[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool little coffee shop in Mission beach.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We stayed here at a Airbnb and this coffee shop was nearby. A great place to get a cup of coffee. It does get busy, so prepare to wait but it has good coffee to get your day going!

    Such a tasty sandwich!!

This is my neighborhood coffee cafe! Excellent food and amazing coffee! The staff and owners go.out of their way to make sure everyone is happy and has excellent service!

Blue Palm is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Mission Beach. The cold brew with cold foam is consistently amazing, and their honey sea salt espresso is reason enough to stop by--absolutely addictive. The shop has perfect coastal vibes, both indoor and outdoor seating, and such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and always remembers my order, which makes it feel like a true neighborhood gem.

Got a small iced americano with hardly any ice. Watery and overpriced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool atmosphere though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is great as a sit-down restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was quite busy the entire time I was there and there was a bit of a wait for orders. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since we were sitting down and settled in though, we didn't mind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's so cute inside and there are lots of really nice indoor and patio seating options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was awesome! A bit on the expensive side, especially for drinks.

Great service. So fast and friendly. Got the cappuccino. It was good and strong. Perfectly balanced. These guys know how to make a good coffee. Just off the boardwalk. Lots of seating outside and inside.

I have been here before, but brought a friend to try, she shared how she wanted to try this coffee shop. I bought an everything bagel and vanilla latte, she got a coffee. She thought it was so delicious. My latte was so good! I could taste the coffee! Bagel was perfectly toasted! I couldn't wait to take a bite! Service was great, baristas were friendly and answered questions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Its such a cute shop feels like I am in a beach house.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First of all, Blue Palm is super cute and has a relaxing atmosphere. It is clean/modern meets shabby chic inside with cool white and gray tones. The staff are super friendly and happily answered all my questions. I walked there from Plunge, but seems like it's possible to find street parking on weekday mornings. I ordered my food to go, so it was in take out containers. I looked at tables around me and the "for here" orders were plated beautifully. Adorable China and mugs. Really added to the ambiance. The avocado toast looked beautiful. The bread was delicious. The avocado was not quite ripe so the flavor wasn't really there. That was a little disappointing especially because it looked so good. The pop tart was AMAZING. I will never eat another store bought one! The chai was also on point. The restroom was also lovely. My only wish would have been that it included a diaper changing table. Aside from that, it was kind of pricy but the overall experience and quality of the food made it worthwhile.

Such a cute casual brunch spot to enjoy with the girlies Spicy tuna bowl (7/10): this is what I imagine a homemade poke bowl would taste like. Really enjoyed the amount of avocado and tuna. It was very filling and a decent price Brown butter toffee latte (7.5/10): did not blow my mind but it was good. Could not really taste the brown butter but the toffee notes were coming through and it wasn't too sweet. If you're in the area and looking for a decent brunch spot, definitely stop by! It's not too crowded and you'll get your food/drinks quickly :)

I suggested this place because they have pastries and looked like a good brunch menu. It has a nice outdoor patio which was perfect on a beautiful beach day. The chilaquiles is made with a red salsa, and you can ask for their house salsa on the side. The eggs come scrambled, plus a side of sour cream and avocado. I really enjoyed it. It had just the right amount of spice. I also ordered an iced soy milk pistachio coconut latte and I couldn't leave without trying their pastries. I ordered a chocolate croissant and a chocolate chip & blueberry scone. They also offer day-old scones for $2, which I love that they offer to reduce food waste.

I'm just extremely disappointed with how poor my experience was today because I had only super positive experiences previously and was looking forward to dining there this morning after sometime away, but holy hell ....today's experience has been so profoundly bad. Firstly, my husband ordered two breakfast burritos - one with bacon and the other with bacon on the side. I'll chalk this one up to miscommunication, but they put bacon in one, and bacon in the other too - and then added bacon on the side to the other and charged us $5.50 for the extra bacon. Again, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt here and will be sure to communicate explicitly next time. They kindly made me a new one, but the new one had potatoes that weren't cooked thoroughly (likely to rush the food to me, so I acknowledge the difficulty here), however there was hardly any avocado. I literally had to complain again because I didn't believe there was any avocado at all. I wouldn't be as pissed if this weren't an EIGHTEEN DOLLAR breakfast burrito. Lastly, the coffee lids don't fit on the cups. We tried to put one on and ended up spilling the entire coffee. I chalked this up to an accident on our part, however another patron who observed our incident said "their lids don't fit the cup, right??" And I was like "oh so it wasn't just us??" And she was like "no, I almost spilled mine all over too." This random patron encouraged us to ask for a new cup of coffee as a result (thanks, random patron!). The Molly's team did kindly make us a new (albeit quite bitter) drink, which I appreciate. However, the lid was still an issue - it would spill out of the cup all over the rim between the cup and the lid when I'd try to take a sip, so I took off the lid entirely, but then was stuck with dealing with spills while walking around - I had to move at a snail's pace to prevent spills altogether. This was easier to deal with random leakage around the entire cup every time I'd sip with the lid on. Ultimately It was just a lose-lose with the ill fitting lid situation. All this to say - Molly's Team, yall were fantastic just a month ago. What happened? I understand food and services in the beach area stuff are often expensive and rarely good, but you guys are *too* expensive for this poor of service and quality. Two stars because at least the folks there are generally nice.

The food has that made-from-scratch feel to it, and is always fresh and high quality. I've had breakfast and lunch here and haven't left a crumb behind either time. I loved the waffle with berries for breakfast, and the veggie sandwich at lunch time. I also LOVED the drink menu-- had the best matcha latte with housemade syrup (passionfruit I think?) and a really delicious old fashioned caramel latte. Some people might consider the downside of a place like this to be the small kitchen, as it can impact wait times and the kitchen's ability to accommodate specific requests. However!! I think this just makes the experience more special-- having to slow down and savor a dining experience instead of rushing from place to place is truly a treat. Although not always speedy necessarily, I've had amazing service every time I've visited here. On one occasion we had longer wait times for our food and were treated with a delicious cake at the end of our meal. On another, we had a very minor snafu happen where a server was adjusting an umbrella and accidentally knocked something over on the table next to us-- the staff comped all of our meals out of consideration which was just so generous and understanding. Overall I can't recommend this place enough! They have so many fun menus and specials. I can't wait to try their Peasant night in a few weeks. Grateful to have this spot in the neighborhood!

It actually is a very small cafe, so expect a bit of waiting, especially for peak dining times and weekends. There is seating both indoors and outdoors, and I chose to sit indoors. I was interested in their coffee menu, since they seemed to take craft in some of their creations. I enjoyed their Strawberry Cold Brew. It was light and sweet from the foam on top and had a nice balance of brew and strawberry flavor. For food, we kept it all veggie with their Black Bean Tacos and a Superfood bowl. It wasn't our first choice, though, as all of our selections were sold out for the afternoon. The food was bright and colorful, but did take a little longer to prepare. My bowl had plenty of red bell peppers and onions, which I did eventually get tired of eating. I loved the crispy kale and wish they included more of it or some seeds on top for more crunch! That day they were out of stock on everything we wanted, so I will have to give it another go if I ever get the chance to revisit. Overall, the service was very kind from the ladies and the coffee is notable!
