    Welcome to Hollywood Coffee House.
    Carl N.

Hollywood Coffee House is a midsize corner Café on Hollywood blvd between Alexandria ave and Kenmore ave in a small plaza. They offer a wide variety of coffee, blended drinks, teas and juices as well as some pastries. Indoor layout was very spacious with a rustic design. Furthermore, they have a cute front outdoor seats for those who prefer a different view. I arrived one early Saturday morning and was amiably greeted by a female staff. I ordered a small Iced Coffee ($2) with milk. After taking a small sip, I was flummoxed on how ghastly it was in quality and taste. It's the worst iced coffee I ever had in my life. Thus, I threw it away immediately. I had high expectation from this coffee house given it's good reviews. However, having said that, they do have relaxing atmosphere and fast service. Prices were reasonable. Free parking available albeit limited. Staff was friendly and professional. Overall, I am reticent to recommend this cute coffee house.

When traffic is through the roof, I can count on this place to get work done until it dies down. There are plenty of tables, with ample amount of seating. There is also a few outlets to study and charge. There's outdoor seating as well. If you get hungry, they have snacks and desserts. I love their macaroons, their sliced wraps with a side of mustard, FRESHLY JUICED JUICES, and different iced coffees. They have the rare commodity of a parking lot and there's some street and metered parking. This place is the place to get really productive when in need. This mom and pop shop is an unfound gem in Hollywood and is the best place to get work done if and when you are in the area.

Please me mindful of parking your car here. The day I came to this coffee shop, I park my car in front of the souvenir store in the plaza. After leaving this place, I went straight home. Finding my left rear signal light has a hole and covered with duck tape. I remember when I was walking to my car, the owner of the coffee shop and water shop was sitting behind my car looking at me. Didn't think nothing was wrong there. CHECK YOUR CAR BEFORE LEAVING THIS PLACE. Surprisingly took a picture of my car that day before entering the cafe.

Decided to come in today and get a new thing besides some coffee, tried their new Arnold Palmer, comes in berry flavor or this vanilla peach flavor. I got the peach and it was so yummy and refreshing! It's sweet, not sour at all, perfect blend definitely recommend!

A beautiful rainy day here in Hollywood Blvd and I was in need of a studio key to be duplicated and no one was available after 3 attempts I find a key copy place and a coffee shop next to it and to my surprise it's owned by the key master and Arman was super nice and his daughter who made my coffee helped me out with getting me a not to strong coffee it's Austrian coffee and I absolutely fell in love with it!! They have almond, soy and oatmilk as milk options. I highly recommend this beauty of of a coffee house. It's so welcoming!!!

If someone has not been to this little coffee shop, please do. You won't regret it. Coffee and service gets better every time.

First impression: new Cafe with brand new (and nice) furniture and amenities, as well as a sunny patio located. It is located inside a small corner mall which provides a number of free parking spaces. Inside is spacious, bright, and clean. There is a small stage and the entire cafe is nicely decorated and provides a warm and friendly ambiance. Second impression: The place is run by two young sisters, both very friendly and create an attentive environment. Third impression: rather large amount of pastries, pies, and a variety of coffee drinks and freshly made juices Fourth impression: I tried a Citrus Boost (freshly made with Ginger, Apple, Orange, Lemon - no powder or sirup!) and the also freshly made LOCA Juice (Apple, Orange, Lemon, Cucumber). Both drinks were delicious and refreshing. I also ate a croissant (fluffy and fresh as it should be) and their homemade Napoleon pastry (very tasty and not too sugary). This place certainly beats every Starbucks and any coffee shop I know in the area. Very pleasant experience.

I cant explain what it is about their coffee, but it tastes so good. Definitely the best coffee I've ever had. I usually get the shaken espresso or the iced mocha, which are my absolute favorites. They have milk substitutes if you want non dairy milk. Also, their freshly made juices are very good. They make it right in front of you and it's so satisfying to watch! The staff is incredible and the customer service is always on point. The house has a very fool vibe and there are many tables where you can sit and study or work in a quiet place ! Definitely worth checking out ! Also, try their matcha !!

    Their sign was cute!

