Blue Palm has excellent coffee! I ordered a honey sea salt espresso with cold foam and it was so so good. The crushed iced and the coffee taste was just a perfect combination. I have to say I'm not a fan of a domed iced coffee lid (iykyk) and was a little sad they didn't have branded cups like what the other yelp reviews showed. First of all, Blue Palm is super cute and has a relaxing atmosphere. It is clean/modern meets shabby chic inside with cool white and gray tones. The staff are super friendly and happily answered all my questions. I walked there from Plunge, but seems like it's possible to find street parking on weekday mornings. I ordered my food to go, so it was in take out containers. I looked at tables around me and the "for here" orders were plated beautifully. Adorable China and mugs. Really added to the ambiance. The avocado toast looked beautiful. The bread was delicious. The avocado was not quite ripe so the flavor wasn't really there. That was a little disappointing especially because it looked so good. The pop tart was AMAZING. I will never eat another store bought one! The chai was also on point. The restroom was also lovely. My only wish would have been that it included a diaper changing table. Aside from that, it was kind of pricy but the overall experience and quality of the food made it worthwhile. read more

What was even more surprising is I purchased a chocolate chip cookie for my little guy and he took one bite and spit it out. It was covered in salt. I get a sprinkle of salt but it was way too much salt. We ordered French toast and it looked like two soggy pieces of bread. Found my new favorite coffee shop in mission beach! Came here on a Monday for a Mama Meet up. I must start off by saying how sweet and welcoming the staff is. They serviced all 24 of us mamas plus babies and did a great job at it. Shout out to the amazing staff here. It was my first time here. I love the aesthetic and homey feel to the place. From the decor to all the different seating areas, Blue Palm is a great place to work or grab a bite to eat. The coffee is strong, just how I like it. Plus they have a lot of flavored syrups to choose from if you want to sweeten it up. The pastries and food here is great too. I'm already looking forward to my next visit :) read more

The lavender rose syrup was alright, being very rose forward and i didnt enjoy it all that much. My husband's honey cinnamon latte was very cinnamon strong. The place is so cute and a great location to walk to the boardwalk for a stroll. Blue Palm Mission Beach is a fairly new cafe located inside a modified house in the South Mission Beach neighborhood. It replaced an eatery that specialized in Southern comfort food. There was a nice front patio for outdoor seating while the inside was brightened up with a lighter color paint compared to its predecessor. All the parking in this area was curbside unless you wanted to try the lots at Mission Beach Park several blocks north and then walk down to this business. All day breakfast and lunch were available with about ten items in each category. Beverages ranged from prepackaged bottles on the refrigerated display shelves to coffee, tea, and smoothies on the menu. I selected a Veggie Omelette and Sundaze Smoothie. Three eggs, bell peppers, tomato, spinach, scallion, and shredded mozzarella were served with toasted sourdough, mashed avocado, and arugula. The smoothie was made up of strawberry, mango, pineapple, and honey. Between the two items, it was the healthiest meal I had eaten in a few weeks. I would recommend a cup of dressing like balsamic vinaigrette be offered for the arugula as the greens by themselves were dry. The service was polite and efficient. The ambiance was very quaint and relaxing like at a leisurely vacation beach house. The only missing aspect was that it wasn't facing the ocean. read more
