I stopped here on a recommendation from my daughter (Twin Foodie) and of course it was firing on all 8 cylinders. Wife got a single cheeseburger and I got the Jalapeno double, with ghost pepper sauce. The fries were GB&D (golden brown and delicious-see pics) and the burgers were juicy and delectable. Got a couple of cold fridge ciggs to compliment and I have to say, this was probably the best sandwich I had in Georgetown. This is a must stop for lunch in G-Town. Great job and keep the smashers alive.

Calling all smash burger fans!! Best smash in DC!! My go to: SPICY JALAPEÑO CHEESEBURGER DOUBLE patty, 100% fresh beef burger served with American cheese, grilled onions, jalapeños and ghost pepper sauce on a Martin's potato bun. Scrumptious! Get in to my belly. Made to order!! Deeeeelish! Fries -- ginormous. Amazing. Bevi -- Mexican Coke. Mmmmmm real cane sugar. Quenched my thirst!! In the heart of Georgetown. Parking a beast in GTown. Chill vibes! I'll be back.

Solid late night burger in Georgetown. They're open late and the small, focused menu keeps things moving along. I was expecting to wait way longer than I did for my Spicy Double Cheeseburger. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Nothing too crazy or over the top. Just a solid burger. Inside the store is some pretty basic and clean. A no frills kind of place. If you're in the area and have a fix for a smash burger, I'd give it a try.

This place is a hidden gem. Parking can be rough as expected, since this place is located in Georgetown. Upon entering the establishment I was greeted by a young lady at the register with a bright smile. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. I explained that this was my first visit, and I feel like the cashier was very patient with me. The store is not very big inside, but appeared to be very clean and fully staffed. I ordered a double cheeseburger, fries and a sprite. It was a short wait for my food, which came out hot and fresh. The fries were some of the best I've had in a while, although they were a bit salty in my opinion. The burger was the star of the show--it was cooked to perfection. The cashier explained to me that the single burger was pretty small, and most people who order the single weren't usually satisfied. This is why I decided on the double. The double was a bit much for me, but so delicious---you can definitely taste that the burgers were fresh as well as the ingredients on top. This spot reminds me of 'Five Guys" and I'd definitely recommend.

These guys are AWESOME! Totally dug the tip jar.

Hubby and I dropped in to check out the place - we ordered ahead on the app - SUPER easy and relatively intuitive! Walked to the counter on arrival, gave our names and picked up our food - EASY BUTTON! You grab your drinks out of the nearby fridge and grab a table (if available). We were lucky to have the place almost to ourselves when we arrived but it quickly filled up. Love the super casual atmosphere and uber-appreciate the tables having not only hand sanitizer but Lysol wipes as well. You don't get plates with your food so you're legit eating off the table (which is fine b/c you obviously have the burger wrapper). Menu is simple which I loved. Places like this usually do what they do WELL. If you've ever watched Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, one of the first things he does is to trim the menu down to a reasonable size, promoting quality over quantity. At this establishment you can get regular, jalapeño or impossible burger (single or double), fries (regular or loaded) and a beverage of choice (again, just off the counter in a couple of large coolers). We grabbed our table, gave it a quick wipe down and dove into our meals - mine was a double cheeseburger, regular fries and a Coke Zero. Husband got the loaded fries (that comes with a patty!). This was legit one of the best smash burgers I've ever had! Potato rolls used for "buns" were perfection! Super soft and not too big - I hate it when over 50% of your "burger" is just a big ole bun. Burgers were greasy and soft with a Burger King style dressing. So freaking tasty! Fries were fresh, well seasoned and crispy! Hubby's loaded fries were ridiculous in the best way possible -- they're essentially a chopped-up 100% all-beef patty, melted American cheese, savory grilled onions, and their signature house sauce. So freaking good! We weren't able to eat it all and grabbed another bag to bring home the leftovers. Huge kudos to the amazing staff! They were extremely friendly and allowed me to snap a pic after telling them how much we loved our meals. Will 100% be stopping back to try the jalapeño burgers next! Thank you!!

Food, service, restaurant overall, 10/10!! This was one of the best burgers I've had in DC! Malika took my order, and she was energetic, fun, knowledgeable, and truly made the experience much more enjoyable. The space is super cozy. There is limited seating indoors, but it looks like there is seating outdoors. The burger was super tasty !! I got a double cheeseburger and it was made fresh, seasoned well, and served quickly. Thank you 7th Street Burger!

It's a good but small hamburger. The burger comes with onions, cheese, pickles and their sauce. The sauce is essentially a Big Mac sauce flavor. Note there is no need to get the side sauce unless you want it for your fries. It's currently on the burger. My recommendation is to get two burgers. The fries are crispy, but the burger is where it's at! The fries almost taste similar to Burger Kings. The menu is pretty basic, but simplicity is key!

