Used this company to exchange a water heater that was still under warranty. I will list the pros and cons for simplicity PROS *Quick to respond CONS *Do not provide an itemized cost breakdown for work to be done or work that has been completed *No transparency at all. You have to ask repeatedly to get any sort of information *When I finally got some cost details, I realized why they are not transparent. $350 to replace the supply lines at the top of the water heater. Took a total of 4 minutes to complete. $225 to replace a sediment trap. 5 minutes. *When I asked plumber Chris about the high costs, he was incredibly disrespectful, raising his voice. I can go on with a lot more but I'm sure the picture is clear. I will not be using this company again. There are licensed plumbers out there that are transparent and much more reasonable in cost. read more

I had called who I thought was a plumbing company I normally use. I was in need of a plumber to replace the valve that goes to my refrigerator. The woman who answered advised they could send someone out between 11-1PM. I accepted the appointment time as my new refrigerator was being installed the next morning. The plumbers arrived in the time frame and advised the price would be $525.00. They knew we needed the repair as our old refrigerator was broken. It was either proceed or lose my food. They completed the work. Cleaned up. After they left my husband informed me they were laughing about us as they knew they over charged us by around $200.00. I will never call a company in an emergency without checking with other companies again that is on me. And shame on the plumbers for laughing at 2 seniors. Taking advantage should never be a source of your enjoyment you will be a senior one day too! read more

Having to make an emergency replacement is stressful, especially when time isn't on your side, but they were able to provide a great price and I was able to make an appointment the very next day. When they provided the options for our water heater replacement, I didn't feel any pressure to pick one thing over another. They explained the differences/benefits of each option and I felt confident and comfortable with my decision. I was getting estimates from multiple businesses and it was honestly refreshing to not be rushed into making a decision due to an emergency. I had a new Pressure Vacuum Breaker installed that was connected to my pool auto filler about eight months ago. An elbow connection going to the filler began leaking and I called 702 PlumbAir who had installed it. They had guaranteed the installation and new parts previously so I called them back. They sent out a technician the next morning and repaired the problem at no charge. 702PlumbAir does exactly what they promise...they guarantee their work and will fix the problem if one occurs or the part goes bad. Company responded within a few mins of my request for service around 10am. There was a leaking hot water heater at my unit in Las Vegas. Tenants were anxious and PlumbAir agreed to come out between 2-4pm to provide an estimate. It was clear the water heater was very old and needed to be replaced. Carlos the technician who went out provided a step by step process of what was needed. We agreed on a price and by 8:15pm a new water heater had been installed. I was very impressed with Carlos and how thorough he was. I felt price was reasonable and was pleased with the total outcome. I'll definitely reach out if I ever have a plumbing issue again. I have used their plumbers for the last 4 years. Everyone that came to my home were experienced and completed the job to my satisfaction. Last week I used their HVAC techs, Keith and Ely, for the first time. They checked my A/C in the attic as well as outside. The most thorough inspection I ever had for a summer tune up. I had loud humming noises in my A/C when it went on or when I lowered the temperature and now that sound is gone. Very happy with these two techs. My main water line was damaged, which caused leaking out of my front yard onto the sidewalk. It leaked like a waterfall. Called PlumbAir and they got Tony out to assess the leak the same day. Tony and his team came out to replace the pipes the very next day. They came early and were efficient, friendly, and informative. I thought that 702 would not show. I was told that I would receive a call back a couple of different times and I had to be the one calling back. My toilet was starting to leak all over and I knew it would get worse based on previous experience. I also know that plumbers are really busy and sometimes they have a backlog of jobs, so I was patient and persistent. 702 PlumbAIR seemed to be the best place to contact because they sounded knowledgeable of how my home warranty worked. I liked this because typically I get push back that is not necessary. Mike arrived and found my problem and told me exactly what was on my mind. I wanted a new toilet to, but the inside of the toilet was what the problem was. He is very knowledgeable and provides great service. He had to come back another day because I had to let my neighbors know that we had to shut the water off for a little bit. He came back a couple days later as scheduled and worked on my toilet. The cost was not very much. I was expecting it to be expensive because my previous experience a few years ago cost me about $1200. I only paid a little over $400. My warranty is covering about $300 of it so it turned out okay. Should more problems come I will definitely be calling 702 PlumAIR. The plumber is affordable, knowledgeable, and provide great service. read more

I needed a dryer vent in my garage. A quick google will tell you this is a job for an HVAC company or a plumber. Relatively simple task that involves a hole and some caulk. I put out the request here on yelp and they responded that they could help and I should get scheduled; so I did. Then I got a call from their Tech asking about specifics of the job, he agreed it was extremely simple, and said I would have an estimate in half an hour. Then I didn't hear anything. So I texted the tech back asking about the estimate. Then they blew off the appointment the next day that I had taken off work for. When I called the office they apologized, and then later I got a text saying they couldn't do the work and I should reach out to a general contractor. Terrible communication and I was misled the whole way through. Avoid. read more

