This is my local 7-11 so I figured I would review it. This 7-11 is quite standard and its major flaw is the lack of parking. I am within walking distance so this means nothing to me but it's obvious what a nightmare the lot is. This isn't an upgraded or new store but it has the basics you would expect. The guys working there are always super kind and talkative. Sometimes hobos stand outside asking for change but its easy to walk right past and into the store. Pros: Standard 7-11 with good staff who keep the store well stocked. Cons: Not upgraded, bad parking and occasional hobo interference. read more

The gentleman working, are just rude. You put in your number so that you can use your reward points and they always bypass not letting you actually use your points. This one is right down the street from me so I go here for the convenience. If it weren't for that I would stop going here. The workers/owners here are complete trash. They have no idea what customer service is, nor make even the slightest of an attempt at it. The only person worth mentioning here is the girl they hired who works nights. She's amazing and I give her 5 stars because she is just the sweetest and really knows how to help. If you're going to run a business, it's not just about selling things. Pay attention to the girl you hired as she could really teach you A LOT about how to run your store. Because you guys suck and can't complete a simple request like splitting a payment between two cards bc you're too lazy or dumb to do it. read more

Today, I went shopping with my dad at 7-Eleven and I wanted Ice-Coffee which I always get but both flavors French Vanilla and Mocha were running out and I spoke to one of the 2 employees if he can refill it out and he says to me just grab one of the coffees from the new coffee machines, mix it up and put creamer on them (which I don't like any other flavors and I have no idea how to use them). These two talking to me like whatever and it seem they didn't feel like doing their job but I insisted to refill them up which they finally did. They sounded annoyed from the way they spoke to me. Also, my dad bought a coca cola drink from the soda dispenser and he said it tasted mostly like water. I didn't complain to have them changed again because I can tell they were already fed up with me. These guys really need to check all the drinks. read more

I definitely agree with the review below ... the amount of homeless people that makes this their home base is getting way out of hand. Last night I went there to get a water and there was 4 homeless people just posted right outside the door. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time for this but it was the last time for me. I drove out the lot as fast I drove in it and went to Ralph even though I had to real willingness to do so, it was the only option because this store look like a train wreck outside. Terrible customer service every time I come here. There's this one particular guy who blatantly ignores customers, doesn't answer any questions. Very rude staff. Also, when I use their points system, he chooses for me: every time I try to use earned points to get a discount, he cancels it. Half the price tags in the store are missing, and the product packages don't have the price sticker on them either.I recommend another 7 eleven location. Very cool place it was the first 7/11 that would allow me to grab off the grill with utensils they were ahead of the game when it came to that it was a feature I had recommended and they implemented which was very awesome that they did that I love 7/11 like If it was my own mother because it really is it's my wolf mother I feed from its teet and it keeps me alive with its abundance of energy drinks and grill food. The staff is always nice and helps out and they have never been rude to me at all which I appreciate on a human level because no one really wants to be treated in a malicious way. I recently came to the conclusion that 7-11 sucks ass. Although as a confession, I came to that realization over many, many years. As a freelance writer, I work at home and often under so many deadlines that I rarely have time to go out and get a decent lunch, and I'm not what you'd call a whiz in the kitchen. So, I used to walk to my neighborhood 7-11 quite a bit, and had many of their tuna sandwiches and cold drinks. Recently I stopped in to get some water, and the line was ridiculous. While I stood there, I glanced around and was smacked in the face by the question "Why are you in this place?" There were 420heads buying flavored cigars to make blunts, two blonde bimbettes with ginormous fake boobs and whale tails in line arguing about which lip gloss was best, and someone trying to purchase 48 different scratch-off lotto cards with an out of state third party check or something. I tried to find ONE single healthy thing on the shelves while I waited, and basically came up with only the water that I was holding already. I'd had enough. Besides, on this stretch of 1.7 miles on Tujunga Avenue in NoHo, there are 4... count 'em FOUR 7-11s, all in a row: Ventura and Tujunga, Moorpark and Tujunga, Camarillo/Riverside and Tujunga, and Magnolia and Tujunga. Do we really need that many 7-11s? Can people drive more than a half mile in search of one? I have to admit, I hit a 7-11 on Saturday since it was Free Slurpee Day, and hence them getting two stars. However, behind the register I noticed that they now sell video games, boner pills, digital cameras, and iPod cases. I give up. Of course, I'll probably have to amend this when I have some sort of junk food jones at 3am one night, but I'm just sayin'. Four stores in less than two miles. Good grief. read more

