We walked out of there with a bag about as heavy as any meal we'd ordered wondering if they've made a mistake or if these are just garbage pastries we just bought. The pricing just felt unrealistically low for what we got. We took the goods home and ate them throughout the day, and into the next. Not a single complaint. In fact, why is this place seemingly not so big a deal? I think we made a scene with our excitement as we walked in and made a few laps, deciding what to get. We went to a lot of places and found a lot of great food while in the area, but I think this place was the most exciting find. We left on Easter Sunday, and figured we'd give the place a try. Mixt is a GREAT social venue; it has a huge U shaped bar that easily seats 25+ guests. The weekday and Sunday all-day happy hours offer some great prices on cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails. The bartenders are always friendly and attentive. Because the bar is so large, I've never had trouble finding a seat for my group of friends. Perhaps the best use of Mixt is as an event and meetup space; I've been to several gatherings and events here and have had a great experience every time. There is a second floor open space which is perfect for a group of 20+ folks. We've also set up impromptu events around the large bar area; there are so many seating options, it was easy to occupy 10-15 seats without monopolizing the space. Mixt also hosts some really great events; we've been for Halloween bingo and Christmas music bingo. They do a really great job of pulling the local community into their space to enjoy food, drinks, and togetherness. Parking can sometimes be tricky -- there is a small free parking garage that fits about 10 cars. If you're not part of the lucky 10, be prepared to park in the nearby neighborhood and walk a block or two. It's not the worst parking, but a larger garage would be useful.