I love this burger spot! It's a no frills spot and it hits every time. The staff are always nice and friendly, no matter what time you go and how busy it is. They have a small menu yet has everything you need and even for vegetarians. I do wish they had Diet Coke or any diet soda as an option, but I guess a Coca Cola is nice to have every once in a while. I love their French fries and the burgers are extremely delicious! One of my favorite spots to go to. And they're opened late night!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while because I absolutely love smash burgers. My friend and I came here while we were doing a custom georgetown tour. We wanted a quick snack and both bought the cheeseburgers with jalapeños. The service was quick since we came here close to opening time. It looks almost like a five guys place with the vibe. The burgers were wonderful and well priced! The fries looked good too although I didn't get it for this time. If you're in the area and need a cheap and tasty lunch, absolutely come here!

I normally think that the whole smash burger style craze is over hyped but this was a solid tasty no frills cheeseburger that I'd gladly take over much of what's out there these days. The service was swift. The burger was great. The fries were perfect. It's a nice comfortable and spacious dining area that could've easily been made into a mostly grab and go spot but wasn't and I really appreciate that. It's nice to be able to sit and people watch while enjoying a burger and fries on a busy street. I'm looking forward to popping back in here. Thank you to Yelp for putting me on to this place.

Thanks to Yelps Burger Party I was able to enjoy a complimentary meal. The young man at the register was very nice and knew I was a Yelper as soon as I walked in. My order came out very quickly. I got the cheese burger with everything on it and it was amazing. Because I'm sure I was parked illegally I couldn't eat inside the restaurant but I did devour the burgers as soon as I got into my car. Also those fries, AMAZINGGGGGG. If I'm ever in the Georgetown area and looking for a quick bite I'd definitely grab this meal (extra fries please lol)!

Wow! To be very honest i came pretty hungry, traffic to come here was exhausting. Took me 48 minutes to drive to this spot... BUT. IT WAS SOOOO WORRRTH IT!!! I won't lie I was very disappointed by the menu of the first go, but it makes sense once you eat everything. They have minimal condiments and every burger comes with grilled onions, pickles, American cheese, and their house sauce. I got the double cheese impossible burger and my partner got the double cheeseburger. Along with fries and our coke and sprite! My partner typically needs a boat load of condiments and we did ask for them, but they do not have them. Considering our initial reaction it was entirely understandable! Every bite was heavenly and as we both thought we weren't going to be full, we were 100% satisfied. I couldn't even finish my fries, but holy moly. I am so picky with burgers and there was no complaints at all!!! I don't even like pickles, but i whole heartedly finished every bite. I'm not vegetarian or vegan anymore, but i still love impossible burgers when I don't want to eat meat. I loved both of our burgers, and although I am lactose intolerant...i will sacrifice just for these burgers! I shall return, in hopes of no traffic! Lol I have to even point out how I love that they have lysol wipes and sanitizer!!! Like A+++. I am so OCD and I was so appreciative of that!!!!

If you're looking for an amazing smash burger this is the place!! Everything was delicious, from the quality of the meat, the toasted bun, the melty cheese, the pickles & the sauce. It's no in n out but this could definitely be my favorite east coast burger. We will definitely be returning! Open late, service was fast, they had tables inside to sit & we found street parking just a block over.

Despite having just had a big dinner somewhere else, as I write this, my mouth is watering. My daughter had the wild mushrooms burger and she loved it -- the aioli had the perfect tang to go with the mushroom and Swiss, both burgers were cooked perfectly medium as requested. The old fashioned was just your typical old fashioned with a slice of candied bacon attached to the outside of the glass. We were hoping for something smokier and a little different but it was still a very good Old Fashioned. We shared the chocolate mousse and it was perfection. Yum! If I lived here this would be my new regular spot.

Novice was the bartender and recommended the Proper burger. I added my typical fries and a Diet Coke. The burger came out quickly. Right off the bat, it's visually amazing. A properly stacked Burger is hard to find. The 2 best things about this burger are 1. The taste , and 2. The form of the burger. The taste is absolutely fantastic. The Gouda paired perfectly with the red onions and the perfectly cooked, juicy beef patties. The aioli was just enough and not overbearing, like looking at a painting of a castle and noticing the subtle blurred background of misty forest. The arugula added another layer of flavor that helped kick this burger into the highest echelons of Burger superiority. And of course, the brioche bun was perfect for this style of burger. It kept its shape while I gently smushed it down in my hands. The entire burger kept its shape and didn't fall apart like some other Burgers will. As I sank my teeth into the first bite, the first thing I noticed was all the flavors blending together. Each bite afterwards just added to my mystified and puzzled bewilderment. The texture was moist and soft. As I chewed and swallowed each morsel, I began to think to myself, is this it? Is my search over? Is this the BEST burger in the country? Never had I tasted such a wonderful burger! (Sorry In-N-Out 2x1, raw onions, chopped chilis, toasted bun, you are no longer on the top of my list). As I neared completion of my newly discovered epitome of gluttonous desires, a feeling of sadness started to take over. I would be done with the burger in a few more bites, and with that, my journey would conclude. I sat there, staring at what would be my final bite. The last bit of pleasure in between my slender fingers, still dripping with the juices God had placed there after it was grilled to perfection in the Kitchen. I placed the final delectable piece into my mouth. I spent what felt like an eternity chewing this treasure before finally gulping down the goblet of wonder. What came after was a feeling of pure bliss. I had finally done it. All the years, all the time dedicated to finding the best Burger ever, is complete. I called my wife and told her "Honey, it's time. I'm coming home." The fries were ok.

