Indian Kebab and Curry recently hosted a dinner night for educators as a meaningful expression of appreciation for the community, and the experience was exceptional. The cuisine was of outstanding quality, each dish was thoughtfully prepared, richly flavored, and beautifully presented, reflecting a high level of culinary expertise. Equally impressive was the service; the staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, creating a warm and memorable dining atmosphere. This establishment has been a valued staple in the community for over 20 years, an achievement that speaks not only to its consistency but also to its commitment to excellence in both food and hospitality. Their generosity and dedication to the community are truly commendable. I highly recommend supporting this remarkable local business.

Pro's: It's been awhile since I have been here...they renovated and it looks really good. Con's: Silly one, but would have been nice to have Indian music playing. Go back?: Absolutely More... Expecting some good chicken Tikka Masala and not, fresh Naan bread, my date suggests we go all-in on the Royal Feast for like $44 pp. Wow, was THAT fun! What a great price point to get to try so many new items, sauces, chutneys that I have never had. But there is something about dipping Naan bread in Tikka Masala sauce that is akin to cheese fondue...so crazy delicious! The Tandoori chicken was full of flavor and oh so tender. Everything was great...what a fun way to experience this restaurant and Indian cuisine. Service was great, too.

I really like India Kabab & Curry! Big menu with lots of meat + vegetarian options, nice décor, and super friendly staff. We had butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and rice. Butter chicken = fantastic--creamy, flavorful, medium spice had just the right kick. Tikka masala tasted good but the chicken was pretty dry. Garlic naan was crisp but all the garlic was clumped in the middle (wish it was spread out more). Mango lassi was DELICIOUS. Only downside: it was really quiet inside--some music would've made the vibe better. Overall: solid spot, not perfect, but I'll definitely be back.

I came here for lunch for the first time in years and it was perfect for a quick work lunch. The buffet was hot and fresh, the service was great and the price is an excellent value.

I forgot to review this place from the last time I was in Reno. I was commenting there weren't any buffets left in Reno except those Chinese buffets. My friend said there was this Indian buffet that was decent. Most Indian restaurants in CA offer a lunch buffet, but I think this is the only one in Reno anymore. India Kabab and Curry was easy to find with GPS, but you gotta know the parking is in the back, down a side alley. I know to get to any buffet at opening when the food is the freshest. Lunch buffet starts at 11am for $15.99 per person, which is about the same as that Chinese buffet. Inside is actually very elegant and nice. We sat at a booth and went directly up to the buffet. Service was quick and efficient at keep water filled and plates cleared. As with most Indian Buffets, naan bread is included, all you want. Garlic or plain are the choices. Up at the buffet line of food, they had my most fave Tandoori chicken and Tikka Masala. All the other choices looked a little mysterious to me, so I stuck with the tandoori chicken mostly. It was good to see the chicken pieces were thighs and drumsticks, no junk pieces like the back or rib cage. I had one buffet where they just had all the junk pieces at the buffet cause they were saving the good pieces for the ala carte entree's. OMG! My first bite into that tender theigh was wonderful. So moist and tender with that tandoori flavor. This was one of the best tandoori chicken I've ever had! We both ate our fill! I was surprised the restaurant at lunch wasn't more busy, but I like a quiet lunch! For $20 bucks each including tax and tip, it was well worth it. Next time I'm in town I'll come back here!

Ample fresh servings of buffet entrees.

My wife and I had been desiring some Indian cuisine and we decided on mid-town. We arrived at about 11:25 and the timing was perfect for that particular Friday. Drink service was delivered immediately upon seating. We returned with full plates, and garlic pita was served to complement our selections. ( plain is also available) The decor is very nice and themed as an Indian Cafe. The food quality in my opinion deserves four stars, however, I discounted my score 1star due to a bathroom deficiency. The men's restroom had a stale odor and was not as clean as one would expect, as close to opening time as we arrived. All in all a very god buffet value.

This place has been right "under my nose" for years, and I had never tried it. Who knew I like Infian food? Food: So many delicious flavors. The sauteed mushrooms and onions were the first taste. Followed by a a bite of everything on the buffet line. Decor/dining environment: Quiet! A pleasant experience for sure, especially for a single diner. Staff: Super friendly and helpful. Explsined each entree to me and the best way to taste/eat it. Price: $15.99 lunch buffet I'm excited to earn the Online Order Discount to enjoy this after a looooong day driving up and down S Virginia Street.

