That is what I got with this restaurant's shrimp coconut korma. It had a very lovely, aromatic taste. Staff were friendly, and the interior is very modern looking. We ordered Mango Lassi, Samosa, Hyderabad chicken dum biryani, and Thalapakatti goat biryani. The chef delivered the food to our table and asked how was the food. They were very good. The aromatic spices from the biryani were amazing. We love the chicken dum biryani more over the goat biryani. It was a bit too spicy for our taste bud. We'll definitely come back for more to try out other flavors on the menu. And we love both samosa and creamy mango lassi. The restaurant is located inside Legends Outlet, facing opposite from the cinemark theater and on the other side of Grimaldi pizza. Was very excited to try this restaurant as it has items on the menu I've never heard of before. The Mirchi Bajji was my least favorite out of the four dishes we tried. Pure heat but bland also with too many onions but no regrets on trying something new. The uthappam was so delicious with huge portions and will definitely be back for more. We also had palak paneer and lamb kadai. Both were delicious. The lamb was ordered with medium spice and felt it was lacking on the spice a bit but that could have been to the spicy level of the mirchi bajji had already numbed my mouth some. Usually visiting 7-Spices is a great experience. Not this Saturday (4/18). They were not very busy and it took nearly two hours! We got our Tandoori chicken (cold) and the rest of our vegetable dishes and naan an hour later only after stating we will pay for the one dish and leave. All the other tables that were seated with us/after us, completed their meals before us. The issue became clear when we were leaving. They were spending all their time supporting a large catering event, when we saw them roll out nearly a dozen chaffing dishes on carts. They need to improve how to balance and prioritize dining in customer compared to to-go and catering orders. Poor service balancing dining customers and catering. A poor business model! The food is typically good but the owners and workers need training in restaurant management and customer service. read more

Ok first things first. Spicy mean's spicy. Extra spicy. Yeah just don't if you don't have the pallete. You will hurt. But god the spice hurt soooo good! To start off, the ambiance is a little vanilla for the "Indian" atmosphere but it can grow. The background music is definitely Bollywood. You can definitely smell the spices and food being cooked. To start, we had ordered the Chicken Noodles (pretty good, they can definitely develop a little more on this), Mirchi Bajji (gram flour battered jalapenos split in the middle and filled with red onions and cilantro - yes def spicy), Chicken 65 (marinated chicken pieces with curry leaves covered with red onions, lemons for citrus squeeze and cilantro chutney for dipping), and my star of the show, Lamb Pepper Masala (pieces of lamb in a HEAT driven curry sauce) with comped Basmati rice. Food really hits! As far as service goes, nothing like the owner coming up to you to ask about your day, if you have questions about the food, what your mood is so that food comes out to right to hit you in the feels. Absolutely delicious - my new favorite place in the Reno/Sparks area for Indian food! I've had take out from here a couple times it was great, though nothing beats eating inside the restaurant where you can enjoy everything while it is piping hot and fresh. Today I had the masala dosa and the lamb kadai. The dosa was huge (as you can see in the pictures); the crepe itself was light and crispy, and the masala filling hot and flavorful. The lamb kadai was packed with flavor and the meat was tender. The servers were kind and the atmosphere comfortable. (A tip on Indian cuisine in general is to beware of food that has a lot of oil in it ) One of the reasons that I love 7 spices is that they cook to order through lunch and dinner service. I read one review about dinner timing talking a bit honestly it's worth the wait as your taste buds with explode with the flavor! I personally have15 years of Indian cuisine cooking in my home and I testify that it's a very time consuming for slow cook and layer flavors. The service was sweet and attentive and we didn't have to wait long for anything, water was refilled without even having to ask, we were sat quickly and our order was taken with a perfect amount of time between ordering. Now to the food. The food was neat and sooo yummy. We had the shrimp 65 for appetizer and oh my god the flavor was explosive and the colors were gorgeous. Where do I begin, we got seated at 12:10pm and the waitress didn't take our order until 12:30pm. We waited 25 minutes for an appetizer that takes 10 minutes to make. I didn't think it would happen, but I actually found a new favorite Indian restaurant amongst the absolute juggernauts we have in Reno.. 7 Spices has some of the most well-seasoned and fresh Indian food I've had in a long time. The flavors, spices and care put into each dish was so apparent, I could not stop talking about how good it was as we ate. The sauces and curries? Flavor nuke. The meat? Tender and moist. The veggies? Cooked to perfection. The naan? Fluffy, puffy and flavorful. You seriously can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their dosa is great and they have a ton of varieties that make a complete dish on its own. The service was great too, and we didn't realize we came in a bit before closing before dinner and they didn't rush us at all. The server held down the whole front on her own. The space is pretty large inside and has some nice decor here and there, but could use something to liven it up a bit! We went there for lunch on a whim because It must be new and it was so good! The staff are all so friendly and attentive. The chicken tikka masala is top tier and I was surprised how good the goat curry is because I'm picky about my goat/lamb dishes. The garlic naan is thin and crispy verses other places I've had but they tasted fine. Nice place open seating tables with chairs and booths. Tried this new Indian restaurant a few months ago and then we decided to give them another go both times we have been there the service has been great. Staff is super friendly and will make great recommendations. If you're unsure of what to get my standard go to is always butter chicken, and theirs does not disappoint. We also always order garlic naan and theirs is top-notch. We also ordered a onion stuffed naan which was great. It was a little on the spicy side, but it was still lovely. It was creamy and delicious. The 7 spice special goat curry had such a complex flavor, very pleasant. The garlic naan was thin and crusty on the edges, the perfect addition to any curry.
