We were greeted with a warm smile and a basket of top notch garlic naan. We headed up to the buffet. It was the standard mix of rich sauces on a variety of vegetables, legumes, chicken or fish. The lunch buffet is a reasonable $17.99. The decor, upbeat videos and music, and flavors are all authentic and add to the experience. This is an OG in the growing Indian food scene in Reno. I can remember coming here before I had even heard of Yelp. (at least 20 years ago) Thank you and we wish India Kabab an abundance of success in 2026.

What a lovely time. I really enjoyed the naan and chicken. The mango lassi was amazing. I really appreciated the staff, they were so kind. They were very helpful. I will definitely be back!

I tried their dine for two option and had their mango margarita. I loved the samosas and the buttered chicken (medium spice) ! Opted for their classic chicken masala (medium spice) and had plenty of leftovers to go after. Perfect for friends, family or a date night. I will come back to try their lunch buffet!

Pro's: It's been awhile since I have been here...they renovated and it looks really good. Con's: Silly one, but would have been nice to have Indian music playing. Go back?: Absolutely More... Expecting some good chicken Tikka Masala and not, fresh Naan bread, my date suggests we go all-in on the Royal Feast for like $44 pp. Wow, was THAT fun! What a great price point to get to try so many new items, sauces, chutneys that I have never had. But there is something about dipping Naan bread in Tikka Masala sauce that is akin to cheese fondue...so crazy delicious! The Tandoori chicken was full of flavor and oh so tender. Everything was great...what a fun way to experience this restaurant and Indian cuisine. Service was great, too.

I really like India Kabab & Curry! Big menu with lots of meat + vegetarian options, nice décor, and super friendly staff. We had butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and rice. Butter chicken = fantastic--creamy, flavorful, medium spice had just the right kick. Tikka masala tasted good but the chicken was pretty dry. Garlic naan was crisp but all the garlic was clumped in the middle (wish it was spread out more). Mango lassi was DELICIOUS. Only downside: it was really quiet inside--some music would've made the vibe better. Overall: solid spot, not perfect, but I'll definitely be back.

Indian Kebab and Curry recently hosted a dinner night for educators as a meaningful expression of appreciation for the community, and the experience was exceptional. The cuisine was of outstanding quality, each dish was thoughtfully prepared, richly flavored, and beautifully presented, reflecting a high level of culinary expertise. Equally impressive was the service; the staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, creating a warm and memorable dining atmosphere. This establishment has been a valued staple in the community for over 20 years, an achievement that speaks not only to its consistency but also to its commitment to excellence in both food and hospitality. Their generosity and dedication to the community are truly commendable. I highly recommend supporting this remarkable local business.

I came here for lunch for the first time in years and it was perfect for a quick work lunch. The buffet was hot and fresh, the service was great and the price is an excellent value.

I forgot to review this place from the last time I was in Reno. I was commenting there weren't any buffets left in Reno except those Chinese buffets. My friend said there was this Indian buffet that was decent. Most Indian restaurants in CA offer a lunch buffet, but I think this is the only one in Reno anymore. India Kabab and Curry was easy to find with GPS, but you gotta know the parking is in the back, down a side alley. I know to get to any buffet at opening when the food is the freshest. Lunch buffet starts at 11am for $15.99 per person, which is about the same as that Chinese buffet. Inside is actually very elegant and nice. We sat at a booth and went directly up to the buffet. Service was quick and efficient at keep water filled and plates cleared. As with most Indian Buffets, naan bread is included, all you want. Garlic or plain are the choices. Up at the buffet line of food, they had my most fave Tandoori chicken and Tikka Masala. All the other choices looked a little mysterious to me, so I stuck with the tandoori chicken mostly. It was good to see the chicken pieces were thighs and drumsticks, no junk pieces like the back or rib cage. I had one buffet where they just had all the junk pieces at the buffet cause they were saving the good pieces for the ala carte entree's. OMG! My first bite into that tender theigh was wonderful. So moist and tender with that tandoori flavor. This was one of the best tandoori chicken I've ever had! We both ate our fill! I was surprised the restaurant at lunch wasn't more busy, but I like a quiet lunch! For $20 bucks each including tax and tip, it was well worth it. Next time I'm in town I'll come back here!

Ample fresh servings of buffet entrees.

My wife and I had been desiring some Indian cuisine and we decided on mid-town. We arrived at about 11:25 and the timing was perfect for that particular Friday. Drink service was delivered immediately upon seating. We returned with full plates, and garlic pita was served to complement our selections. ( plain is also available) The decor is very nice and themed as an Indian Cafe. The food quality in my opinion deserves four stars, however, I discounted my score 1star due to a bathroom deficiency. The men's restroom had a stale odor and was not as clean as one would expect, as close to opening time as we arrived. All in all a very god buffet value.

This place has been right "under my nose" for years, and I had never tried it. Who knew I like Infian food? Food: So many delicious flavors. The sauteed mushrooms and onions were the first taste. Followed by a a bite of everything on the buffet line. Decor/dining environment: Quiet! A pleasant experience for sure, especially for a single diner. Staff: Super friendly and helpful. Explsined each entree to me and the best way to taste/eat it. Price: $15.99 lunch buffet I'm excited to earn the Online Order Discount to enjoy this after a looooong day driving up and down S Virginia Street.

