Today was the day. I went out to lunch with my wife and 3 of our kids. And I had my first Cubano sandwich. And it was dang good. I did ask when I ordered it if the pickles were dill or sweet. She said they were a sweet variety. I just told her to 86 the pickles. I apologize but I only like dill. So we all ordered and I went over to sit down. I had to rearrange the tables and chairs. So we could fit a few people. So now we wait. For 4 sandwiches and a salad it took over 1/2 an hour. For that I will say the food was hot and fresh and very good. Some things that I noticed will now be discussed. For dine in this is mostly a place for couples. Not much seating area. There can be a bit of a wait time for your food, might be better to call ahead with an order. Another note is that the menu is mostly just sandwiches and a few salads. When you order a sandwich that is what you get no sides. With all of that out of the way, I will say the food is very good. Its not like blimipies, but I feel like it is closer to Cobbys. I love the ambience. The chairs gives this a unique café feel. I ordered the Americana and it was delicious. I think it is big enough to share. The service here is so so. It is definitely a different personality. A little slow, but you can't have perfection with speed. 702 Sandwich Shop was at one time called La Cantine and still is a REALLY GREAT little sandwich spot in the North West Part of town. They offer high quality fillings and yummy sauces on fresh baked breads. They also offer soup and a few salads, WONDERFUL desserts and really GREAT Macarons. We've been here several times. Each and every time so far each sandwich was great. We also enjoyed a great dessert. And the service was warm, efficient, and friendly. I usually try the special sandwich because they always offer something interesting and great. This time it was a chicken banh mi. WOW it's big and generous! (I took 1/2 home) The roll isn't your average roll. This is a roll with great crunch and structure. The chicken in it is moist and delicious and is also Asian Style. Pickled vegetables, sauce, and all it is very above what you get at most places. My husband usually goes with a menu sandwich. This time he enjoyed the French Dip with tasty well made au jus on the side. I took a bite and it was delicious and full of flavors with tasty moist tender beef. I highly recommend to try a dessert from the dessert case. They are house made here and each one we tried so far was delicious. The Macarons are special. While they have several popular sandwiches, I always like a place that lets you create your own too. I'm also a sucker for Dutch Crunch bread which you can't always find. I ordered a turkey and Swiss on Dutch Crunch bread with greens and ranch dressing. Simple, but delicious. The sandwich was such a generous portion I saved half for another meal. I especially loved the bread, but all of the other ingredients were fresh and tasty. For some reason, I loved the whimsical duck toothpick so much I took it home! The best sandwich shop in Vegas, no contest. Every sandwich I've tried has been phenomenal. Le Gargantua is my favorite, but I've also really enjoyed the Americana, Eiffel Tower and Cuban. The couple who owns the place is extremely nice and helpful. The only bummer here is their hours, but I'll definitely adjust my schedule to get a sandwich occasionally. It's pretty quiet inside and a lot of people call to-go orders, and it's really clean. They recently updated their outdoor sign, so it now says "702 Sandwich Shop" instead of La Cantine. I will always go anywhere that has Dutch Crunch bread. This place not only has Dutch Crunch Bread but they bake it in house according to the guy behind the counter (the owner?)! Sandwiches are big and stuffed with meats and veggies. The Gargantua had jambon de Paris, salami, pastrami and prosciutto. It also had Swiss, avocado, various veggies and this amazing red pepper spread. The chicken noodles was flavorful and paired well with my sandwich. The shops keeper recommended that next time I come I should try their báhn mi - which I will along with a few of their macaron. 5/5 - great value, great food and great service! read more

I met my friend for lunch here. The restaurant is quaint and clean. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. The man who took my order I think was the owner he wasn't very friendly and looked mad. I would give them 5 stars but because he wasn't friendly, they are getting 4 stars. This is an elite sandwich shop. No other way to put it. The quality of ingredients is top notch and the menu is easy to navigate. My daughter wanted a sandwich today so I took her there and she's normally pretty picky about what she eats (based on mood, not on tastes, if she wants something she doesn't want anything else) and she ordered a sandwich with Chicken, Mozzarella, Lettuce and Tomato on a baguette. The chicken wasn't deli meat, but rather this really good breast meat that was seasoned quite well and warmed up to order. The mozzarella wasn't cheap slices, but rather fresh mozzarella and the tomatoes and greens were fresh and good. The bread was also fantastic. The guy there was nice and chill and the restaurant is extremely clean inside. There's literally no sandwich shop for this kind of higher quality sandwich in Las Vegas that compares. They also have Dutch Crunch bread which is very unusual for anywhere outside the Bay Area but my daughter opted for the baguette instead. Will definitely return. read more

Once "LaCantine" this is now 702 Sandwich Shop. Saw this advertised on an Instagram reel like a lot of other people so I decided to come check it out. My hubby and I went to purchase four sandwiches to go and it was somewhat busy around 2 PM. It appears that most of the people who are in their sitting at tables are just waiting for their orders. Very cute and clean inside. We ended up ordering a BYO turkey sandwich on country white bread (which is actually just a thick roll), an Americana, a bahn mi (I prefer pork but their option is chicken) and the gargantua. The price point is right on target, however, they were not as exciting as I hoped they would be. Maybe it's because I purchased them and took them to go to an outdoor play and you need to eat them as soon as you get them? Not so sure but I was expecting the Dutch crumb bread to be ultra crispy and it wasn't. The turkey sandwich was just a turkey sandwich. The gargantua was filled pretty extensively and the Americana was equally enjoyable. I took off one star because this white girl shouldn't be making a bahn mi better than the ethnic group running the establishment (yup my recipe is amazing !!) Would I venture back ?? Probably not ... I hope you're hungry because the sandwiches are huge. As a fan of Monte Cristo sandwiches, the Eiffel Tower sounded similar. I did not know it would be four slices of brioche pressed together, loaded with fillings. I was expecting strip bacon but they were actually bits.
