The person making my drink was nice and suggested black tea instead of green tea, which I didn't mine. I received my drink and quickly left to drive back to work. Their almond milk tea is subtle. Much water, less tea, and barely any almond taste. Their boba is chewy like taro or mochi jelly, but bland. Absolutely bland. So bland that I couldn't really fathom finishing my drink. I didn't reach the halfway mark and just tossed the rest. I don't think I will be back. I should have stuck to my choices, because the boba and tea aren't good. We immediately reported the issue to the staff. The manager on duty, Rufonso, came over but did not first apologize sincerely or check whether my child was okay. Instead, he simply handed us a free drink coupon and said that was all he could offer. We explained that we did not want a free drink coupon and asked if there could be a discount or another form of compensation for the affected meal. Rufonso told us our only options were either the drink coupon or replacing the meal. When I said we did not want the drink coupon because we do not often drink those beverages, he said there was nothing else he could do. He then took the drink coupon back and walked away with a very poor attitude. Honestly, this was the first time I have experienced such unprofessional and dismissive behavior from a manager. I have visited different Ten Ren locations before, and I have also eaten at this location several times during lunch. I have never experienced anything like this. Later, after they saw me taking photos of the food and the foreign object, they sent a trainee over to tell us they were willing to void the affected meal. While I appreciate that the meal was eventually voided, it honestly felt like this decision was only made after they noticed I was documenting the issue. The most concerning part is that this foreign object was found in my child's food. What if my child had accidentally eaten it? Food safety should be taken seriously, especially when children are involved. On top of that, the free drink coupon they initially offered had an expiration date written on it, which made the whole situation feel even more careless and unprofessional. I hope Ten Ren will take this matter seriously, review its food safety procedures, and provide better training for managers on how to handle customer concerns with professionalism and respect.

Donuts: The donuts are pretty, that's for sure. Plenty of options and donuts I think ranged in pricing depending on the specialty level. The ones we got range from $4-$7. We got half a dozen donuts along with breakfast items & coffee to try. We got the ube mochi, hello kitty character, unicorn, Banana Pudding, Oreo and Nutella donuts to try. The design are very eye catching for sure. Donuts are nice and fluffy and packed with flavors. Kids really enjoyed them. They're a bit pricey and not something you can regularly buy in this type of economy on a daily basis. To me, they're fun to buy for special occasions and that's probably what we'll do for birthdays or events. For the food, we got a PD breakfast burrito. They offered to cut it in half. The burrito itself is already $16. They asked if we wanted to add cheese or avocado. I was curious and did it. We added cheese and avocado at an extra cost to it. Cheese was $1 and Avocado was $2.50. Extra salsa was 51 cents. It's the size of my hand and a hefty looking burrito. At that point, it's really a questionable choice of why am I spending almost $20 on a burrito.. Haha but it was a decent burrito but in the end, everything was an extra cost after the initial order of the item. Would I buy it again? No. Was it worth it? Not really. But definitely good to try if you are craving a breakfast burrito and don't mind the price. Drinks: We ordered the Ube Vietnamese coffee and Sea Salt Cold Brew. We added an extra shot to the cold brew. The cold brew was good. The Ube Vietnamese coffee was good too. It's a premade coffee drink and not customizable. It's more on the sweeter end than a traditional Vietnamese coffee. I usually like it not as sweet but it was the combo that I was curious about and went with it. Good flavors. Wished the coffee was a bit more bolder for the Vietnamese coffee part but it's not bad. Service was nice and friendly. Everyone was very approachable and I appreciated the explanations and recommendations while deciding.
