We were looking for a good local restaurant and found this place on Yelp. We did not know that we needed a reservation on a Friday night. The restaurant is a tiny place in a residential neighborhood, the kind of place my husband and I like to frequent. There is also a large alcohol selection, including local tap houses. A table opened up at the last minute, so we got in. We were seated about 7:00, and they were out of prime rib. The sever acted annoyed that she had another table as she was already busy. She was not very attentive to our table, such as brining us bread. I ordered the "world famous" ribs, which were good, but not world famous quality. I asked the server how many ribs come in the 1/4 and 1/2 rack, and she seemed annoyed with my question. You can choose traditional or hot, and I chose traditional. I chose au gratin potatoes, which came out burned (see photo). All in all, this is not a place I would recommend given the many restaurant choices in the area. read more

I'm not sure if this was a normally busy Saturday or if it was out of the norm, but the kitchen was EXTREMELY behind when we went for dinner this weekend. We had a reservation so we were seated right away, after we ordered our soup choices arrived shortly thereafter. Then we sat, and sat, and sat. Our server did keep us updated but it was about 35 minutes after our soup that our order came. I order the ribs and chicken combo. My fried chicken was cold and uncooked in the center!!! They have awesome all you can eat Fish Fry on Thursday and Friday nights. The ingredients taste fresh (I had the broiled scallops, medium rare steak, and house salad). They seem to make their own house dressing (AWESOME!), and the meal is served with warm smiles from the staff. My boyfriend's mom says they make the best burger, and she is the expert. read more

Our family of 6 enjoyed an awesome meal at Eddie's following our son's graduation from UM Duluth. It's off the beaten path but well worth it. I had the steak and broiled scallops combo, another had the ribeye, and the others had the fried chicken. Some of the best food we've had out. Wish I had photos. But, I was too busy enjoying my meal. I'm not sure where the "world famous ribs" claim comes from. Though the ribs were cooked perfectly, and the portion was generous, the sauce gets an "eh, it's okay." The star of the meal was the basket of hot biscuit/rolls that came to the table steaming hot with a basket of butter. The kids menu was typical, though the portion was barely enough for my grandson (7). Our waitress was extremely slow, but the other waiter in the dining area was super fast and on the ball. If I went back, I'd bring my own BBQ sauce (from Pepito's Mexican Restaurant in Minneapolis - their ribs are out of this world, top notch!) I wouldn't not go to Eddie's, just don't expect a meal that would be worthy of a "world famous" title. read more

I've loved Eddie's for years. There aren't many great restaurants in Superior, but this one knows what they're doing. The car-themed exterior and the interior aren't much to write home about (this is a come-as-you-are joint). The food is the star here. Most people head to Eddies' for the rack of ribs or the prime rib - and really, you can't go wrong with either. Entrees come with your choice of potato and soup or salad and they'll be a basket of warm rolls delivered to your table. We always start with the onion rings and the handmade muenster drive sticks which are fabulously salty and delicious. The menu is full of steaks, chops and seafood. I'm partial to the fried chicken dinner. It's even better as leftovers. Service is friendly and reservations are a must during busy weekend nights. read more

Got one slab of ribs to go. Baked beans. Caesar Salad. Very friendly prices. The ribs were a very generous portion. One slab will make 2 meals for my wife and I. Fall off the bone tender. Made a reservation two days ago and they lost it. No apologies, bad customer focus. Had a burger and asked for rare, came back medium. Was dry and not very tasty. There are much better places to go in the twin ports. The crowd was dominated by the "over 60 group" and they don't seem to make any effort to attract the younger folks. Kind of a strange hybrid restaurant. Mix of a supper club and car themed drive thru from the 50's. The food was distinctly home made. But tasted a little plain and old fashioned for my liking. My husband and I went to Eddie's just last night after an awful experience trying to get waited on at the Dreamland. We were really happy to have gone to Eddie's. The waitress was very professional and greeted us when we walked in the door, seated us in a very nice spot, and we had a terrific meal. There is no comparison between Dreamland and Eddies. I must say the waitress was great. With that said, I sent my steak back to have them cook it a bit more. (I ordered Medium, it was raw). I waited approx 20 minutes then the waitress said they burnt it and hes cooking another one. After approx 20 more minutes they brought out my dinner. Mind you they gave me the same hashbrowns that were on my plate 40 minutes ago. I cut into the steak and again it was raw. I have had decent food here before but this time it was a joke.
