Lazy Eye Coffee was hands down one of my favorite coffee stops in Mission Beach! I'm OBSESSED with their Banana Bread Latte. Served hot or cold this is amazing & a must try. The shop has a super laid-back vibe. You order at the window & there are a couple of tables on the sidewalk if you want to hang out for a bit, but it's definitely more of a grab-and-go coffee spot. Don't blink or you'll miss this teeny, adorable coffee cart. My fiancé and I were craving a cup of coffee after a leisurely stroll along Mission Beach on a random Saturday morning....where to go that isn't Starbucks? Lazy Eye to the rescue! Lazy Eye is sandwiched between two buildings with one table out front. It's a to-go place. When you're that close to the beach, who wants to be inside anyway? While they do offer regular brewed coffee, I'm pretty certain their specialty is all the delicious frou-frou coffee drinks. I usually don't go for them, but today, I was in the mood for it. Their milk chocolate mocha with light ice was delicious It made me very happy and our pup was super happy with the treat they gave him. They have a small bakery display which I passed on since we were getting brunch soon, but I'm sure there's something for everyone there. This location is open 7 days a week- 6:30am-1pm. Don't miss this little hole-in-the-wall spot. It's the perfect place to stop if you're walking along Mission Beach and want a good coffee break. The staff here are incredibly kind and personable. They make everyone feel like a regular, even if you are just visiting the area. One of the best parts is their creative latte menu. My friends and I were in town and wanted to stop by a local coffee spot and stumbled across this one on Yelp since it had a lot of great reviews. It's such a cute spot with the pug logo and beachy vibe! There was only one person working, and she was taking orders and making drinks at the same time so it did take awhile, but we didn't mind. I just wasn't too impressed by the coffee. I got the raspberry smash, and although the coffee was smooth, I was a little disappointed because I wasn't really able to taste any of the other flavors and it just tasted like a normal latte to me. Staying the week at an air bnb, this was our favorite coffee spot. Each coffee we had was delicious and the barista was incredibly friendly. He even started to remember my dad's order and was always there with a smile. Not sure where they get their donuts from but they were soft and delicious. Great Coffee and Pastry and Customer Service (very friendly baristas). I ordered the seasonal Apple Caramel latte and got a triple berry scone. So good, not too sweet. The espresso was smooth, the way it should be, and the scone tasted like home. Unassuming coffee front right by Mission Beach. It's a pretty small brick and mortar, so if you don't catch it you'll accidentally miss it! Was greeted by friendly staff when I walked up. Really nice selection of coffee options and alternative milks. This is a walk up small beach business vibe. Customers appear to be a mix of locals and tourists. The barista in the back had my drink ready in less than 2 minutes which was helpful to keep the line moving. The daughter of the family after me was eyeing the bright pink sprinkle donut option. I had an almond croissant paired with a light agave cinnamon latte. The nuttiness of the pastry went well with the cinnamon and sweetness of the agave. Highly recommend stopping over if you are in the area. I only deducted a star for the amount of flies. This was the closest local coffee shop to our Airbnb in mission beach so it was a nice walk there. We walked behind on the beach but you can also utilize the sidewalk on the front of the store or the one that lines the beach condos. They have a smaller tea menu and I ended up with a chai latte as the non coffee drinker and my husband enjoyed his cold brew with caramel. It's more of a grab and go place which is nice cause you can walk along the beach after. The one staff person was fast and friendly. It was an average chai not enough spice for my liking but it gave me the. My husband said the cold brew ranks in the top 5 of the various coffee shops we've tried from Illinois to arizona. read more

Why oh whyyyyyy does the best food and coffee have to be discovered away from home?! We were in town for the weekend and Lazy Eye Coffee was a two minute walk from where we were staying so of course I had to at least give the place a try. Well that quickly turned into going nowhere else for coffee... I had the agave cinnamon latte and banana bread latte, both with oat milk and both insanely good! I tried to order something different each time but the agave cinnamon was just too good so I kept going back to that! I also tried a few muffins and it was another thumbs up. The baristas were friendly and quick. This must be a popular spot (and I understand why) because there was a mini crowd gathered out front each time; still, the wait wasn't long. There's a small, two-seater table out front but otherwise it's just a walk-up coffee shop so don't plan to sit down with your coffee and pastries unless that small table is available. If you're looking for delicious coffee, definitely try Lazy Eye! It's also a great option for coffee on-the-go and as an honorable mention, I really like the available substitutions for traditional diary. read more

Here we are reviewing this shop that deserves the full 5 stars. This little window in the wall of a shop, is right on the street, a block away from the beach, easy to walk up to but maybe not so easy to spot from far away. We found parking about a block away, but it is all street parking in that area so if you're looking to stop in, keep that in mind. Now this is just a little window in the wall style shop, so don't expect to be able to sit and do homework or anything like that, definitely a grab and go spot but worth it. We went on a super sunny weekend day, and there was no one there when we arrived, but by the time we were leaving there was a line of at least 4 groups. The lady running the cafe was super sweet and happy to answer everyone's questions, make great suggestions, and was popping great drinks out as she went. For our drinks, I got a cortado, a yuzu drizzle cake latte, peanut cup latte. My boyfriend absolutely loved his peanut butter cup latte, and my yuzu drizzle cake latte was one of the best lattes I've had. I don't normally go for flavored lattes, but every now and then I'll try one, and this is one I'd suggest to anyone because wow. read more

I stopped in three times during my visit and tried a different drink each time! Everyone one of them was delicious! They make their own syrups and have unique and unusual flavors for their regular and seasonal menu! Be adventurous and try one of their specialities. You won't be disappointed! I was lucky to sample their Pumpkin Pistachio latte from the winter menu. 5 stars! A few days later they had their spring menu up and I tried the Orange Almond Blossom latte iced on the recommendation of the barista. YUM! It's not really a coffee shop with seating options, it's more of a walk up counter with an impressive menu and pastry display case. Great Coffee in Mission Beach at this location! It's a small little place, offering a to go coffees, teas, and eats. I had the Lazy Eye Coffee Cold Brew with ice and a touch of whole milk. The Starbucks further down on mission is temporarily closed, so I got on yelp to see any alternative coffee shops in the area. I checked this place and buzz by Ralph's further down on mission. I like that it's locally owned and that the kiosk just opened in July. Wanting to support local business I walked over in the morning to check it out and got some coffee to go to bring back to my friend. Wish they had option to toast the croissant before serving. Also would've wanted them to put a stopper into the cup lid so your coffee doesn't spill out while in transit. Nice they offered a carrier though, and would've been nice if my coffee wasn't lukewarm.
