From May 5th 2026 through May 6th, I spent hours negotiating with salesman Danie on a certified pre-owned 2023 Acura MDX. We reached an agreed-upon out-the-door price, and I was told Sales Manager Alec Torres would call me on May 7th to complete financing over the phone. What followed was days of complete radio silence. Multiple calls and texts to Alec Torres went unanswered. When I called the dealership, staff said they couldn't discuss financing until Manager Brad Caba was available because I wasn't buying in person. On May 8th, after repeated calls and being told Brad was "in meetings," I was finally informed -- via text -- that the car I had agreed to buy had already been sold. No one had bothered to tell me earlier, even though I was actively trying to move forward. While I understand cars can sell, being strung along for multiple days with zero communication was unacceptable. Alec later apologized and admitted it was his fault, but then repeatedly tried to push me into a lease, a higher-mileage MDX at a higher price, and even offered to find me something at auction. I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager instead. It is now May 12th and I have reached out via text, voicemail, email, FB messenger and still no response back from any of the platforms. Let me start with the hero, because she deserves her flowers. This woman -- this *actual professional* -- found me my dream car. Not that day. Not that week. A month later. She kept looking. She kept digging. She found it knowing she would not make the sale. That is not a car salesperson, that is a guardian angel with a dealer license, and I want that on record. Now. The car. The manager takes my car for a test drive. *My* car. The one I drove there. No asking. No "excuse me, may I." Just gone. Car is gone. Manager is gone. I purchased a 2021 Toyota Supra from them, and less than 24 hours later, a "Parking Sensor Malfunction" warning popped up. I immediately called in to get it checked, expecting proper support, but instead, I was told that I would have to pay out of pocket because I didn't purchase the extended warranty. This is completely unacceptable--how does a brand-new purchase have issues within a day, and the dealership refuses to take responsibility? Out of State Buyers Beware! I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership however I live in Scottsdale, AZ. The communication was fine throughout the process but let me list the areas of concern for future out of state (or even in state) buyers: 1) Purchase Docs - the team sent these to the wrong address and were sent back to the dealership and when I finally did receive, sign and send back they couldn't locate them even though someone signed for it at the dealership. After a day or two they let me know they 'found the docs'. It's always worrisome when your SSN and personal information is just floating out there. 2) The temp registration for the car has expired and I'm now on Day 4 of an expired temp tag. I reached out to the dealership to see if they can create a new one but the response was 'you can probably go to your local DMV and get a temp tag extension'. I still don't get why they wouldn't extend it or at least not make it expire so early, other out of state dealers I have worked with have sent new ones if it were expiring. 3) I specifically asked if there were any issues with the brakes and the response I got was 'no, all our brakes are inspected and have 60% or more life left'. Within 100 miles of owning the car the brakes were squeaking so bad to where I took it into the local dealership and it was noted I had 1 mm life left on the back brakes and 2 mm on the front. Clearly they didn't want to spend the money on replacing the brakes and now I am out nearly $3k. I nearly walked away several times during this purchase because of the headaches and would just warn others to thoroughly inspect any used vehicle beforehand and ensure you know what you may be signing up for. I have bought several new cars from Dick Hannah over the years, but always in Vancouver, Wa. I Just bought my first "Certified Preowned" car from Dick Hannah Acura of PORTLAND OREGON, on STARK. Acura RDX $39,999.00 Certified Preowned does not mean a darn thing ! There was nothing certified about our car, at all! We did not even make it home, before the problems started! The headliner fell on us when we went to open the sunroof. Two tires were new, two were old. The exhaust tips were rusted out. (Our salesman bought us new ones out of his own pocket). The rear door was not installed right, so there is a gap when the door is shut. A piece of plastic, next to center mirror fell on my wife, (and it continues to fall out still). No windshield fluid. A/C does not work as our TSX, or the TLX does. My wife found out, the hard way, that the seatbelt was greasy, now she will only drive it with a towel over her cloths. Let me remind you, $39,999.00! AND NOW THE FUN STARTS!!! Got there 15 minutes early for my 9:15 am appointment with CHAD, and they took me right in. Got all the paperwork done, and CHAD tells me my loaner car is the silver one, out in the parking lot. THE LOANER CAR WAS DIRTY, NASTY. I walked back and informed CHAD that the car was filthy, and I was not going to drive it, until it was washed. He grabbed the keys from me, and said it would be washed. (he was not happy). I got there at 9:00 . When the car was not washed by 10:30, I was pissed, and I told CHAD so. (IT'S 'S A DRIVE-THRU CAR WASH FOR CRYINNG OUT LOUD!!!). (Let's just say our conversation was very heated, and CHAD likes me....about as much as I like him!). It should not have taken as long as it did, and I told CHAD that! I should of just washed the loaner car myself!! We don't have things to do? Our time is not as valuable as there's? Who the heck wants to drive a dirty, nasty car?? After 6 months of owning our GMC we are still having issues. We have heard ZERO from the dealership in trying to help, solve, or credit is back to buy another car. We have drove this car less then 200 miles since buying it due to all the issue. WITHIN 3 DAYS OF BUYING THE GMC 1. Alternator died 2.battery died 3. roof leaked (creating mold) 4. Mold that keeps coming back WITHIN 2 months 1. The front dash went out 6 2. Slow leak on all the tires. AGAIN WE HAVE LESS THEN 200 miles since we bought it with LOTS of repair receipts We have decided it's time to contact to state of Oregon as we are a victim and we have all the paper work in repairs. And repairs that are