I've been wanting to stop by this place forever! Came by today and it was very good. We did their lunch buffet - they have a lot of options and they're all hot and fresh. They bring you either garlic or regular naan which was good too! The environment is super cute and welcoming, it was overall very good and we will definitely be back. :)

I have been coming here for over a decade and am never disappointed. The buffet is my preference. I like a variety. But if you just want a single dish, go for the Tika Masala! The service is prompt and professional. The eating area is very clean, but almost too formal. And it could have more modern feel which would make the experience that much better!

I'm finally updating after all of these years. I haven't been in here since a Yelp event that was awesome and previous to that visit almost 9 years. I felt it was time to revisit. I came in for date night since we were going to hang in midtown and meet another couple for a drink afterwards. We both agreed on Indian. We ordered a dinner for two, but we were super disappointed because our food wasn't hot nor did it seem fresh. I felt it was maybe reheated leftovers from their buffet. There was only one other couple dining in and plenty to-go orders. Our server at first was rushing, but we were in no rush. Our dinner was supposed to include naan, I ordered garlic naan which was extra, but we should have still had the plain side. Our food took a bit to arrive and the lentil soup was probably my favorite part of my meal besides their garlic naan. The mark was missed horribly on this visit. Sadly, it may be sometime again before or if we return.

The lunch buffet here is always solid. Service is fast and the buffet pricing is super reasonable too. The special chicken and tiki masala are some of our favorites!

I've been stopping into Indian Kabab & Curry for my Indian food fix basically forever. It's always been spot I can rely on to get a good flavorful meal time and time again. They have a pretty long menu with sooo many varieties of delicious naan, none of which disappoint. The service is always on point and the bollywood movies or music videos they have going on the TVs are a fun change of pace. This visit I enjoyed the chicken tikka masala with some mozzarella naan. The tikka masala is spiced just right and goes great with the side rice.

My kids came with this time and enjoyed the pineapple shrimp curry and the mango curry (I forget…read morethe unique name of the mango dish but on the menu it had a crown icon and was not the mango one with the basil)-- both entrees were ordered in mild. These flavors were completely new to me, I've never had curries from an Indian restaurant that tasted like these. The pineapple curry was sweet but a little tangy and reminded me a bit of Thai curry (perhaps turmeric was really elevated in this curry?). The mango curry was also very sweet, it almost tasted like a sweetened butter chicken curry (specifically the northern Indian version of butter chicken-- if you know, you know). My son said the sweet flavor of the mango chicken curry reminded him of orange chicken from Chinese takeout and funny enough I thought it actually kinda did too! While these dishes were a hit with the kids (ages 7, 5, and 2) most adult tastebuds would prefer ordering them with at least some spice to balance out the intense sweetness (otherwise it can just seem "1 note"-- but 1 note "mild" was absolutely perfect for our young children who find even ground black pepper to be "spicy" haha). Maharaja Royal Bites, you just keep impressing me! I'm super happy we found these kid friendly options in your menu. Oh, ps, the kids LOVED their fried chicken appetizer too! Yelpers, ahelpful tip, we've noticed that here a "mild" spicy level can vary based on the dish. Sometimes it means literally no spice (like in the kid-friendly pineapple shrimp and mango curry) and other times we have found that it meant "yes, there is spice, and it's certainly more noticeable than black-- or even white ground-- pepper).

There's no complaints there, but they didn't have Bhindi Ali, their Okra dish, it saddened me some. The rest of the meal I hoped would make up for it. We enjoyed their sampler (assorted snacks) which were an assortment of meat samosa, veggie samosa, chicken pakora, veggie pakoras and Aloo tikki. Delicious yet sizable bites to get you going. Their Lamb Curry, wonderfully made, tender. The sauce it was made with was delicious, the protein itself was gamy as to be expected, but day two after taking some home and eating it, not as much. Their Saag Paneer is what you would expect from most Indian restaurants, served piping hot, good cubes of cheese for texture and added flavor. Their Chicken Tikka masala was delicious, creamy, flavorful along with their garlic naan and of course we had to get Mango Lassis to drink. These are go to's in my opinion to determine your experience. They have to get these right and they didn't disappoint. The service was good, our waiters and hosts were kind and accommodating, I even got a little bit of history behind some of their wall art, the ambience was average, plenty of patrons holding conversations, enjoying meals, the music wasn't too loud from what I can recall, but it definitely carried the average volume. All in all, a wonderful visit. I recommend you try it for yourself.

Being the first time I ordered the lamb korma, I didn't know what to expect, it was different from what I envisioned, we all commented that it was too sweet. Thankfully, Yelp led me to this convenient haven of flavor, and we finally got to try it last week with a takeout order. We ordered the chicken tikka, chana masala, garlic naan, and samosas.
