Double bacon smash burger (9.5/10) was perfectly cooked and very satisfying. The place gets quite noisy, and they do have a large outdoor patio (I've noticed a lot of restaurants in DuPont circle are boomy and noisy with young people). Hard to talk at a non-club level volume of people talking over one another. Service was good. Paloma cocktail (9/10) was well made and the beer was fresh and cold (10/10). A solid but noisy choice for burgers and drinks.

TLDR: 5/5 service, fun 2010s hits, and a great side salad, but unfortunately the burger was disappointing. The music was great, playing plenty of hits from the 2010s, and the service was fantastic! Everyone was friendly and accommodating, an easy 5/5 for service. The bathrooms were not the cleanest, but the restaurant itself was well maintained. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I ordered the American burger, and the beef tasted a bit off. The patty was not fully smashed and tasted overcooked. It was also dry, I had to dip every bite in ketchup. The sauce inside was bland, and overall, the burger lacked flavor and texture. The side salad, however, was fantastic! The arugula was fresh and generously portioned, and the dressing was delicious. But I didn't order a burger just to enjoy the side salad more than the main dish. With such a small menu and burgers making up a significant portion of it, this was a bit disappointing. The service and atmosphere were great, but the burger itself really missed the mark for me.

We had two great experiences eating at this restaurant. The first day, we watched the soccer game, and I enjoyed the Filibuster Burger. It was a little messy, but such is politics. Our waitress was patient with my family's complicated requests and provided us with standout service. We enjoyed the vibe, the chill environment, and the soccer matches. The next day, we returned and had the same waitress, and the experience was just the same... wonderful. Would return again the next time we're in town.

Went here for the finale of the 2026 World Cup. The environment was causal and welcoming. Was drawn to it because the crowd was vast meaning it had to be good right? The answer is yes! Our waitress made the experience enjoyable and still was able to navigated through the sea of people effortlessly. She even promptly replaced the guacamole of someone's order at our table as there was hair in it. The wings were crispy and saucy, just the way I like it and the Brussels sprouts were nicely fried. My friend really enjoyed her cheeseburger as well. Tipping is optional and is clearly stated at the top of the menu, but it was well deserved!

This was my first time at The Admiral. It was a great experience. Everyone that we interacted with was very friendly. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress, Viola, was amazing! She was patient and really on it. The food was also delicious. We started with the Sampler Platter and everything was nicely cooked and had great flavor. I had the Kickin' buffalo Chicken Sandwich. It had some nice kick and a good amount of sauce. My teen loved the music and said who ever picks the music should get a raise! If we are ever in the area again, we would return here for sure!

So after my friend and I finished up at a bar, we needed food and I found this spot which led us here. It was straight up LOUD when we arrived due to the music; so loud I debated on if we should stay but we decided on sticking here after seeing there were a couple spots at the bar and less of a crowd there. The bartenders are attentive and patient, answering any questions you have. After ordering a couple beers, I ordered the chicken wings and a side caesar salad while my friend got the fish and chips. The wings are crispy although dry on the inside; fortunately you got the ranch for that; probably not something I would order again given the quality and price. The caesar salad is fine; nothing special, just fine. The fish and chips looked delicious and my friend enjoyed it. I probably should've gone with that but it was a large portion and I wasn't trying to leave on a full stomach. It's breaded nicely with some parmesan fries and a garnish of slaw. I can tell it's a favorite here. Located in Dupont Circle, this seems to be a favorite of the younger crowd which would explain the blaring music; especially on a Wednesday night at 930ish. The restaurant interior gives an upscale elegant vibe that suites the DC scene. Maybe I'll come here for lunch or on the weekend if I'm in the area but I'm too old for the loud music now. Sit outside (if weather permits).

We had a very large party, about 15-20 people, and the Admiral was nice enough to give us multiple tables on the patio. We called them that morning, so we appreciated their flexibility at short notice. Environment is a fun, easygoing, dark wood bar. Great for relaxing with friends. I only tried a couple menu items for food but they were flavorful and expedient! Would definitely come back.

Great service (our waiter was Jack and he is incredibly personable and made our visit so much more special). Great American burger. Seriously, we cannot say enough things about this burger. We loved it so much that we just had DoorDash deliver three burgers to our hotel. YUM!

We had a chicken quesadilla because we weren't super hungry. It was filling and the sauce had a smoky spicy sweet flavor. Drinks were decent, not overpriced. Only complaint is that if you want to sit outside you have to go into order. The waiter brought our food out fairly quickly but we had to ask for napkins and water. I think the service is better inside based on what we saw.

We had a late reservation here due to a delayed flight and the staff was very accommodating and Matt our server was very nice and welcoming. He recommended the burgers and it did not disappoint. Seasoned nicely with a side of Parmesan fries. The wrap was a sizeable portion with enough for another meal. Great local casual spot you should try located in the DuPont Circle area.

This was the appetizer sampler. Wings, parm fries, cheesesteak eggrolls and pretzels.

It was a Friday night 8ish. Busy and loud. People were having a great time. Our server was very good and the food was very good as well.

Table decor they allowed us to set up!

I think they take reservations but we were able to grab a bar spot. Are drinks pricey? What do you think? It's a cocktail bar in DC. The drinks we tried were pretty tasty, even the mezcal one which I thought was a refreshing take. The wall shows some of the drinks on the menu and the ingredients/glass it comes in which I thought was a nice touch. Bartenders were friendly but not too chatty as they were super busy but you never waited long for a drink. The bourbon drink with the whipped honey was our favorite but the gin drink that was pink was also fantastic. For food I did try the buffalo chicken dip, pretty large and tasty (not too spicy) and loved the super crisp celery and the fritos. Clean, trendy bathrooms, nice vibes throughout the whole spot for pictures, great for a night cap or pre-dinner drink.

It tasted like a rainbow--just bright and with a really delicious after taste. I should have stopped at the rose but after my trying my friend's, i had to have one! We initially came for happy hour, but moved to the cocktail menu. The hh was a bit limited, but the drinks were priced overall pretty reasonably for the area. My one complaint is the wine glasses were so teeny. Overall though, I would recommend this bar. Bonus: cheese balls when you sit down! I believe there is also a limited food menu (think nachos) for the after work or late night crowd.

The cocktails are interesting and thoughtfully created. Unlike a typical mezcal-based cocktail, Promiscuous wasn't tropical or fruity at all, but more spirit-forward with a little spice. Highly recommend. It made me curious about what else they could offer. I noticed almost everyone was doing the $48 four-course tasting experience, so I decided to give it a try. Although I'm not a big fan of deep-fried food, I actually really liked the coconut shrimp tempura. Among the four courses, the yellowtail "roll" was the most special. It's not really a roll in the traditional sense -- crispy on the outside, with the yellowtail wrapped around it in a very creative presentation. The portion of the four- courses was surprisingly generous; I ended up taking most of it home. Since I Left You is an Old Fashioned variation with miso, blackberry, cardamom and cacao. If, like me, you dig creative takes on an Old Fashioned, don't miss this one. I came in just looking for a chilled place to have a drink, and ended up staying for the whole experience. That probably says enough.