When you live in the desert, you can't take any chances with your AC or water systems. Both can turn into expensive issues very quickly. During our inspection, Arturo with NRS noticed some corrosion and possible past leak at our water heater connections. Chances are these connections are original to our 2004 condo and since we have neighbors downstairs, we want to avoid any leaks that could result in issues that could affect both units. The NRS Team presented us with an estimate that we were pleased with and we scheduled Arturo for today. Arturo called ahead when he was enroute (we appreciate that) and was onsite in no time. Arturo took the time to explain what he would be doing to eliminate a possible issue and make our system more secure. Changing out the old hoses (over 20 years old) and connections to solid copper piping and new connections gives us the peace of mind that you need with plumbing. He also configured it so should we need to replace the hot water heater, the new copper fittings will be easy to disconnect & reconnect. Arturo did an amazing job, kept us informed as he worked and the work area was spotless when he was finished. A true gentleman & professional. We also lost our furniture due to last home making my whole family sick from mold in the HVAc due to leaks. I know the APCOX pricing wholesale, the model I looked at is approx $ 900 dollars. I know the company needs to mark up to install and make a living but the quote I got was way beyond the normal mark up and upselling. The tech quoted that me I needed a duct clean on a 2 year old home, and put a quote for an April Aire that I did not ask for nor discuss into the quote in addition to the APCO X. The quote was an eye popping $11,000 dollars! Not only is this insulting to my intelligence but when I called the company they didn't care.

I made an appointment with Stephanie to get a quote for a new HVAC system. Chris showed up on time and gave me an in-depth explanation on the different HVAC units on the market. He quoted me a cost that kept me within my budget and didn't try to up-sell me. He had the installers in the next day to install my HVAC system. Isaac and Jose were on time and did an amazing job. Isaac also fixed a problem I had with air getting to the bedroom where the new HVAC system was going as part of the work project. Outstanding!!! The drywall repair company sent their drywall repair tech out this morning to repair the ceiling entry to the attic. Amazing job. Now I'm just waiting for the duct cleaning company to come next week to do the free duct cleaning that was included in the promo cost for the system. Saving up now for my second unit. :-) I can say that I am truly impressed with the service Semper Fi has given us so far and hope it continues. And as a veteran, I appreciate the great service Semper Fi has given to the veteran community.

I tried to post this review on Google, and to respond directly to Bob's before posting a review but…read morethey don't have an easy way to give them feedback. They do have polite people and do decent work but I did not have a good experience with their repair business. An annual inspection turned up a couple of small problems - low refrigerant in a system and a nearly failed condenser fan in another. No argument with that conclusion so I said go ahead with fixes. Got the invoice and should have paid more attention - a price gouge of epic proportions. Here's what I sent them that got rejected by their system: PS - registered professional engineer who should have paid more attention. 'I was not here when this work was finished, and I have no issue at all with the technician and work performed. He was professional. I agreed to all of the work. But I regret now not doing additional homework on the cost. A one pound 410a add should cost more like $100 at the high end all in. Easy to find on google or Yelp), given you can get a 25 lb Jug in the range of $250. And yes, there is labor and overhead in that , but for for a 30 minute job $325 seems excessive. I also was able to source the replacement fan motor with an identical Lennox model# from a number of sources- from around $200. Again, that doesn't include labor. So if I'm generous, you got $300 in parts, add 20% for miscellaneous. And yes, I get that there is 'Bob's guarantee' and you have overhead, but an 1800+ bill for less than two labor hours of work, make it 3 with travel time and even at 150 per hour - and maybe 450 in parts and material -the total markup at 2x is to me excessive. Plus your billing is deficient in the level of detail so it's even hard to understand how you could add it up to that much. My wife paid the bill of course, but with these prices even though the service is good I won't be using or recommending Bobs for repairs in the future. I'll do my homework.' PS - last postscript. You may have noticed Bob's no longer responds to Yelp reviews. Must be too busy. Or they don't care. Neither one is a good sign.

The schedule of their team, when items would be finished, what work was complete, what work remained, etc. I even had another project (painting) started while they were there, and they were able to talk with the painters and figure out logistics on their own. * Organization: With a list of nearly 100 items on my list, I appreciate how detail oriented Brian was capturing every item and scoping it out. I don't think he missed a single item from our walk through. * Quality: Everything was done to a high level of standard, and Brian and his team have an eye for detail. They take great pride in what they do and make suggestions to help save money or improve above and beyond original recommendations. * Knowledgeable: Brian and his team are extremely knowledgeable. Given the broad list of items I presented to them, I was impressed how they were able to assess and repair all the items There were so many items they worked on, but I was truly impressed by how they were able to rescue my pool. It had been neglected for months on end and was absolutely overrun with and completely green from algae. Brian was able to get the pool back to a clear blue state without having to drain and chemical wash the entire pool (which would have been much more expensive and risk cracking the pool! It was truly amazing. At the end of the day, it felt like Brian and his team were taking care of their own home. I feel like pricing was fair and very transparent. If you have items you need done around the house, do yourself a favor and contact Quality Handyman Services. You won't regret it.

The dryer duct alone had some massive lint buildup from years of accumulation. Watching what he pulled out of there made me realize how overdue the cleaning was. What really stood out was that he didn't just clean and leave.
