We randomly stopped in here for our last meal in DC on our way out of the hotel dragging our luggage and all. It was not really a planned thing, but we kept seeing this place every time we left our hotel and we wanted to see if they lived up to their name. They definitely do. This is a very busy lunch spot. We came right at lunchtime and the line was almost out the door. It's obviously very popular with the people that work around the area. Plenty of Federal employees talking shop in line. There are separate lines inside, depending on what you are ordering. I would say to figure that out before you come, that way you can immediately jump in the correct line. I have never seen a sandwich spot with so many employees working and it looks chaotic but they really have it down to a science. Every single employee there had a specific purpose and they were all doing it well. The line moved fairly quick and everything was very fresh. I'm a little late to this review so I don't remember exactly what we ordered, but we both enjoyed our sandwiches very much. I would say from the time we entered the restaurant to the time we were sitting down and eating was probably less than ten minutes, which was pretty amazing given how busy it was there. So the sandwiches here are pretty good, definitely a solid stop by for some sammys, sales or wraps. Big big fan of the steak and herb aoli sandwich, that has now become my go-to. We ordered a Muenster club, BLT, Korean steak melt, chipotle grilled chicken melt, and a buffalo chicken salad--and every single thing was excellent. The sandwiches were fresh, loaded, and packed with flavor. No weak links at all. But the real surprise? Dessert. We got to share about five different croissant flavors, and honestly--they were the best croissants I've ever had. I can't even remember all the flavors because we went through them so fast, but every single one was incredible. Crispy on the outside, fluffy and perfect on the inside--exactly what you want in a great croissant. Between the food, the location, and being able to take it over to enjoy with the cherry blossoms, this turned into one of those perfect DC lunch days. The chicken Caesar wrap with jalapeños added was sooo worth the hype. Packed full of crunchy lettuce, croutons and chicken and bursting at the seams. I was in the area for a training class (literally next door) and was searching for something tasty, yet nearby. A classmate ate there on our first day of class so he was raving about the wide selection of sandwiches and salads and that you can order online and pick up your order to save some time. I visited their shop several times over 4 days :) It was that good and had a huge choice of options, so I was able to order something different each time. If you ordered online, you can walk right up the cash register counter area and look for your name and grab your bag and go! If you order onsite, you'll split into a Salad line and a Sandwich line. Each item is made by hand so you may have a bit of a wait for your sandwich, but it's so worth it! My overall favorite was their Pork Meatball Banh Mi with sriracha mayo, pickled onion, cilantro, shredded carrots. Their meatballs are actually a flatter patty so the toppings, nor the meatballs get pushed out while you're eating (all banh mi's should be made this way)!! It's also available as a vegan option with grilled tofu and sweet chili sauce. All sandwiches are wrapped and cut in half, and a large pickle is included in the box. For my second visit, I chose the Hearty Farro bowl (and doubled up the farro instead of the kale) and added chicken. It was so flavorful but since they shake the bowls and salads, the beet juice turned all the farro a pretty burgundy :) This is full of cucumber, roasted beets, spicy broccoli, crushed honey roasted almonds, roasted sweet potato, red onion, and tossed in roasted sesame dressing. My only complaint was there was way too much raw red onion, so if I order this again, I'll ask for half the portion of onion. I created a custom bowl for my flight home that could sit in the fridge and be carried around the airport. I started with their japchae (Korean sweet potato noodles) and brown rice, then added sweet potatoes, spicy broccoli, toasted walnuts, goat cheese, roasted carrots, then had it tossed with both the curry and sesame dressings. I substituted the brown rice for the greens and the first 4 items after that are free, then you pay for each additional topping, plus option protein. I also stopped by during our first break to try one of their breakfast sandwiches, and again, was not disappointed! I picked the Sage Sauage and Egg - house made sausage, scramble egg, maple honey sauce, gruyere cheese and frisee (which i had removed) on a soft brioche bun. The combination of the maple sauce and the savory sausage and egg was amazing!!! It's a good thing this shop is not in Tulsa or I would be broke.... Go for lunch, grab a sandwich or two, maybe an extra salad for dinner and you will definitely not be disappointed. read more

Was really excited to try out this place and it didn't disappoint! They have a huge variety of sandwiches and salads. The salads are huge and I like that they toss it before packing it in a takeaway container. I got the chicken caesar salad wrap and it was delicious (and large). Despite waiting an hour or so to eat it agter i initially got it, the wrap didn't get soggy and the lettuce and croutons inside were still pleasantly crisp.