made then it still will not work making this car a lemon. Dick Hannah had a pre check of the car that obviously wasn't true nor accurate. We are hoping Dick Hannah can either step up and make things right or we can make it right with the state in what ever way we can even if that means updating reviews every month with a 1-stare review. I know some people want a new car but given the respect I have been showed and the fact when I wanted to buy they were ALL OVER ME then when issues raised they never said a peep. They initially quoted me $180, a bit steep but better then trying to take it to Kuni where I bought my car. In the end it cost a whopping $30! Honesty goes a long way, I was prepared to pay more but they didn't get greedy which I cannot say the same of their competition. Lies!! Lies!! and more Lies!! Avoid this place like the plague that they are. If you want to feel helpless, this is the right dealership for you. They will definitely make you feel that you have been raped 10,000 times over. First, the salesperson told us that THEY will take care of any expenses of the vehicle that we trade in because I was trading my car in that was in another Dick Hannah shop. Nope. They asked me to pay for the expenses that was incurred. In essence, the salesperson went back on his word even though I told him that there was an account that needed to be settled with the other Dick Hannah shop. It was around $200.00. They really shouldn't make their customers hope and smite their hopes into bits. I bought a pre-owned vehicle and you know how they tell you that it goes through this 100+ point inspection. Lies!! Luckily we had the mechanics at Firestone in Vancouver (See my review about them) check the vehicle out. They saw an oil leak which would have cost me $1296.00 (see photo). The service report also stated that the vehicle was "very low on oil" (see Photo). REALLY?? 100+ point inspection huh?? How can you miss the oil?? LIES!! Lies!! The salesperson also told us that it was a vehicle with one owner, a few days later I asked for the Carfax report (the very same one he showed us), which I think he purposely did not give us, and it was actually a vehicle that has had two owners. Lies!! They also told me that the vehicle will be spotless and be like brand new with everything working when i got it back. Guess what? You guessed it. LIES!!! When they called me to pick up the vehicle, everything that I wanted fixed like the windshield washer spout and the side safety lights were still broken. How can you miss those on a 100+ point inspection. LIES!!! When I had the chance to actually drive the car off the lot, the temporary tags had expired and no one told me so I thought I'd bring it to the DMV. Come to find out, the dealership has not sent any of my paperworks to the DMV like they said they would so I ended up driving back to the dealership. This was close to the holidays and there is nothing better than sitting in traffic due to someone else's incompetence. And good luck having someone return your call. I bought my car from Dick Hannah up in Vancouver and have been taking it in for service at this location for the past ten years. No complaints. The service team is always up front about the cost of things every step of the way, and I always feel like my car is in good hands. And if I decide to pass on a recommended piece of service, there is zero hard sell to do it. During my most recent visit for a service check (first time since Covid), I was taken care of by James (quick shout out to Holly who took care of me during my last few visits). He was great with quality service that began with my phone call to set up the appointment a couple days before. James quoted me a service price right up front and when the need for a filter replacement was discovered he was quick to update me on the price as well as sending me pictures to show the state of my current filters. And if there was a way to save me money, he made sure to share it with me, at one point recommending that I get a replacement battery for my Honda at a Honda dealership since they could offer a better warranty. Best of all, my car was ready before the time he'd originally stated, so no complaints there. As for the Covid part, I felt very comfortable with everyone wearing masks, clear social distancing in place, and plastic barriers everywhere. Said my battery was bad when I replaced it less than a year ago smh, it obvious why they have to up-charge so much it because they don't get any business. My husband and I recently paid off the vehicles we purchased at this location. Wr contacted them the day after the payoff, 9/11/2021 and requested the remainder of gap insurance be refunded. They sent us a form to fill out , which we did and sent back to them along with the copies of the payoff from the bank for the cars. We have today not receive the gap checks so my husband he called and got a status on them, to which they told him that we needed to send in a form and a paper showing the payoff of the vehicles. He told them that we already did that nearly a month ago and we have still not seen the checks for gap insurance refund. This lot from start to finish along with all other Dick Hannah lots has been a complete and total nightmare. They are very much dragging their feet at giving us the refunds on the gap insurance and I think it is completely inappropriate and unprofessional for nearly a month to have gone by without receiving those refund. It's been about a month of owning my new Acura MDX and I have nothing but great things to say about my experience at this point. I am a first time car buyer and had a terrible experience at one of the competing locations. I was matched up with Ernie here who did such a great job explaining everything to me, respecting my choices to additional options, and for making sure I understood everything before I signed. Poor service, went here for an oil change, the oil change was fine, just the car wash and the service was below average of professionalism. I was expected to be treated as a valuable customer since it's an Acura dealer, but it turned out that this place has the worse service I've ever had. This is actually is second time here, The first time was for a tire rotation, this time for an oil change. Note** frankly speaking, this place want to make $ out of you. they told me I had to replace my brake fluid, BS, I had my car brake fluid check at Les Swab after I had this oil change and Les Swab crew told me my brake fluid is fine.
