Just down the street or a few blocks away from several apartment complexes and residential neighborhoods, it's easy to stop by anytime of day. Unfortunately, the gas here is tragically overpriced, sometimes over a dollar more per gallon than some other gas stations. There are also the occasion sketchy people that may approach you and ask you for money, although that's much of North Portland in general. It's a decent place to fuel up if you're almost out of gas, but otherwise there are better locations.

We tanked up 2x in Oregon and the first one was just over the border and my son didn't know what to make of the person approaching the driver window. I did have to laugh. This tank up was just before leaving Portland and the Irish accented gentleman was busy- he had every pump with a customer and was bouncing between all of them! Robert (my kid) said it's weird, but I believe there are just 2 states left that do this practice- New Jersey and Oregon. The gas attendant was not paying attention and the fuel overflowed in gushes over the side of the car. The smell was so strong I left the drivers seat to correct it myself. Then, the attendants runs to close the cap and says "it's ok." I asked the clerk inside if he could credit the extra gallons spewed onto the pavement. He gave me the number of the phone next to him today, Thursday morning and ask that I call and address this on Monday with the manager, Tiny. Am I on crazy pills ?
