrived the manager reneged on the offer, and said I'd have to pay the full difference for the better Playstation. They found they did have one left that was the same as mine. FINE. That is okay. Reneging is not okay as a business, but giving me the same thing if you have it is okay. However the manager said I needed to pay again for the warranty on the new one.. THIS IS A PAWN SHOP. Things are negotiable. It would have been nothing for her to take off the amount of the warranty and allow me to leave with an okay experience.. Instead she wanted to suck every dollar she could out of me. After spending 2 hours in the car dealing with this, and being sold a bad system.. You just can't do a single thing for me? I would have never drove all the way back there had I known I'd be spending more money on the exact same thing. My girlfriend is moving in 2 weeks and needs a new tv. I was planning on buying it from this place, but that is not happening now. Just really bad business, and I could see this is the type of place to get you for everything they can. Not concerned with repeat business.

In a word: Timorous I understood that I might only be offered $300-$400 for a gold ring with a 1ct round center and some other stones around it, but they instantly acted like I expected $3,500 or more and were insanely defensive without even asking me what I hoped to receive. In the end, they didn't even make me an offer at all and hurried me out of the door. Another pawn shop that I went to later spoke well of the owner when I told my story to him, so I'm sure they aren't always so bad, but I'll never return.