There Are Hotels. And Then There Is The Jefferson…read more Some places hold history the way marble holds cold, the way a well-appointed room holds silence after a long day of noise. Washington, D.C. is full of those places. Monuments. Halls of power. Streets that hum with the weight of decisions that shaped the world. But The Jefferson sits in a different category entirely. It does not shout its significance. It assumes it. Quietly. Perfectly. The way only a truly great institution can. For a millennial woman who grew up watching The West Wing and Scandal; who came of age believing that proximity to power was a personality trait, walking into The Jefferson feels like arriving somewhere you already knew existed but had not yet been permitted to enter. The lobby does not try to impress you. It simply receives you. Dark wood, dramatic marble,, soft light, the kind of quiet that costs something. I came for an afternoon. I left with a story. It started with a glass of wine and a question. The wine was easy. The question was better. I turned to Mike, the bartender, the kind of professional who carries himself with the quiet competence of someone who has never once doubted a pour, and I asked him directly: how confident are you in making the perfect martini? Sky high, he said. He was not wrong. Gin. A wash of vermouth. Nothing more. Stirred, because some things are not up for negotiation, and James Bond has a lot to answer for. The glass arrived impossibly cold, impossibly clear, with a lemon twist curled inside like a small, elegant secret. The first sip was the kind that makes you set the glass down slowly, look at nothing in particular, and simply exhale. That was the drink. That was the moment. That was The Jefferson saying: you are exactly where you should be. What followed was a burger. But calling it a burger is like calling the Library of Congress a place with books. They heard me. Gluten free toast in place of a bun, no hesitation, no substitution tax levied in the form of a lesser experience. The patty was serious. The cheese was melted with intention. And then, the Dijon. Two small jars of Clovis, the kind of condiment that makes you wonder why you ever settled for anything else. Thick. Complex. The culinary equivalent of a strong opinion delivered with grace. This is what D.C. does to you when you let it. When you stop moving long enough to sit at a bar that has probably hosted quiet conversations that changed things, and you order something beautiful, and you let the afternoon arrive. This city is not just for politicians and lobbyists and people with lanyards. It belongs, equally, to the ones who show up knowing what they want and how to ask for it. Stirred. Not shaken. Before heading to the airport for our flight, we had a few hours to spare and decided to grab some…read morelunch. My husband did a little research and found this burger spot. From start to finish, I have absolutely no negative feedback at all. 1. The Food Everything we ordered was completely divine! Here's the rundown: -Sandwiches: My husband got a Bogan Bun. My son a Mumbo Bun chicken sandwich and listen, he didn't speak a single word the entire meal because he was enjoying it so much! I ordered the Lucky Bun made with an Impossible patty. It was everything! Best I've had at a restaurant! In fact, my son, who loves beef burgers and claims he doesn't like plant based meat, ended up eating the rest of my burger! He tore that plant based meat DOWN! -Thick cut chips & Queso: The waiter let us know that their portion of fries (chips) could easily feed 3 to 4 people. He was not lying at all. The three of us shared one basket. I don't know if the sandwiches or the fries stole the show. These fries were seasoned to absolute perfection!!! SERIOUSLY! Not the typical sprinkle on top, but seasoned on every single side like someone picked up each fry and hand sprinkled each fry. Think I'm fibbing look at my pic. We ordered a side of queso for dipping and it was so good I wish I had some right now. If you're reading, hear me out Lucky Bun....add tortilla chips and queso to the menu please!!!! I would buy it just to scoop up that delicious cheese. -The Garlic Aioli: why am I highlighting a condiment???? Because!! lol!! It wasn't just standard mayo mixed with garlic powder. You could tell someone actually finely minced fresh garlic and herbs into it. It was so good I couldn't decide whether to dip my fries in the aioli or the queso! So that's why it's in my review! 2. Service The service was exceptional. There was no wait time at all. We walked straight in and were seated immediately. The food came out extremely fast which surprised us since we all ordered completely different proteins. They were speedy but all of our food arrived perfectly warm. The host, a slim gentleman, and our waitress, a lovely young lady rockin locs, were both incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. I'm telling you good service makes the food even better! 3. Restaurant Look and Seating The inside of the restaurant is fairly small, but they maximized the space with multiple tables and a full service bar. They also have outdoor dining and a front waiting area with outdoor furniture, which would be perfect for a nice summer day. You don't even have to ask me because you already know the answer. YES!!! The next time I am in DC, I will specifically make time to go there. Even if I'm not staying in the immediate area, I would gladly take an Uber just to eat here again and so will my family! Make sure you get there too!

The mosquitoes aren't out yet so enjoy the patio. But honestly, the real star of the show, the one that truly stole my heart and taste buds, was the Antigua Bound drink. It was so good I had to get it twice! Seriously, this drink is a game-changer. It's got that perfect balance of refreshing and delicious that just makes you want to savor every sip.
