It's true. This 7-11 does have a surprisingly large selection of craft beer in the fridge section. When I first moved into the 'hood, I had to run down here for late night last minute cleaning supplies. Imagine my surprise when I opened up the fridge to get some drinks and saw the large selection of craft beer! This is the first time I saw Stone Arrogant Bastard in person, and I had to try it just for the name. This is like Galco of 7-11 for me. I love that even a 7-11 can have such personality. This is not your average 7-11, it actually has a decent beer selection and I was shocked when I saw some of my favorites like Westmalle. I admit the prices for them are kind of high but when I don't feel like driving to my usual spots to get belgian's I will just come by here for a quick return. On another note, the music is always interesting and the guy who runs this place must be a beer nut considering all the beer related magazines as well as beer goblets for sale. 2015 YELP 100 CHALLENGE - 063/100 This should've been an easy 5 stars, but unfortunately they have a dude working behind the counter who was more interested in flirting with some ladies than ringing up his actual customers. And there are a LOT of loiterers here. Some interesting ladies were seated in the parking lot, some dudes drinking out of bags layed out on the floor... may not be the ideal location to stop by for a slushy. read more

the most custom, tricked out 7-11 ever! not only do they carry many artisan beers, they also keep up a pretty heavy stock of soda's from galco's. the coffee bar in the back seems out of control and they always seem to have fresh fruit and a wide assortment of snacks that you wouldn't expect in a convenience store in highland park. read more

I hate this 711 just because everytime i try to use offers or get rewards the idiots behind the counter dont know what they're doing or do they just dont want us to get free stuff, idiots dont even know what theyre doing. I know this cuz my friend who happens to work for a corporate store knows these people dont know what theyre doing and franchise stores are never trained properly. And when i did try to use the app this guy had an attitude when i get his name i will update. I always try to avoid this store when using the app unless i come in for something simple and quick but i usually just go to other 711s. read more

This place is weird. They blast rock and metal music, yet the place is smack dab in the middle of Gangster Central, USA. I've seen some scary characters in there around midnight. But I've never had any problems. read more

this used to be the best seven eleven ever. Rare micro brews and cool music playing. they have been renovating it and I am not so sure now.

My favorite slurpy was Red color , I think, either strawberry or cherry. They now are having different flavors each month. This one was my favorite and many other people's favorite. Had to call 3 Seven Elevens before someone even gave me info. Other employees were rude. Well, do they really think I and others or going to check in every month. read more

Smaller, usually dirty location with a poorly stocked cigarette selection. If they're out of your brand the cashier will tell you that "they don't make them anymore". You will also get bitched at if you give them a coupon. read more

Pretty sure they don't put out the smaller hot dogs so that we're forced to buy the bigger, more expensive ones. Seems a little unfair. Otherwise this is a great 7/11 read more

I grew up in this town and I have always came to this 711. Unfortunately I will never return. I always buy playstation gift cards from this location. Until last week when I went in to buy a 20 dollar gift card to keep my playstation plus active. So I go in and buy it. Some middle eastern tall dark skin skinny dude charges me 20 bux, never activates the card ,and dosent give me a receipt. All he did was charge me for my money. So get home to redeem the code and playstation keep telling me that that card had no founds in it. So I call 711 and explain my situation to the guys that stole my 20 bux . All he said I have to wait for the manager to come back around. So I go right away to the store and he gets scared.. like he knows he did something wrong. He would not give me my money back or give me another card. He told me to come back the next day in the morning when the manager would be there. I went in the next day in the morning and found out that the manager that had just left I saw some guy named Jose that I know from the past there and he kind of just brought me off and tell me know you'll be here and since then they all just keep telling me that the managers never there he'll be here one day but I think they're covering up for their little friend that stole my $20 and I left the card with my info phone number address and everything and they said the manager would call me back never have I got a phone call I only got on the phone with the manager one day and that one day has like that's it I have never spoken to him I keep calling the place back and they say that he's in and out of the place that I would have to talk to the owner so I keep calling over and over again and now they're telling me that I have to call the card company which I think they're all covering up for their their little friend who could get in trouble for stealing money read more

Not very bright employee refused to cash my $2 winning lotto ticket. He said his boss told him to shut off the lotto machine at 8pm. I asked for further explanation since I had just used their machine to check my ticket and confirm that I had won $2. He pointed to the lotto sign that posted the cutoff times for buying tickets, he didn't seem to understand that those cutoff times were for buying tickets for a drawing that night and that didn't mean he was supposed to shut off the machine. He just played dumb and pretended not to understand and blamed his boss. Then another customer got impatient and tried to cut in front of me saying "Hey I don't have time for this, let me just pay for this and you can deal with your sh*t later." When I objected, the other customer and his companion, two large and threatening men started to verbally abuse me and physically intimidate me. All the while, the employee was laughing like he was just some bystander and not someone who was in charge of the store and the safety of those who enter the store. I felt threatened and unsafe, so I left. Aside from the fact that the only employee acts like a cashier monkey who has no authority over his store, I find the trend of playing dumb and blaming the boss at many locations that I've been to to be off-putting and insulting, and it reminds me why I do my best to avoid all 7 Elevens whenever I can. read more
