I reached out to Revolt before coming to town. I described in great detail what I wanted. I was…read moreclear about 12 characters, the size and placement of the tattoo. The only variable I didn't define if the font. I assumed the tattoo artist would know best what would work. For some reason, they wanted me to provide artwork. I get it, you do a lot of work and everybody wants something different, but I just wanted a name and date, since the size was specified, the only thing left to debate was the type style. For some reason, they couldn't or wouldn't quote me, I was told that there was a good chance it would be the shop minimum, but they couldn't confirm and with it being 110 degrees, I didn't want to be shuffling up and down the strip when any competent shop should have been able to quote me in advance. That did in fact happen here, and when the people at Illuminati were clear and told me they would present me with font choice that didn't elevate their quote, I ended up using them. I have no idea how much money flows through Vegas, but when people come here, they come to spend. Pardon me if I like to know in advance what I'm spending. So unless Yelp has changed their policy that a review is a unique experience, I trust that this detailed account of Revolt satisfies the terms and conditions I agreed to. Moderation is great, but without integrity, the review system breaks down.

I know what I wanted was so vanilla, that anyone could not only do it, but do it quickly. If I had a car and parking wasn't an issue, I might have popped in on all the shops I considered, but again, knowing that what I wanted was a 1 on a scale of 1-10 in terms or effort or expertise, I just wanted to know I was going to get what I needed without being ripped-off or dismissed. The shop that I ended up using understood what I wanted, was able to confirm pricing ahead of time and ASSURED ME, IF I CAME IN, I'D BE TAKEN GOOD CARE OF. That didn't happen in my exchange with your staff. *********************************************************** Yelp claims to be a place of integrity, but at times the review system is abused. Reviews are intended to capture an experience. You don't have to spend money or even be a customer to have an experience with a business and that is exactly what I reviewed for Black Spade. Based on that interaction, I continued to request quotes from other vendors before being treated with respect by Illuminati Tattoos. So, unless Yelp has changed their policy and reviews now require a documented exchange of money. That is my first-hand recount of contacting Black Spade. Some times you got to call a spade a spade.

Would not recommend at all. Went into shop July 3rd. Heavy set Hispanic artist was completely rude and cocky refused to add dates to the tattoo I went in for, refused to use the font I suggested and refused to make the font size a little bigger to match my previous tattoo that he would be adding too. Now almost a week and half later my tattoo is scarred beyond compare. I have plenty of tattoos and have been to plenty of shops to know this is unprofessional, and completely out of hand that he charged me $200 for 14 letters and to scar the shit out of me. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP and waste your money. Sent an email as well as called a million times and no one answers and haven't gotten a email back. They are open 24hrs an can't get back to a unhappy customer. Says alot about them! *Will be contacting a lawyer to see what can be done to get my money refunded.* read more

My daughter in love was visiting and wanted a tattoo. I told her I'd been wanting to complete my tattoo representing the victims of October 1, so we started looking bcuz it was around 10:30pm at night. 70Duece had such good ratings we decided to get our tattoos there. Yo this spot is the best frs spike and nick greeted me and my homie while entering the door saying how is your day and offering us magazines and a beverage while we wait we got tatted by noisy I got a little low rider on my left leg looks really nice! My friend and i called to see if their piercer was in (it was 1110pm) and they said yes so we drove over. When we got there, we were greeted and got our paperwork started. Remi came in and was super nice and informative about the type of product you should be using for aftercare on nose piercings (which is what we got). He was nice, funny, and overall a humble person. I came in for a simple rose and left with a detailed rose that was well worth it. Between the great vibe, great work and the great price I was happy, it made my first time in Vegas well worth it. Coming to Vegas, I thought this would be another great opportunity to get a solid tattoo for a reasonable price. I called and emailed shops and 2/3 wouldn't quote me unless I sent them scale artwork. I explained there is no artwork, I want her name and the years she was alive. That was a total of 12 characters and I envisioned her name taking the space of a fortune cookie fortune and the years combined taking the same. Simple, easy and the only factor was the font, but again, I'm agreeable. The two shops that gave me quotes basically told me, "No problem, but our shop minimum is $175-$200. Your work sounds like less, but those are the prices". Now if Koolsville can do a $10 tattoo, certainly something of my scale should qualify for a discount. When I reached out to Illuminati, I was told the shop minimum was $100 and I was encouraged to come in. Lou took excellent care of me. He not only gave me the 12 characters for the shop minimum, but he touched up an existing tattoo of mine for no charge. Come on bro! If there is such a thing as a tattoo lottery, I WON IT. I now have my angel on my arm and received the warmest possible welcome to Las Vegas. This appears to be a shop that will earn your business, your positive review and trust. In general, I'm not a tattoo fan, but I will happily tell anyone I know headed to Vegas, if they are in the market for ink, look up Lou.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves…read more My experience with the tattoo artist Brian was not the issue, but I'm honestly really disappointed with how this turned out. My issue is with the tattoo itself. I had an 11 AM appointment, arrived on time, and had already paid a deposit the day before. For a shop that's recognized as one of the "top 5 tattoo shops in Las Vegas," and all of the 5 star reviews I expected a much higher level of care and attention. I've also tried leaving a review on google 2x and both have been unsuccessful. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this is a permanent mistake made by the artist, not the client. The tattoo is NOT well done. There are visible marks on his hand that were made "by accident," as well as marks underneath and above the tattoo (the random circles and shading) that were never supposed to be there. We only asked for the outline of the car, and it does not reflect what we discussed. He tried covering this up mid tattoo passing it off as "burnout marks" which we denied adding so he had to let us know he "fucked up". He mentioned he had tattooed a full thigh piece the night before, and I can't help but feel like that may have played a role. If that's the case, there should be more consideration around how many hours are being worked and what appointments are being taken, especially when it impacts the quality of permanent work. He did give us our money back, which I appreciate, but that was the least that could've been done considering the situation. Unfortunately, this is something my partner now has to fix. I hope more care and attention is given in the future, especially considering how permanent this work is.

Tob is THE man at this shop! I've been coming to him for a year and each time I leave the shop…read morehappy and ecstatic about my new ink. Tob really takes his time with each of his clients. His attention to detail is second to none. He's also a super nice guy. You can tell how passionate he is about his art from the way he talks about his upcoming projects, trips, and seminars (ps ask him about his sketch book ). His pricing is very reasonable too. Tob is the only guy I will let work on my sleeve and soon I'll be looking to get a large leg piece as well :) The shop itself is kept very clean. Everyone at the shop is very nice and friendly. Definitely recommend!
