Wow! I didn't have any idea how great of a deal i got. I used yelp to put quotes out to several carpet cleaners. I specified a very short window of time i had to get the job done. I provided pictures of the problem and my phone number. Alec was the only cleaner that got back to me via text message and a personal phone call everyone else just replied back on yelp a price and nothing further. Alec was confident he could make my window of time and get my carpets Sparkling. He delivered much more than that. He offered not only to do my stairs like i requested but he did all three bedrooms upstairs for such a low additional fee i couldn't resist. He was in and out of my home in one hour flat. Oleg was punctual, professional, and courteous. We were able to book him on short notice and the work is excellent (carpet, stairs, area rug cleaning). He listened to my concerns about chemical residues, as we have an infant that crawls on the floor and puts everything in her mouth. They cleaned the carpet and tile. They arrived at the time specified. They estimated it would take 1.5 hours for a 1,200 sf 2 story condo. They pre-sprayed the entire floor and then worked their way from upstairs, down the stairs, and out the garage door. Their van was older and did not have any signage. Their equipment broke down so the van was replaced with another van in an hour. Overall it took 3+ hours. There were still some darker grout areas so I requested a redo. The following day they again arrived on time and redid the bad areas. As it turned out the grout was stained and not dirty so they recommended re-grouting. So the redo was not necessary. Minus one star for older equipment, lack of signage, and breaking down, plus one star for the redo. I recommend having the floors cleaned once a year to avoid this issue. read more

I selected 8 Services for a carpet cleaning, made my appointment and waited. At the time of the appointment a non logoed van ( that needed body work) showed up. Can this be the carpet cleaning company I spoke with, I asked myself? The technician got out and reassured me that he was the company I had chosen. That was when my concerns ended. He opened the van to show me one of the largest cleaning machines I've ever seen. From there he started unpacking the equipment. He didn't ask if I wanted to pay for pretreating, he just did it. He didn't ask if I wanted to include the hall between rooms, he just did it. I asked "How much more for a 10 x 10 area rug....nothing... he just did it. In the end he gave me the care instructions and drying times, packed up his truck and left. No increase in the very reasonable price first quoted and the carpets looked amazing. I rescue and foster dogs. My large dog passed away and the little dogs decided to start marking my couch and rug to see who will be "the big dog". I couldn't get the smell out. Sent a generic message to 5 different carpet cleaners explaining that my dog peed in my car and I needed to get the smell out. The smell was so bad even after using nature's miracle and getting my car detailed that I thought my only choice was to sell the car. My last ditch effort was to hire a carpet cleaner. The 4 other companies gave me long, detailed messages of possibly not getting the smell out, Alecs messaged back, "yeah I can do it". I laughed at his brief and confident response and immediately hired him. While at the house, I asked to add on 4 area rugs, one which he helped pull out by lifting a 700lb bed(he said he has a moving company too). I called California Coast Carpet Cleaning and they sent Oleg (he goes by Alec to some) to come clean the brand new tan/beige Berber carpet the next day after an entire wine bottle (yes, not a glass of wine or even half a bottle...the entire bottle) broke over some carpeted stairs the night before. It looked like a crime scene - there was red wine all over the steps, the riser, and in the crevice/corner in between the step and riser. After I blotted out as much as I could, and then used Resolve spot cleaning spray and waited 5 min instead of the recommended 3, I still had a gigantic mess. Hence the call to a carpet cleaner. California Coast Carpet Cleaning had great reviews on groupon but instead of buying from them I called first at 9pm to ensure they could remove red wine before I purchased something I couldn't use. I said the wine was all over three steps, and he said they usually charge $60 for someone just to come out, but if I wanted the entire stairs, it would be $65. Done!!! I spoke with Robert and he was nice enough to ask me over the phone if I had white wine readily available as that also dilutes the red. I didn't, sadly. Oleg and his brother Max showed up and whether it was the solution they used or simply the amount of water that was sprayed from their jug of solution that diluted it, the red stain looked way better than it had. After my blotting and the Resolve, it was 50% better but still looked plain awful. After the jug spray from Oleg, it looked 75% or even 80% better than before. No joke! I could see the red come out when he used the steamer to remove whatever he had just sprayed on, but from eagle eye looking down, you could still see some red areas where the wine had perhaps seeped more deeply through the Berber carpet, so I said so, and he gladly offered to spray over it with something called Red Remover (apparently professional grade he said but I will look for it anyway online!). He went over it two more times with that Red Remover for a total of three times because even though he said he couldn't see it when he walked up the stairs, I could still see it from up top looking down. I don't mean that Oleg obligingly went over it a couple more times, but that he was super helpful and smiling the entire time and said he'd spray it again. Seriously, what awesome customer service, even if I was a crazy lady who could see a shadow of red. So there was the jug spray solution used once, then Red Remover three times. And the steamer after each of those times. Oleg told me he had his own business and I told him I'd write a review because I was so impressed. The last time I had carpet cleaners, they tore up the shag carpeting we had. I don't know if the machine they used was just so strong that it pulled up the carpet or what, but every time that Oleg sprayed the Red Remover and went over it with the steamer, I could see more red come out. Then I think after the third time of Red Remover it looked the same so no need to have him keep going over it if the result would be the same. He reminded me that it was still wet so the dampness might make it appear darker, but that once it dried in a few hours it would be lighter. Well I checked the next morning, and sure enough, it did look better than when it was damp, but I can still see a shadow of where it used to be. I am looking for it though, whereas I don't know whether anyone who wasn't looking for it would be able to see it. I have since recommended Oleg and 8 Services Carpet Cleaning to one of my girlfriends and also to my landlord for his own house and will definitely be calling him again if I am in need. He also mentioned he has a moving service company too. Oleg even let me venmo him because I wasn't sure if I had enough cash. He is awesome!!! read more
