This is now the second time I've fallen for the taped-up beer case trick at this 7-Eleven. You grab a case that looks a little ripped but conveniently taped back together so you can carry it--get home, open it up, and surprise--one can is missing. The cases here are already overpriced, and now I'm convinced someone's running a quiet little scam. And even if they weren't, this place is like 99 degrees inside all the time. It's somehow hotter in here than it is outside, which is wild for LA. The vibe is chaos--Hollywood chaos. Be on your toes when you go in. There's a little table up front where they sell random stuff for a dollar, which is nice, but it doesn't make up for the missing beer or the heat stroke. Paid parking in that if you use this as a free lot, you pay for the towing fee. They have a parking attendant. Five minutes limit at 7 Eleven that's obviously unenforceable. No bathroom obviously. This is down the street from Salvation Army Youth Center/food bank so lots of homeless in the area I guess. Every business behind gates here. I'm not here to hang out anyway. NOT OPEN 24 HOURS. I Just went by to purchase water and a snack. Doors were propped open so walked in. Security guard, sitting on steps outside, yelled at me saying we are closed! At first didn't realise it was security, so I continued to walk in and he yelled again saying "we're closed!!" Not a big deal if they are not open 24 hours, but don't post saying you are. This just happened to me today y'all! I'm furious and trying to keep myself calm. So today I got denied entry into a 7-Eleven as soon as I walked to the door. Not for refusing to wear a mask because I had on my mask as I approached the door, but because I was black. The guy standing at the door is holding the door shut with a chain in his hand and yells at me, "Get the f... away from here!" As I stand outside, I clearly see white people standing in a line inside the store. Very unfriendly staff. Just called to ask about the why it's expired milk. He started to tell me but then said "we're really busy, you can come by here" and immediately plays on his phone. This is the very first time I walked into a 7-Eleven and had to pay for coffee first for the cashier to then hand you a cup to go make your coffee. Those cups should be at the coffee station like any other 7-Eleven across the country. Also after waiting to pay for my cup and head to the coffee, it's out. Here's the problem. They sell scratchers. Well, I brought one in, around 8 p.m. Tuesday eve that was a winner. Actually 2 scratchers that won $140 total. The cashier told me he had no money to pay them out. What? I said, but you sell them, what do you mean you can't pay for this. He told me I'd have to get replacement tickets instead of the cash. He tried a couple times to get me to exchange my winning tickets for more tickets instead of my money. I told him absolutely not, I wanted my winnings. If I had to, I would go elsewhere, but c'mon, you're selling these scratchers but you can't pay out a winning ticket for a hundred bucks? He did eventually pay me in all 5's. I highly doubt I'll go back there, not just because of the rough treatment from the cashier, but the area does not feel safe. I will say the security guard was terrific and at my request, he watched me recount and double check the cash paid out by the cashier. read more

I mean come on. It's 7-eleven. We've all been there and done that. It's the definition of convenience store! Craving an ice cold Slurpee and a microwaveable cheeseburger? They've got that. Desperately need to grab a box of condoms and a Red Bull at 3 a.m.? They can help you with that. Need beer and chips for the game on sunday? Well, they can handle that, too! Everything you need and nothing you don't. So yeah...we're all familiar with the 7-eleven experience. Approach building, most likely get asked for change, go in, grab what you need, pay the awkward employee who isn't mean but also isn't so great at making customers feel welcome, exit building, spare some change (or don't) and leave. Wow! that was a particularly telling experience! I wanted to buy a tuna sandwich and 4 Gatorades. The Gatorades were on sale 3 for $4. I asked the security guard (clue number one) where the microwave was so I could heat it. He said the clerk would heat it. (Clue number two.) That they don't trust people to be able to heat their own foods is clue number three. Forget it, I don't need someone over- under- heating it, much less to do it for me. I put aside the sandwich. When it came my time, I expected to pay about $5.25 (1,25 per, right?) No, he asked for $6.99. He wanted to charge 3 for $4 + 2.99 for the 4th one! Clue number four: dishonest, selfish clerks who want to gauge their customers. I walked away. Outside the store, was another customer who claimed she was being grossly defrauded with her food stamps. I listened to the recorded message from the food stamp for her account saying that she had just been charged $60 at the 7-11 even though she decided not to get anything there. I am grateful I did not spend any money there. I hope she sues, I hope she wins. I hope that this location goes out of business. Any retail place that has a security guard strongly implies that the service, policies, and management are compellingly underwhelming. This is true in this case. read more

I used to come to this 7/11 all the time. This part of town is super sketchy and I never really felt safe in here. There's a parking lot but it's usually full. I guess this 7/11 has a lot of what you'd need but don't expect any frills here. Get your ice cream and energy drinks and run for your life. read more

Terrible store.. The people that work there can't even read their own signs! They tried to discharge me for a 2for item, then when I called them on it and even walked these idiots over to their own signs showing the deal, they still didn't want to honor it. It's probably the worst run 7-11 in Hollywood.. The guys that work there are slow as shit, and their food in the display is always old and dried up. I can't give this place a worst review..
