I tried the Saigon Latte and the Signature Vietnamese Coffee. While neither drink was bad, neither really stood out to me. The beans seem to be of decent quality, but the coffee lacked the depth, complexity, and bold character that I typically associate with great Vietnamese coffee. I understand that condensed milk is a defining ingredient in Vietnamese coffee, and it's something I usually enjoy. However, I found both drinks noticeably sweeter than I prefer. I don't mind sweetness, but these leaned a bit too heavily in that direction for me, which ended up masking some of the coffee's flavor. That said, the café is located in a pleasant neighborhood and has a welcoming atmosphere. It's a comfortable spot to relax, meet friends, or work. Just took my first sip of my Pandan latte immediately had to write up a review. The Pandan latte is amazing! The brew is still nice and strong and pairs wait with the Pandan sweetener. Its flavor is certainly consistent with other forms Pandan of desserts I've had and this being my first time having it in a coffee is excellent. While my girlfriend and I were waiting for my drinks we got to read about their business owner and short but significant history. This business seems very popular and for good reason. Visited Nam Coffee on a quiet Saturday morning. Cashier was friendly and drink was prepared quickly. Love that it's clean, comfortable and have free WiFi here. Their menu had a couple interesting drinks i was deciding between but I went with my go-to classic Vietnamese egg coffee. I love that it was a perfect balance of creamy egg topping and strong bitter coffee. Each drink costs about $8 which is on the pricey side but usual for specialty coffee nowadays. It's clean and comfortable and the customer service is really nice. Bonus points for being vegan friendly. They even carry/sell condensed oatmilk! These were the drink I got: Signature Vegan ($7): Vietnamese coffee w/ condensed oatmilk. Definitely worth getting if you're vegan and haven't tried Vietnamese coffee b/c they've always used condensed milk. Unfortunately, it's not quite the coffee intensity I prefer. 4/5 stars Salted Cream Matcha Ube ($8.75 + $0.75): Subbed with oatmilk, but salted cream isn't lactose-free. This drink was surprisingly good. Very ube forward and not sweet. I ended up asking for a little sweetener, which perfected the drink. Saw this spot on tiktok and visited on a Saturday morning. It's on this cute little quiet street in Silverlake that I've never visited before, and there are a few cafes and restaurants that we were curious about. Nam has many options on the menu to choose from-- coffee, to matcha, and teas. When I go with my SO, we always opt for a coffee drink and a matcha to mix it up. I've had my fair share of egg coffee and pandan flavored drinks and that's what we ordered here to try. The egg coffee is a perfect balance of the strong, chocolate-y taste of Vietnamese coffee and sweet creamy egg topping. The pandan matcha was different than other ones I've had. It had a super bright pandan syrup that was still a really good punch of pandan and paired well with the matcha. While waiting for our drinks, I observed the cashier's interactions, she was so nice with everyone and the regulars that seem to often stop by. I love a good local spot!! read more

My cousin and I decided to give this place a try because we were in the area and actually wanted some Vietnamese coffee. Parking was a little tricky but we found a spot a couple blocks down and walked. I got the salted cream coffee and my cousin got the egg coffee. We both really enjoyed out drinks. The coffee was on a richer side and had a chocolatey after taste. Very smooth and velvety. Both drinks were on the sweeter side but it wasn't overly sweet. The pumpkin Vietnamese coffee was seasonal and I really enjoyed it! wasn't too sweet and balanced really well with the pumpkin foam. The salted cream matcha ube comes unsweetened, but you can add sweetener if you want. Their menu is huge with so many cool and interesting drinks, so I'd definitely come back to try more. Parking is street/metered only and seating inside is pretty limited. There's no bathroom, but they do have free wifi so you can still get some work done. I came here to do some work on an early Sunday morning and my experience here was pretty good. I ordered the egg coffee and it was strong! I do like my strong coffees haha. It had a good coffee flavor and I loved the egg cream top which was smooth and fluffy. The cream and the coffee also weren't too sweet which I liked. I also liked how it wasn't too icy, the perfect amount of ice. Mixed together, it was delicious. It is a bit pricey though at $8. The interior is nice and clean. There's also wifi and outlets which is why I decided to do some work here. However, I find it strange that they don't have an operating bathroom which is kind of a must for cafes. I ended up really needing to use the bathroom after my 3rd hour there, so I had to leave. This would not be the best spot to stay long-term if you need to use the bathroom. For parking, it's street parking only and the area does get pretty busy. I was able to find some street parking in a neighborhood area a block away. Overall, a good experience here and I would come back for the egg coffee or to try the other drinks. read more

Came here around 1:50pm on a Thursday. Pretty empty. You can come in and place the order through the cashier. The drinks came out pretty fast. The drinks were superb. The egg coffee is strong and the custard taste is awesome. The ube content is pretty good mixing with the coffee. I recommend the egg coffee more. The only thing with the banana matcha is that the bananas taste unripe, not that much banana flavor. More cream foam if anything. The place is a great place to study, pretty small though so I would imagine you would have to come at a later time or earlier depending on the days. Recommend! read more

It's a clean & small coffee shop in Little Armenia with fast & friendly service. Pandan latte - Yummy. Pretty. Refreshing. I would've liked a little more pandan, yes I have a sweet tooth haha. Coconut ube latte - Well balanced flavor, can't go wrong with ube tbh. My boyfriend's Filipino so he's always on the hunt for a good ube treat! Iced egg coffee - I came back to try this since I really liked egg coffee when I visited Vietnam. The iced version is not nearly as good as hot. It's a small coffee shop with some outdoor seating and a few seating areas inside. The smell is so intoxicating! We were greeted immediately by a barista who also showed us the vegan options. Bold brews with that one hundred percent grade one robusta is what's up over here! The first drink I ordered was the Signature Vietnamese Coffee with condensed milk and the slow dripped Phin filter method. If you don't know about this then you gotta check this out. Next was the Salted Cream Coffee with house made cream. Both of the drinks were on point and that Robusta was coursing through my veins like high octane to a sports car! I was on blast off mode! I got regular milk not sure if it will change the flavor much with oat. The Pandam was yummy it balanced great with the matcha both flavors were not overpowering each other.I've had other places that made Pandam matcha and the taste wasn't there. My bf got their house special Vietnamese coffee and it was also delicious. I would highly recommend this cafe ! Space is cute and lots of seating.