I stopped in on one of the hottest days of the summer and discovered this hidden gem on Sunset Blvd in artsy creative sunny Silver Lake, Los Angeles. I had heard of Naturewell and their locations (also in DTLA, on the go in their truck van for catering/events and in Altadena, formerly), but this was my first full experience trying a good variety including some of their awesome all natural snacks. I was greeted right away and got to take in everything including their extensive as well as growing collection of grab and good goodies, wellness shots and beverages. I wasn't feeling up to a bowl (definitely next time), but a Berrylicious smoothie and some truly awesome Gopal's Savory Pumpkin Seed Sprouties were the perfect mix. I went with the 20oz large size for my bev as it was a really hot day and only $1 more. My too cool for school Bar-rista even offered me a nice ice cold water while I waited as we bonded over that L.A. heat and humidity. They had some pickup orders and inquiring individuals passing by on the street and a few boxes to increase their shelf inventory. There's cute cozy chairs and tables out front, not to mention some space to enjoy their plants inside and that amazing AC. Eco friendly w/ easy cup carries for multiple drinks. They accept most forms of payment, including digital pay (Apple, Samsung, etc) and offer military discounts for those have served and/or are currently serving. Easy bike parking out front, local street parking and very close to metro stops as well as not more than 20 minutes from metro stations. Outside area in front is fairly open and pup friendly. Come fell the well/wellness of Naturewell.

So to encounter what I did in the midst of that was disheartening. Basically, I came in and was not greeted at all. I waited. I waited. Then, I moved closer to where the barista was working. Still nothing. Then, a man comes in and the same barista greets him. Turns out the man was picking up an order. Same as me. But he was likely with Uber Eats or Door Dash. After he took care of that man...mind you greeted, got his order and bid him ado...he still didn't attend to me. So, I finally greet him: Hi, how are you doing? I'm here to pick up a to-go order. The name is... He turns to go check and may have said something minimal. I can't remember. I do remember he never made eye contact. He must've said it's coming or something. I go back towards the front to wait. Another man enters, who is greeted by a different employee. Kindly. Takes care of the guy and even says have a good day. That same, second man brings me my to-go order. Doesn't say have a good day. I mean it's not like it's not possible, right. Don't gaslight me. I just 2 different people treat 2 different people better than I was. I check my bag and ask for utensils. He gets them. That's it. I decide to call after I left. Mind you parking stinks around this area. I would never think to come here to struggle and pay for parking and deal with bad customer service and food that is mid at best. The manager, a lady, wasn't much better. She apparently was sitting in the store and remembered me and the color I was wearing. She's basically like I saw you. I don't know what happened. I'll have to check with my staff because we don't discriminate. Mind you, ai didn't mention race. Was it because I was black? Perhaps because I was a woman? I will never know. What I do know is I was treated differently real time. Looked past. Given a lower level of priority and reception. But I'm puzzled that if this manager saw 3 very different interactions, why didn't she intervene. People have built in biased whether they are aware of it or not. And there is a difference between intent and impact. I did not feel seen. I did not feel empathy. She offered a free drink. She apologized. But it didn't feel heartfelt or sincere. You know how when you can tell when they are genuinely disappointed and want to really make it right. I told her that I didn't even live in the area and wasn't thrilled about returning. I won't return. And as I said the coffee and food was mid. Do better.

Erewhon Silver Lake is, by far, the worst Erewhon location in the city…read more I regularly shop at Erewhon and have been to every location. I'm frequently at Studio City, Santa Monica, and West Hollywood, so I have plenty of experience comparing the stores. Unfortunately, Silver Lake consistently stands out for all the wrong reasons. The biggest issue seems to be a serious lack of management and proper employee training. The team often appears confused about basic tasks, from printing labels to answering simple questions about prepared food. Something that should take a minute can turn into a long wait because no one seems to know what to do or who is responsible. The prepared-food experience is especially frustrating. Multiple times I've been told, "It'll be out in 10-15 minutes, they're making it now," only to wait 15 minutes and then be told, "Sorry, we were wrong--they're not making it anymore today." How does that happen so regularly? Even the food quality seems noticeably worse here. You would expect the exact same Erewhon item to be consistent from location to location, but that has not been my experience. I regularly eat the breakfast slider at Studio City without an issue, yet after eating the same item from Silver Lake, I felt sick. Even the meat and other prepared foods at Studio City consistently seem fresher to me. And the problems aren't limited to the prepared-food counter. I've purchased prebiotic yogurt here only to discover it was expired. I've also bought fruit that looked fine from the outside, cut it open shortly afterward, and realized it was so underripe that it was basically inedible and went straight into the trash. I understand that every store can have an occasional bad day. But when the problems are this consistent--from food quality and inventory information to expired products, produce quality, long waits, and employees struggling with basic procedures--it points to a management and training problem rather than an isolated mistake. For a store charging Erewhon prices, customers should absolutely expect better quality control and a much more organized operation. Today was my last visit to the Silver Lake location. I'll stick with Studio City, Santa Monica, and West Hollywood, where my experiences have been significantly better. Thanks, Silver Lake. Have a good one.