So a friend and i met up at 7-11...for a slurpeee! we are the reality bites generation after all... and i was reminded what a great place 7-11 truly is. a copy of the Weekly, a magazine stand, a first class $1 hot dog or cheese and crackers and an apple should you choose, the only place in town where i can get money from my credit union from an atm for free sans Pasadena or Lake Havasu?!...and no one cares that you hang out there forever. we are after all very friendly... our bargain outing was a blast, one of the best i've had in a while and it just reminds me...fun is what you make it. read more

This 7-Eleven sucks. There's hardly any parking...and it's on one of the busiest streets in North Hollywood. Come on! Whenever you try to pull into this place, there's usually about 2 cars pulling out and 3 cars trying to park, not including your own. Top that off...the slurpee machines are always on FAIL. The only one that usually works right is the one that no one wants. *side eye* And when the slurpee machine IS working, usually the slurpee is melted by the time you get to the counter because there's about 4 people in head of you in line. Horrible customer service! I didn't get the guys name but he was just so uncalled for. First of all, I tried to redeem my free drink with the 711 app and for some reason it didn't work so I had to end up paying for the coffee. He didn't care at all to try and fix the issue, so I just said whatever I was in a hurry anyway. Point of the story, my roommate was holding the coffee and accidentally dropped it as the door hit him on the way out of the store. I told him to go back in and get another one and the dude just responds, "that's not my problem". What a piece of work. This particular 7/11 is close to our office and very convenient to go in ATM,buy water and other little things. I chose to review these store because we always using it. The parking lot has a narrow and not enough spaces. Inside is ok and look the same as any other 7/11. Some workers are friendly and others are not. It's only in their hot food and the afternoon are bad. They also have a cold sandwich which has nice wheat bread on tuna,chicken,roast beef,ham and cheese also vegetarian sandwich. I'm an Real Estate Agent and my word and customer service means a lot to me as a real estate professional Today I went to get my coffee at 7eleven::: I got outside off my vehicle I was park in front of the store ok I had my cup from 7eleven with me before I enter the store.... Go inside the store and with my cup I said to the store clerk ( how much for the refill ) he said $1.25 ok then I throw the cup away because I wasn't going to drink out of the dirty cup so I got the same size and I made my coffee and it tested good and all and it was cold so I told the manager that there coffee wasn't hot!! He told me I'll make a new coffee and told me to thrown the coffee that I already made so I did ... I waited for 5 min there until was done so I said to the guy thank you and got a new cup again and made my hot coffee so I walk to the counter -.-.-.-.-.-. To pay my $1.25 and wend I was next in line the same guy tells me is $1.89 I told him I though you told me $1.25........... And he said !!!NO!!!! Is $1.89 because you got a new cup I said WTF you told me that is $1.25 wend I got in the store and I asked you how much for the refill you told me $1.25 you didn't told me of what size of a cup I can get or what kind of coffee I can get and then with his body and the manager told I will call the cops if you don't pay for the $1.89 I told him I'll be here call the cops im a customer here I put food on your table and pay your bills so they call the cops on me because the clerk said and lying that he didn't told me $1.25 and I got a new cup so .... I waited until the cups come by and check there coffee situation and told them that they have bad customer service and they couldn't stay with there word .... This is probably the worst 7 eleven I've been to. Robi was probably the worst cashier in existence. The ice machine was out of order. I got a big gulp and quarter pound hot dog. It wasn't pleasant drinking a warm Gatorade. It made my experience quite sour for this location. Robi needs to know how much customers are really helping the company pay him. Alright, it's 7-11. It's not a miracle worker, it's a convenience store. This particular one is my favorite for several reasons. One is the nice owner; the guy remembers his community and never gives me a sketchy eye when I come in wearing all sorts of outfits (sweats, mini skirt, work clothes). Also, the pizza, wings, and chicken fingers aren't at every location, so treasure them here! And if the food seems like its been there for a minute, he'll either tell you it's not fit to sell (but I always take it anyhow lol), and if you do take it he throws in a little extra love. Good man. Good, good man. Oh! And if a bum tries to pester you as you leave, the owner quickly comes outside like an angry parent and tells him/her to leave. A big thanks for that because it sucks to work 2 shifts, hustle day and night, then roll into 7-11 for an unhealthy $1 pizza slice just to have someone want something from you. It's North Hollywood, we don't have any money that isn't already accounted for! Damn! The negatives...there's 