The coffee just doesn't have the same flavor or quality it used to. Even the 8 oz cappuccino tastes much more like steamed milk than espresso, and the rich, bold flavor that made me love this place seems to be missing. I'm not sure if it's the beans, the roasting, or the way the drinks are being prepared now, but I genuinely hope the owners take a fresh look at it. This used to be one of the best coffee shops in the entire DMV. Unfortunately, based on my recent visits, I don't think it would even make my top 10 anymore. TM specializes in Asian baked goods with really fun and creative twists. Every item feels thoughtful, unique, and beautifully made. You can tell there's a lot of care and creativity behind the menu. My personal favorites are the black sesame croissant and the mango sticky rice croissant. Both are incredible -- flaky, perfectly balanced, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical bakery. The flavors are bold but still comforting, and the pastries are always fresh. I've also really enjoyed getting to know the owner, Annie. She clearly puts her heart and soul into every product she makes, and that passion really comes through in the quality and creativity of the pastries.