I've been wanting to stop by this place forever! Came by today and it was very good. We did their lunch buffet - they have a lot of options and they're all hot and fresh. They bring you either garlic or regular naan which was good too! The environment is super cute and welcoming, it was overall very good and we will definitely be back. :)

I for one love my dining cuisine like I love my romances, plentiful and leaving me desiring nothing but to drift off into deep blissful slumber. Well here at the J casino I can assure you that even though this buffet doesn't look like much at first glance it packs a powerful wallop. There is no skipping the line, even if you are a higher tiered member. I actually like that because I find it to be fair. Just the way the good lord intended we eat at places of convenience. Luckily the line wasn't too long and the person behind the register was swift. Next our server was great! Her name was Janet and she also works as a nurse practitioner for elderly people, and you would think that would make her slower or perhaps a little too exhausted to keep at it, but to our surprise she was beyond helpful and the service was excellent. The buffet has crab legs, mini pizzas, salads, pastas, and desserts there's plenty of variety and lots of friendly faces to assist you if you should need anything. The overall environment seems eager to help. Very much recommended this place, it's one of my new staples in my diet.

The overall quality varies but they do usually have snow crab legs at dinner regularly, which is the main reason we would choose this buffet. (Atlantis only does crab on the higher priced weekends). They recently did a special Crab event at $80pp and there was no line at all, probably just too expensive in this economy. They had cold Jonah claws, snow and Dungeness clusters, mini crab cakes, and crab soup. They also advertised King crab but what they had was just the skinny tips which you were given a ticket for one plate. Not worth the price paid, but the cold crab was good quality. I would say thier higher priced special nights just aren't worth it, but the regular weekday with locals discount is decent. That should tell you everything you need to know. Our first interaction was with the buffet manager Vasco and he set the tone immediately. Warm, engaging and genuinely personable. Our server Jose on Saturday was attentive and kind throughout the entire evening and our server on Sunday was equally as wonderful, I just wish I had caught his name. Now let me talk about the food because I know what you might be thinking. If you have been to one casino buffet you have been to them all. That was not the case here. Everything I tasted was good and I mean everything. Not one miss between my husband and me all night. But the dessert selection is what really got me. I have been to cruises, all inclusive resorts and plenty of casino buffets and the dessert spread here stood out. We are talking large slices of cheesecake, cookies, apple fritters, glazed donuts, lava cake, red velvet cupcakes, beignets, what tasted like gelato with toppings and so much more. My husband was especially happy about the apple fritters. Oh and I cannot leave this out. When I walked up to the register Sunday morning the cashier complimented my dress and honestly it just made my whole morning. Little things like that go a long way. Overall a really wonderful experience both days. The food, the service and the people made it memorable. We will definitely be back.

I came here during the holiday, Mother's Day, which had an influx of guests at the restaurant. The server throughout my dining experience was Tori. She was recently hired as a new server and wasn't too knowledgeable about the menu as of yet. With that being said, I desired to show patience and grace since she was still in the training stage. I proceeded to order the following items for dinner: * Oysters on the Half Shell (6) * Lobster Bisque Bowl * $29 Special - Filet Mignon & Jumbo Shrimp with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes The entire occurrence presented as quite interesting, to say the least. I first received the oysters. It had arrived with an empty serving vessel, which was supposed to be filled with the mignonette sauce. Tori quickly fixed this mistake. The oysters met expectations in terms of freshness and quality. They were very delicious with the mignonette sauce, cocktail sauce, and lemon juice. Then, I received the Lobster Tomato Bisque. The soup was lacking in flavor and needed help in the seasoning department. I grabbed the peppercorn grinder, which was readily available at the table. Upon twisting the grinder, a lot of peppercorns fell into the soup unfortunately. I kindly requested that Tori replace the soup. A nearby table had the same situation, where an individual had a bunch of pink salt spill over the baked potato dish. Tori was also their server. I noticed that Tori pointed at me and mentioned to the party that I did the same action. When making that observation, I was quite embarrassed. I understood that Tori was trying to make the other table feel better but the finger-pointing provided a slightly unpleasant feeling to me. I finally received the Filet Mignon & Jumbo Shrimp with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes as the entree. However, it took a total of 1.5 hours to arrive at the table. It was quite long and a little frustrating, especially since I've noticed that a couple of parties that seated after me ordered the same meal deal and their food arrived before mine. The steak and shrimp were delectable. The green beans were bland (used butter, pepper + salt) and the mashed potatoes were decent in flavor. All in all, the evening at Boomtown Steakhouse was underwhelming. From the food taking a while to come out, sitting down at a wobbly table, the soup tasting bland, and the overall hospitality from Tori, the experience left some room to be desired. At the end, I truly appreciated the complimentary chocolate mousse dessert. This offering made up slightly for everything that had transpired. I don't recommend visiting this restaurant on a holiday, including Mother's Day. When I decide to return here, it will be on a regular weekday.

This spot gets busy and the wait time can be long. Once seated, you get a rundown of how everything works. If you have been to a Brazilian steakhouse before, you'll be familiar with the set up. You have a chip to flip to green if you want to be offered more and then it can be flipped to red to signal you are taking a break. Wait staff are very observant and offer meats if your chip is green. It was nice when wait staff asked if there was an option we had not gotten to try yet and he made it a point to make sure it came our way at some point during the meal. I was disappointed with how some of the meat was cooked but it's understandable since it's a large portion to be served to everyone. Some of the lamb and sirloin were very dry. The tri tip and rib eyes were the best. Their salad bar in the middle is unlimited but of course you don't want to fill up on sides. I'd suggest the scallop potatoes and the mushroom risotto. Lots of drink options and wine. They were coming around serving a liquer 43 cocktail which was actually incredibly enjoyable. A little bit of a caffeine kick to get you through the heavy meal.
