    sesame shrimp tacos
    Julie Ying X.

I came here for dinner with my family on a Saturday night. It was near our hotel and highly rated so why not. The food was interesting, fusion but no specific cuisine. I ordered the scallops. My family ordered the burger, the shrimp tacos, the tuna, and the crab empanadas. The portions were a bit small but the dishes all tasted great. Service was excellent, helpful and friendly. It's a nice place for dinner if you want something more upscale in town.

Server was really nice, attentive and helpful with our selections. Plenty of seating and seated promptly for our reservation. The crab empanada was very good, so were the roasted oysters. The duck was a standout for me, cooked perfectly, the crispy skin was delicious! Had a great experience here, highly recommend.

I like the location. It is in the middle of what is Montauk but tucked away enough to need the address to find it. Inside is a nice modern layout. It feels new, clean, and open enough where you are not on top of each other. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty. The STREET CORN - honey-roasted corn, tajin, lime aioli, cotija was a great rendition of a new favorite of mine. The BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER - house slaw, avocado-coconut purée was, however, an odd version of something I have found better everywhere else I have been. I really enjoyed the CRISPY DUCK LEGS - buttermilk braised, honey-roasted carrot, tahini-soy glaze, fennel, granny smith apple. They were indeed crispy, but not so much to distract from the flavor and enjoyment of the entire dish. The big miss for me, beyond the buffalo cauliflower, was the menu itself. I feel I played it out to the point where something major would need to change for me to come back. Prices are high and though the smash burger, for example, looks interesting, for $32 I am going to find something elsewhere to explore.

First time dining at South Edison. It was recommended to me by a friend. The staff were friendly and professional. They made you feel like they were there for you. Great starting point by offering a creative, delicious and wide variety of cocktails. My group went with ordering several appetizers. Some of the apps that stood out were the fried olives (I never had fried olives. Which were good.), Crispy Rock Shrimp (Delicious! Better than shrimp.), Duck Fat Fries, Lamb Empanadas (S. Edison hit this one out of the park! Mmmmm Mmmm) and the Buffalo Chicken Bites ( the sauce was outstanding!). If you're ever in the neighborhood and you want some delicious and creative cocktails and good food. This is one of those places you need to try.

We go to South Edison every summer while vacationing in Montauk, best food in Montauk imo!! I spend all year thinking of their seared scallop dish which is to die for. We also love the fluke sashimi and tuna ceviche for apps. For entrees standouts are the scallops, seared tuna, pork chop parm, duck legs and burger. Cocktails are well-crafted and delicious too! I can't wait until next year!

A really cute and modern spot here in Montauk. It had a cool and chilled vibe here. We had friendly bartenders and waitstaff at the bar. The food was decent, we both ate light and split two dishes. I had the buttermilk braised duck legs and I had some kale. My friend enjoyed his cocktails here too.

My second time here and it really is one of the best restaurants in Montauk. Started with a refreshing, fruity cocktail. Loved the taste of my perfectly cooked and flaky fluke over a bed of corn succotash (delicious mushrooms). Amazing flavors. Great service. Cute ambiance.

The food was amazing as well.. I never had to ask for a knife and fork for a Hot Dog before, but didn't want to unhinge my jaw to take a bite!- it was righteous !!! the Watermelon puree margarita was my go to drink and I appreciated the lemon/lime water stations inside and out to pace myself from overdoing it.. it helped that the weather was perfect too on the Saturday I went. The delicious and reasonably priced food was a forerunner to soak up her incredible award-winning cocktails, most made with Lynn's own proprietary brand of naturally infused spirits, like Lynn's hula juice. Lynn herself is warm and welcoming, getting to know everyone on a first name basis. She makes everyone feel like a regular, whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth. The whole place is simply the old Montauk magic, beach party energy that's hard to find anywhere else. like her cocktail book, "Tiki with a twist", it's tropical and laid back- a magical go to get a way.

Truly, the cocktails and menu at this restaurant are so inventive and flavor packed it feels as if there has to be something supernatural happening in the kitchen and behind the bar. We came here in early May and sat at the bar. Dillon took great care of us, walked us through the menu and made stellar recommendations all around. After having my mind blown by the Everything Bagel Martini, we moved on to share the charred octopus and Leggy's Thighs. The charred octopus was tender, and paired so well with the citrus fruits on this plate, plus the bite of pistachios?! So well put together. Leggy's thighs (RIP Leggy) were literally the best chicken I'd ever had, fall off the bone tender and topped off with flavorful furikake and hot pickled fresno chilis. We also split the Wagyu sando which I'm literally still thinking about. Wagyu on milkbread?! What an excellent idea. Live acoustic music was going on the night we were here which really added to the cozy ambiance. They also have trivia here on Thursdays (Dillon, if you're reading this, we hope your team wins the championship). 10/10 no notes. Come here if you can get a table.

Well it was quite a disappointment! The sauce had no flavor at all and needed a lot of sauce. What makes a shakshukah great is a nice runny yoke! My friend got a semi runny yoke and I got over cooked well-done egg which was the last straw. I ate it and kept my mouth shut but I would not recommend. Not to mention that the dish was very expensive for what it is. My wife's egg sandwich was OKAY, and the only thing that looked pretty good was someone's scrambled eggs and bacon. Next time I'm in Montauk I will be skipping this place.

Everything tasted incredibly fresh. I started with the fluke sushi, which I'd never tried before, and it was delicious. (I wish I could accurately describe sushi/fish in better detail, but I can't so just trust me on this one!) For my main course, I ordered the hot lobster roll, and as an avid lobster roll-lover, it did not disappoint. The lobster was served in generous, chunky pieces with just the right amount of butter. It came with fries that were perfectly crispy, though I do wish they had been seasoned a bit more. The restaurant overlooks the inlet, making it the perfect spot to relax and watch the boats come and go. The staff was welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. They also played great music -- that particular day they were playing country music (a southerner's dream!). Last but not least, another bonus is the location. There are several charming little shops just steps away, making it easy to browse before or after your meal. My biggest fear is it's going to be super crowded the next time I'm back in Montauk and I won't get a table.