2. Parking. It's bad. The kind of bad where I park on the street to avoid a parking lot collision. And then there's the lady that works there. She always looks annoyed, like she believes you aren't fit to buy from the store, but she'll roll her eyes and ring you up anyhow. So of course I love 7-11 who doesn't but at this location there is a guy that is very rude and could use a good training in customer service even if it is just a 7-11. I took my five year old daughter here because she had gotten $5 dollars as a birthday gift and she wanted to buy chips and candy lol (I know she could of gotten something way better like a toy but that's what she wanted to spend her money on) when we went up to the register of course she was super excited being able to pay by herself. Love this 7-11. The guys that work here are hilarious . It's like getting a free stand up comedy show with every slurpee. They've always got the newest flavors of Red Bull and lots of different water selections to choose from. Seems like they are always stocking and cleaning. This 7-Eleven is on the corner of a high trafficked area between one of North Hollywood's sun bleached, perpetually empty parks and the very desperate grasp of local culture which is the NoHo Arts District. It's also a high trafficked area *wink* if you know what I mean. At any given time you will find a conflagration of cop cars, bums, druggies, pimps, locals, and bikers milling about the doors. Who rates a convenience store, I mean, really? 7-Eleven is 7-Eleven. This is more like the Mos Eisley spaceport without the drinks. My daughters go to school right next to this 7-11. I go there EVERY morning for coffee and EVERY afternoon for a sandwich or snack for my kids. The school also takes some of the kids for a "mini" field trip for slurpees and snacks. Today as usual there was no parking. So I parked nexted to the handicap spot. Not sure if its a spot but someone is always parked there. A man driving a very expensive car comes up to my window and says, " I am the owner of this store and this is not a parking spot" WOW !!!! really you JERK ! How about ...how are you, just to let you know this is not a spot. I spend much money in that store as my kids have been at the school since 2005. Why review a 7-11? As a regular here, I feel it is almost my duty to. For sure, this is the before work and after work go-to spot. Working the night shift means sometimes you need to unwind after. By "night shift" I mean I get off close to midnight some nights, and by "sometimes" I mean ALL the time. Since this 7-11 is pretty much in our backyard, we regularly stop in for a little vino. I've never seen any 7-11 store seriously stocked UP with hot items like this one. I'll admit it: I love the taquitos...Aaaaand WHAT. Like many 7-11's, there is always a random mixed bag of characters hanging around. My gf and I used to work the 5am shift on Saturdays, so this was our coffee stop around 4-something-am. Once we saw a girl in her club clothes sitting outside crying her eyes out, wandering around aimlessly. Another time a woman was inside demanding change for a hundred dollar bill, and right when she exited the cashier said, "Well if she was NICER I would have GIVEN it to her. You can't ask for change like that!" So if you ever need anything extra up in this joint, just remember to BE NICE. We will keep being regulars here as long as we are in the 'hood. **Disclaimer: I gave this place three stars because I feel weird rating a 7-11 anything more than that. "Just Ok" seemed fitting. This is my fourth favorite 7 Eleven after the one in Valley Village, the one on Laural Canyon and the one in Bethpage, Long Island down the street from where my cousin Jimmy used to live before he moved to Chicago. Actually it was Buffalo Grove, Illinois just outside of Chicago. I have never been to Illinois so I don't know how good their 7 Eleven's are. What I do know is that the 7 Eleven on Magnolia in North Hollywood is simply divine. Doritos, coffee, stale donuts, ...it's exactly how you imagine a 7 Eleven to be in your mind. Recently I went in there looking for Slim Jims, a $5 DVD of "Here Comes the Boom" with Kevin James and some Pampers. They didn't have the Pampers (hence the 4 stars) but they did have an amazing array of jerky spanning many flavors, shapes and sizes. I bought an original flavored Slim Jim in stick form. While I was there I was introduced to something called "scratch off lottery tickets" which offer the participant a chance to win money. I spent $50 on tickets and won $2 which I promptly used to buy a new ticket. Sadly, that one lost. Oh well, there's always next time. I asked the clerk if he could recommend a good tobacco product and he gave me something called "White Owls" which they keep behind the counter for preferred customers. I gave him my money to which he then gave me change, thereby completing the transaction. As I left a filthy man approached me rather aggressively and asked me for my spare change. I gave him $2 which he took without saying a word and then proceeded to urinate on a concrete garbage can that was filled with coffee cups and losing scratch off lottery tickets. It was a wonderful experience. I can't wait until the next time I have a craving for a day old hot dog at 3 am. read more
