My friend and I meet up every couple of months for breakfast, and we decided to try this family-owned restaurant . We both agreed this was probably the best breakfast we ever had. My friend ordered a special consisting of spiral ham, two eggs, home fries, and toast. I had a three-egg, bacon, and cheese omelette with home fries and toast. Portions were huge, and everything was delicious. They have plenty of options on their menu, and our food came out quickly after ordering. Adorable restaurant with excellent food and we will be back. Only reason we didn't give it a 5 was the service. All other waitstaff were great but ours was not. Hoping it was just an off day for the person but we were ignored from the time we arrived. Waiting forever to get the specials menu and then for her to return and take the order and seemed bothered to have to do that. Then we never saw her again after getting our food. Hoping for a happier, attentive waitstaff next time because the food is so good and we will be back often. read more

Amazing Restaurant! One of the best family owned restaurants that I can ever remember going to. Everyone is so friendly & attentive to all your needs and desires when it comes to incredible food. We were treated like royalty. Gorgeous flower arrangements on all the tables. So clean and well decorated. I tryed a sample of all the soups. All of them were simply delicious. Then sampled the calamari, which was simply amazing. The daughter that waited on us was such a sweetheart. There were so many delicious items on the menu. I had trouble deciding on which to get. She recommended the French dip and told me her brother had the meat in the smoker for 10 hours. The best I've ever had, the beef was so tender and juicy. Such a delight, dipping it in the Aujus. It was truly the best French dip I've ever experienced. I live in New Jersey and I come up to see my sister every four or five weeks and without a doubt it's my favorite restaurant to go to. We've have had consistently good experiences there as we've started going more in recent months. Nice and bright (renovated in recent years), variety of seating (booth, table, counter). Family-owned/run. The kids are big fans, which always makes it a win for us (crayons & paper activity placement available). Breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, western omlette, philly cheesesteak, french onion soup, burgers/fries/onion rings, triple deckers, tried all the kid's meals, so far so good! THIS is the place. We live in New Haven, and drive past a lot of restaurants to get to Country Corner. They're worth it. They have amazing staff and consistently great food, often locally-sourced. They really do make their own desserts (which include both the best APPLE PIE and the best GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE we've ever had). For breakfast, order the HARVEST PANCAKES and EGGS BENEDICT. They have other, probably equally wonderful choices -- I just keep ordering my favorites. We've literally never had a bad meal here, or felt we overpaid for the food we got. Went to the restaurant for thanksgiving with six people on a reservation.The food came out cold.The food didn't come out together.Received food one piece at a time.By the time I received the stuffing, the rest of the meal was cold had to return the plate to get warmed up. A little pricey for breakfast but most anyplace is today. Eggs were very fresh and food well prepared. They forgot cheese in my broccoli and cheese omelet ( I didn't even notice) and they offered to replace it. It was so good and fresh without it I passed on the cheese. My husband took me here today for lunch. He's been here a few times with his brothers and he wanted me to try it out w him. He said I would like it. So right away we were greeted. The service was amazing. The waitresses were over the top polite. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area where we sat. I ordered vegan grilled cheese that came with avocado and tomato and I ordered a salad with balsamic dressing. Both were amazing, I tried some of my hubby's sweet potatoes fries and they were delicious! He said his chicken parm sub was good. The waitress asked if I'd like some vegan iced cream I said no thank you, I was so full. I went to the restroom and came back to my seat finding vegan mint chocolate chip iced cream on the table for me! It was on the house! Very nice of them. There's lots of space for larger parties too! Our server was polite friendly and made us feel like a regular customers. Coffee was excellent, one in the party is celiac and it was mentioned to our server which immediately knew exactly what we were talking about and rest assured us that they have GF options covered. (GF is also noted on the main sign out front) !! Ordered eggs and homefries and a western omelette, served up within minutes, both were excellent cooked to perfection and great portions, just plain delicious. Nice quiet atmosphere can actually have a conversation without yelling over people. Worth the trip from anywhere to enjoy a nice friendly delightful meal. Not only were the main dishes executed with perfection all the sides that came with our meals were carefully prepared and had the same finesse one might think grandma and her sisters were doing all the cooking back there. It is a family run business, (Sandy, Mo and Qazi , the nicest people you will ever meet) and the moment you walk in the door they make you feel like you are part of their family. The food is exceptional and the service is amazing. Everyone is incredibly attentive. The portions are always more than enough and the pricing is more than fair. I have eaten at many 5 star restaurants and none of them have anything over this place. I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and all of my experiences consistently exceeded my expectations. Many times when they ask for my order, I simply ask them to prepare what they would like and I am never disappointed. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant.
