I stopped by after a trip to H-mart and ordered the large sea cream jasmine with boba. The girl at the register was very enthusiastic and nice. She was handling taking orders and making drinks all by herself! The drink itself was fine, as tasty as it always is. Not really worth the hype in my opinion, but it's alright. I had some friends who came to visit from out of state, and the first thing they craved was 7 Leaves. As someone who grew up here, I never understood the hype behind 7 Leaves, but I took them to the SF location nonetheless. This location has a deal where you get a 15% discount if you purchase something from the H Mart next door and show the cashier the receipt. I'd admit that's a really good deal. I personally got the Japanese Matcha Latte. It was okay, not bad but also not that great. I would give it a 3.5/5. My absolute favorite coffee, so I was thrilled when they opened close to home. My go-to is the house coffee. Very spacious inside, a great place to study. Friendly staff. Friendly and quick service! On a weekend afternoon, there were customers seated at their many tables studying and working while enjoying their delicious tea. There was no line when I ordered. I tried their Oolong Milk Tea with Boba. The order came out quickly, within five minutes. I liked the chewiness of the boba along with the sweet and strong oolong taste. While their oolong milk tea is one of their more common flavors that exist at other boba places too, I usually enjoy their Mung Bean Milk Tea which is quite unique to the 7 Leaves Cafe chain. Needed a mid day pick-me-up so stopped by at 7 Leaves near H Mart. The parking lot can get crowded on the weekends but there's a parking garage right next to 7 Leaves too. There are some tables and seats inside but most people usually order to go. It's clean inside and I like that they have a pictures on the walls of their drinks. I got the Strawberry Hibiscus tea. It was refreshing and I could taste the strawberry and hibiscus flavors. It was on the sweet side for me, I should have gotten it with light sweetness. I'll make sure I do that next time. read more

Lowering my 5 rating until they fix the app. Don't get me wrong, the drinks are great. But the app / order process has been buggy. I also had my order messed up and it was too late to go back to get my order corrected :( What's wrong with the app is you cannot add honey boba (their standard boba) while paying with 7leaves points. But you can buy honey boba on the app if you pay with card but it's under "extra add ons". Why? I have no idea. The second hiccup was I ordered 2 drinks of mung bean with boba and added an espresso shot into both. Surprisingly one of the 2 did not have espresso. See photos and the colors of the drinks are so different! The left has the espresso and you can tell by the coloring of the mung bean, it's a bit less bright green. It also sucks how you cannot pay for leaves points when you're in the store. So if you want to try their seasonal drinks (which are not typically in the app), you'd have to pay in store. read more

While shopping at H Mart, I got a little thirsty and thought to try 7 Leaves for a nice, refreshing afternoon drink. The cafe is a fairly big space with seating. But there were only a few customers standing around waiting for their order. Looking over the menu, most are caffeinated iced drinks. It was getting late in the day, so I opted for a Strawberry Hibiscus (Roobioos tea, strawberry and apple bits) and added crystal boba. It's already pre-mixed and sweetened, so no adjustments could be made. The description said strawberry and apple bits? I only saw a slice of lime floating, but didn't get much of those bits. The description didn't mention citrus either. Some people have allergies to citrus, so they should list what fruits are in the drink and be more transparent. Like the majority who reviewed 7 Leaves, it's been said that the drinks are too sweet. I guess I'm also one to say it's sweeter than I would like. After a few hours, the ice mellowed the drink. But honestly, must we nurse our drink for it to be more palatable? The cafe should really listen to their customers and change the amount of sugar being used for those drinks that are pre-mixed, if they want their ratings to go up. My drink was ok, but if it was made with less sugar, it would have tasted better from the start. I'm on the fence about returning. read more

Drinks are good, no complaints. However, a few things: When the app is having issues with online ordering for pick up, you cannot redeem your leaves manually in store. They need to manage the pick ups better. When I ordered a couple months ago, someone else took my order. The workers were apologetic and re-made the drink right away. When I went in today, it happened again to another customer. The person working nearest to the pick up counter was a bit flustered when I was picking up my order after that happened. To minimize any discrepancies and from having the customers wait a little longer for their drink, they need to either designate a person solely for managing pick up or barricade the area to avoid random people taking drinks. read more

I'm pretty disappointed in this location. I think this may be the dirtiest 7 Leaves I've ever been to. The front looks fine, but looking in the back and kitchen is off putting. They also have ginormous containers of tea sitting out, not refrigerated. Their loyalty system is down. Their ipad tablet for payment was down to 10% when I arrived in the afternoon. The woman serving tea didn't fill my drink to the top. It was at least 1-2 inches below what I would consider an acceptable margin of error. And embarrassingly, I had to ask the woman to put in more because I paid for the size upgrade. I bought four drinks and they all turned out fine after I asked for more drink to be added to most. It's convenient that this boba cafe has a parking lot and next to Hmart. When I came on a Sunday around 4pm, the parking lot was very packed but there are still empty tables here. I ordered hot mung bean milk tea $6 which was yummy. The cashier said there are 2 sizes so the bigger size might cost more. Price is a little higher than other cafes probably because of the location. We decided to give it a try and I liked how the menu had descriptions on the different strength and notes of flavor that are in the teas. The inside is pretty spacious with lots of light and we didn't have to wait too long before the drinks came out. Assam Milk Tea - I opted for this one based on the descriptions and it was one of the best milk teas I've had. It was balanced in the tea and milk, maintaining creaminess and a great level of sweetness. I also loved their honey boba which was warm and chewy. We also tried the Japanese Matcha & Soy, which was a bit of a let down as it was clumpy at the bottom and tasted like soy milk over the matcha flavor and the Orange Dream, which was refreshing and reminiscent of the orange creamsicle popsicles. We came mid-Saturday morning and were one of the only customers. The cafe is comparable to other 7 Leaves with WiFi and plenty of tables to sit, chat, study, or work at. Ordering was done quickly since we knew what we wanted. Our drink came out within minutes which is what I've always liked about 7 Leaves. I found the service to be efficient and straight to the point. He and I shared a Large Green Thai Tea with Soy Milk, Easy Ice, and Easy Sweetness. The drink was florally from the jasmine. Compared to the other 7 Leaves locations we both agreed the drinks here are way too sweet (especially asking for easy sweetness). The drink also wasn't as smooth or creamy as other 7 Leaves which was quite disappointing. Nonetheless, we got our drink and it perked us both up. I'm a huge fan of 7 Leaves and will say in terms of efficiency this location is up to par but the quality and consistency of their drinks here aren't the same.
